Atlas plate: Yuma Monthly Rentals for Snowbirds: Where to Base a One- to Three-Month Golf Stay, Foothills or City, and When to Book

Yuma monthly rentals for snowbirds come in three forms: owner condos on the Mesa del Sol fairways at about $1,400 to $3,050 a month, furnished park models and homes through local managers from $1,300, and RV sites at $605 to $1,090 plus utilities. Base in the Foothills for Mesa del Sol and Las Barrancas, or in town for Desert Hills.

All prices below were seen on listings and official rate pages in October 2026. Rental listings change daily, so treat them as a guide to the market rather than units you can book.

Quick facts

  • Local manager: Long Realty Yuma, with furnished park models at $1,300 a month and a furnished Mesa del Sol condo at $2,500.
  • RV sites: about $605 to $1,090 a month for a site, plus utilities, at the resorts on the map.

Condos and homes: the golf-course option

The Mesa del Sol golf community has condos and townhomes along the course, with the 9th and 18th holes mentioned in listings. Some complexes have a community pool and spa covered by HOA dues, most units have in-unit laundry, and most have a garage or carport.

Two things to know before you sign:

  • There is no front desk. Units come through Long Realty and other local brokers, Airbnb, Vrbo or Furnished Finder. Quality, rules and prices vary by owner, and HOA rental rules such as minimum lease length were not found, so ask the owner.
  • Golf is not included. No HOA golf inclusion was found, so you still pay Mesa del Sol for green fees or a pass. Its 2026-27 six-month pass is $3,500 for an individual or $5,650 for a family, cart and range included.

From the condos it is about 1 minute by road to Mesa del Sol, 12 minutes to Las Barrancas and 25 minutes to Coyote Wash.

Park models, homes and private RV lots

Long Realty Yuma is a regular local property manager, so most of its stock is unfurnished leases. In October 2026 it also had furnished park models in the Foothills at $1,300 a month (one on a 6 to 9 month seasonal lease with power to a $200 cap, water and garbage included), the furnished Mesa del Sol condo at $2,500, a furnished three-bedroom home at $2,000, and private RV lots at $350 a month and $450 a month per RV from October to April including power and water ($650 May to September).

Applications go through AppFolio, with a $60 application fee and $25 to $30 pet screening on some listings. Contact details differ between state records, so use the listings page to get in touch.

Some RV resorts also have park models. Fortuna de Oro has resident-owned park models for rent (call the office for the current list), and Sun Vista offers park models for rent or purchase.

Longer stays cut the monthly price at most of these parks. The golf at each, and the multi-month packages, are in Yuma RV resorts with golf.

Hotels with kitchens for shorter stays

For a week or two, a suite hotel can beat a lease. None published a monthly rate, so these are nightly prices for Wednesday, February 17, 2027, seen October 2026, before tax:

Hotel Kitchen Feb 17, 2027 from Notes
Homewood Suites by Hilton YumaFull kitchen in every suite$158Free hot breakfast; parking $5.12 a day; King beds only
Home2 Suites by Hilton Yuma Pivot PointKitchen in every suite$159Free breakfast; walk to downtown
Best Western Plus Yuma FoothillsKitchenette in King suites$131 with breakfast (Kayak)Foothills, 6 minutes from Mesa del Sol

Thirty nights at $158 would be $4,740 before tax, well above a rental or an RV site, so hotels make sense for short stays or while you look for a lease.

Foothills or city: where to base

For a monthly stay, location matters more than the unit, because you drive to golf most days.

Routed estimates from the site's drive data.

The Foothills put you minutes from Mesa del Sol, Las Barrancas, Foothills Executive and the Foothills Par 3, and about 25 minutes from Coyote Wash in Wellton. Groceries and chain restaurants are on Foothills Blvd and Fortuna Rd, but several Foothills restaurants close at 7 or 8 PM, and downtown is about 20 minutes away.

The city is closer to Desert Hills, Yuma Golf & Country Club, the airport, the Andrade crossing and most of the restaurants in our dining guide. The Foothills courses are 19 to 29 minutes away.

If you will play Mesa del Sol or Las Barrancas most days, stay in the Foothills; if Desert Hills is your home course, stay in town. The snowbird golf schedule for Yuma shows how a weekly rotation works from either base. More on the trade-offs in where to stay in Yuma for golf and Fortuna Foothills golf, and on dinner options in where to eat in Yuma.

When to book for January to March

  • Book a season ahead if you can. Demand peaks from January to March. Yuma's monthly RV and rental stays are often booked a season in advance.
  • Expect few furnished units. Long Realty's list was mostly unfurnished leases, so start looking for a furnished unit well before the season.
  • No one publishes fill dates. None of the managers or resorts checked said how early winter fills.
  • Watch for offers. Fortuna de Oro is offering new guests one month at $495 in January, February or March 2027, with exclusions.
  • Line up golf at the same time. Mesa del Sol's six-month pass can be bought up to four months before its start date, and must start before March 1, 2027. See the Yuma golf passes guide.

Before you pay a deposit

Check these before paying for any rental above:

  • Yuma listing sites carry rental-scam warnings. Never wire a deposit to an unverified owner.
  • Check exactly which utilities are included; it varies by listing.
  • Ask about pets: policies vary by listing and owner.
  • Canadians staying 30 days or longer have US registration and day-count rules to follow; see our guide for Canadian snowbirds in Yuma.

For the season as a whole, see Yuma winter golf. The Mesa del Sol and Las Barrancas course guides cover the two 18-hole courses closest to the Foothills rentals.

Questions golfers ask

How much is a monthly rental in Yuma for snowbirds?

On listings seen in October 2026: Mesa del Sol golf-course condos and townhomes ran about $1,400 to $3,050 a month (furnished at the top end), Long Realty Yuma had furnished Foothills park models at $1,300 a month and a furnished 3-bedroom home at $2,000, and RV resorts charged about $605 to $1,090 a month for a site plus utilities. Listings change daily.

Can I rent a condo on a golf course in Yuma?

Yes. Private owners rent condos and townhomes on the Mesa del Sol fairways, including a furnished 3-bedroom on the 9th fairway listed at $2,500 a month with water, sewer, trash and electric included (seen October 2026). There is no central rental office, so units come through local brokers, Airbnb, Vrbo or Furnished Finder, and golf is paid separately.

Is it better to stay in the Foothills or in Yuma for golf?

The Foothills put you minutes from Mesa del Sol, Las Barrancas and the Foothills Executive and Par 3 courses, but downtown is about 20 minutes away and several Foothills restaurants close at 7 or 8 PM. A city base is closer to Desert Hills, Yuma Golf & Country Club, the airport and most restaurants, and about 20 to 30 minutes from the Foothills courses.

When should I book a Yuma winter rental for January to March?

As early as possible. Monthly RV and rental stays in Yuma are often booked a season in advance, furnished units are few, and no manager publishes how early winter fills. January to March is the peak of demand.

Do Yuma hotels offer monthly rates?

No monthly hotel rates were published. Kitchen-suite hotels such as Homewood Suites (from $158 a night on Feb 17, 2027) and Home2 Suites (from $159) sell by the night, which costs far more over a month than a rental or RV site. They suit stays of a week or two.

How do I avoid rental scams in Yuma?

Yuma listing sites carry rental-scam warnings. Never wire a deposit to an owner you have not verified. Mesa del Sol units have no central office, so prices and rules vary by owner and several aggregator listings were stale or contradictory.

Can I rent a park model in a Yuma RV resort?

Sometimes. Long Realty Yuma listed furnished park models in the Foothills at $1,300 a month in October 2026, one on a 6 to 9 month seasonal lease with power to a $200 cap, water and garbage included. Fortuna de Oro has resident-owned park models for rent (call for the current list), and Sun Vista offers park models for rent or purchase through its office.
