Green-fee ranges: Yuma golf leagues: men's, ladies' and RV-resort groups for winter visitors

Yuma golf leagues run from about October to April, when winter visitors are in town. Most are weekly groups run by a course pro shop: you sign up, pay the green fee plus a small prize-pool entry and play a set morning. A few RV-resort leagues are residents only, and dues run from $2 a week to $35 a season.

Joining a league is the easiest way to get a regular tee time, meet other golfers and fill a winter calendar. It also explains why some mornings are hard to book if you are not in one. This guide lists every league published for the 2026-27 season, who can join and what it costs, with prices seen in October 2026. Dues and formats change each season, so confirm with the pro shop.

Quick facts

  • Season: roughly October or November to March or April, following the winter visitors.
  • Busiest league mornings: Tuesday to Thursday at most courses, plus Friday at Mesa del Sol and Coyote Wash.
  • Cost: low dues (from $2 a week to $35 a season where published), green fees on top.
  • Open to visitors: yes at most public courses; Fortuna Del Rey leagues are residents only.
  • No Yuma-wide league or pass: every program is run by one course.

The Foothills leagues

Las Barrancas and Foothills Executive

Las Barrancas runs two leagues from October to April. The Silver League plays every Tuesday over 18 holes and is open to men and women. Five dollars of each entry goes to the prize pool, which is paid out as pro-shop credit, and there are four closest-to-the-pin contests. The Women's League plays every Wednesday. The regular green fee was $65 for 18 with cart in October 2026, so budget for that on top of the entry. The Las Barrancas course guide covers the layout and the tees.

Next door, Foothills Executive has a Men's League on Wednesday and a Women's League on Thursday, both over nine holes. The format matches Las Barrancas: $5 of each entry to the weekly prize pool and three closest-to-the-pin contests. You sign up in the pro shop. The posted nine-hole rate was $35.

Mesa del Sol

At Mesa del Sol, leagues and passholders take big blocks of the winter tee sheet. The Men's Association plays Fridays from 11 AM from mid-October to mid-April. The Ladies' league plays Monday and Thursday mornings from 9 AM, November to April. A third group, the Can-Am men's group, also takes blocks of the winter tee sheet. Mesa del Sol publishes no league dues; call the club at 928-342-1283. A directory listing says a handicap-only option exists without joining either association, which is unconfirmed.

Many league players at Mesa del Sol also hold a season pass, which for 2026-27 cost $3,500 for a 6-month individual pass. The Mesa del Sol course guide has the full pass terms, and our guide to Yuma golf passes compares it with the other courses.

RV-resort golf leagues in Yuma

Cocopah Bend: winter clubs at a public course

Cocopah Bend sits inside the Cocopah Bend RV & Golf Resort on the west side of Yuma. The course is open to the public, but it does not publish who can join its winter clubs, so ask the pro shop. The season runs November to March:

  • Men's 18-hole club, $35: Monday organized play with tee times provided, handicaps, a club championship and a season-end banquet.
  • Men's "Niners" 9-hole club, $35: Tuesday mornings, and you can join anytime.
  • Ladies' 18-hole club: Wednesdays; it is an AWGA member club.
  • Ladies' 9-hole club: Tuesday mornings.

Dues cover club membership only, not green fees, and the course posts no green fees (it says to call 928-343-1663). The Cocopah Bend course guide has the hole notes.

Fortuna Del Rey: residents only

Fortuna Del Rey is the nine-hole course inside Fortuna de Oro RV Resort, a Cal-Am 55+ park in the Foothills. Its leagues run November to March and are for residents only. The Tuesday and Wednesday leagues also require a stay of a month or more. League mornings are Tuesday to Thursday from 8:30 AM, with a Friday scramble at 1 PM. The 2025-26 dues were very low ($2 to $15 plus weekly prize money, see the table). A back-in site at Fortuna de Oro was $1,090 a month on the 2026-27 card. Our guide to Yuma RV resorts with golf compares the parks.

Other resort groups

Villa Alameda RV Resort lists informal golf groups among its activities. Westwind's par-3 course: status unclear, call first.

City and Wellton leagues

Desert Hills, the city course, has men's and women's clubs. Their 2026-27 dues and play days were not published; ask the golf shop at 928-373-5220.

Coyote Wash, about 40 minutes east of downtown Yuma in Wellton (about 25 from the Foothills), runs four weekly shotgun starts in season: men on Tuesday at 9:00, women on Wednesday at 9:30, skins on Friday at 9:00 and couples on Sunday at 9:00. League fees are not published, so ask at the pro shop (928-785-4653).

How to join a Yuma golf league

  1. Pick your base first. The Foothills leagues (Las Barrancas, Foothills Executive, Mesa del Sol) suit a Foothills RV park or rental. Cocopah Bend suits the west side. See our guide to Fortuna Foothills golf for the cluster, and Yuma monthly rentals for snowbirds for condos and park models near each league.
  2. Visit the pro shop in your first week. Several leagues sign up at the counter, and Cocopah's Niners let you join anytime. Canadians staying 30 days or more should also sort out US registration early; see Canadian snowbirds in Yuma.
  3. Ask about handicaps and formats. The Las Barrancas and Foothills Executive leagues are prize-pool events; Cocopah's men's club keeps handicaps.
  4. Budget green fees separately. Where dues and entries are published, they do not include the round.
  5. Plan your other days around league mornings. If you are not in a league, those are the hardest mornings to book. Our guide to Yuma tee times in winter shows the booking windows.

When league mornings fill the tee sheet

If you are not joining a league, know which mornings to avoid:

Day League play
MondayMesa del Sol ladies (9 AM), Cocopah Bend men's club
TuesdayLas Barrancas Silver League, Cocopah Niners and ladies' 9-hole, Fortuna Del Rey men, Coyote Wash men (9:00)
WednesdayLas Barrancas women, Foothills Executive men, Cocopah ladies' 18, Fortuna Del Rey couples, Coyote Wash women (9:30)
ThursdayMesa del Sol ladies (9 AM), Foothills Executive women, Fortuna Del Rey ladies
FridayMesa del Sol men (from 11 AM), Coyote Wash skins (9:00), Fortuna Del Rey scramble (1 PM)
SundayCoyote Wash couples (9:00)

Saturday has no published league play, though Mesa del Sol closes to the public for outside scrambles on some Saturdays (Nov 7 and Dec 5, 2026). Our snowbird golf schedule for Yuma builds a weekly rotation around these days, and the Yuma winter golf guide covers the rest of the season. If you also winter in Nevada some years, our Mesquite snowbird golf guide covers that town.

Plan it on the map

Every course and RV resort in this guide is on the Yuma golf map, with drive times between them, so you can see which leagues are a short drive from your site. The $30 plan can cover a whole winter stay, with a weekly rotation that works around your league days.

Questions golfers ask

Can winter visitors join Yuma golf leagues?

Yes, at most public courses. The Foothills Executive leagues sign up through the pro shop, and Cocopah Bend's Niners club lets you join anytime; ask each shop about eligibility. The Fortuna Del Rey leagues are the exception: they are for Fortuna de Oro RV Resort residents only.

How much do Yuma golf leagues cost?

Dues are small and green fees are extra. Cocopah Bend's men's 18-hole club and its 9-hole Niners club were $35 a season, and Fortuna Del Rey's resident leagues ran from $2 a week to $15 a season plus weekly prize money in 2025-26. At Las Barrancas and Foothills Executive, $5 of each entry goes to the prize pool.

When does the Yuma league season start?

Most leagues follow the winter-visitor season. Las Barrancas runs October to April, the Mesa del Sol men's group mid-October to mid-April and its ladies' group November to April, and Cocopah Bend and Fortuna Del Rey November to March. Ask each pro shop for its first league date.

Which days are league days at Yuma golf courses?

Las Barrancas has leagues on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, Foothills Executive on Wednesday and Thursday, and Mesa del Sol on Monday and Thursday mornings plus Friday from 11 AM. Cocopah Bend's clubs play Monday to Wednesday mornings, and Coyote Wash has shotgun starts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday mornings.

Do I need a handicap to play in a Yuma golf league?

Not always. The Las Barrancas Silver League and the Foothills Executive leagues are prize-pool formats with closest-to-the-pin contests, and the Cocopah Bend men's club keeps handicaps for its members. Ask the pro shop how each league handles handicaps before you sign up.

Is there one golf league or pass that covers all of Yuma?

No. No Yuma-wide golf pass, card or league was found as of October 2026. Leagues, passes and punch cards are run course by course.

Are the RV resort golf leagues in Yuma open to outsiders?

It depends on the resort. Cocopah Bend's course is open to the public and its Niners club lets you join anytime, but the course does not spell out who else can join its clubs, so call 928-343-1663. Fortuna Del Rey's leagues at Fortuna de Oro are residents only, and its Tuesday and Wednesday leagues need a stay of a month or more.
