Two Yuma RV resorts with golf have a working course on site: Cocopah Bend RV & Golf Resort, with its own 18 on the west side, and Fortuna de Oro in the Foothills, with a nine-hole course and range. Westwind's par 3 has unclear status, and several 55+ parks sit six to eight minutes from Mesa del Sol.

Choosing an RV base for golf is really about where you will play most. This guide compares each resort's golf, its 2026-27 or current rates, the drive to the main courses and the rules that catch people out. All rates were seen on official resort pages in October 2026, exclude tax unless noted, and change.

Rate-card dates differ: Cocopah Bend's is dated November 1, 2025; Fortuna de Oro's 2026-27 card took effect May 1, 2026; Las Quintas and Del Pueblo publish September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027 prices; Westwind, Sun Vista and Caravan Oasis cards are undated.

Cocopah Bend RV & Golf Resort: 18 holes from the rig

The Cocopah Indian Tribe's resort on S Strand Avenue is the only Yuma RV resort with its own full 18. Cocopah Bend Golf Course is short, flat and narrow: par 73 and 5,737 yards from the Blue tees (67.2 / 110), with lakes on three holes, washes and out of bounds along the edges. It calls itself easily walked.

  • Green fees: not published; the course says to call for winter and summer rates (928-343-1663). No resident rate is published. Bookings are by phone only.
  • Winter clubs (November to March): a men's 18-hole club on Mondays and a men's nine-hole "Niners" club on Tuesdays, $35 dues each, plus an 18-hole ladies' club on Wednesdays and a nine-hole ladies' club on Tuesdays. Dues cover membership only, not green fees.
  • Overseed: the course is open all year except October. In 2024 it was closed from September 30 to about October 27; 2026 dates were not published.
  • Site rates: $65 a day or $350 a week with electricity included; $705 a month plus metered electricity; $4,020 a year plus electricity. Based on two people, with $5 a night per extra guest aged 12 and over. No three- or four-month package is published.
  • Also on site: a heated pool and spa, a tax-free pro shop, the 19th Hole Restaurant for breakfast and lunch, a ballroom, pickleball and a separate pet section.

The trade-off is location. By road it is 34 minutes to Mesa del Sol and 39 to Las Barrancas, so Foothills golf means a drive each time. Reviews of course conditions are mixed. The Cocopah Bend course guide and our Cocopah Bend golf course post cover it in detail.

Fortuna de Oro: nine holes with Las Barrancas down the road

Cal-Am's 55+ resort in the Foothills has about 1,200 sites and the nine-hole Fortuna Del Rey course, par 36 and 3,069 yards from the White tees, with a driving range and putting area.

  • Golf access: golf directories list the course as public, but the resort publishes no visitor policy or green fees. Its leagues (November to March) are for residents only, and the Tuesday and Wednesday leagues only for residents staying a month or more. The 2026-27 season start is not published; in 2025-26 the pro shop closed for the season on April 13, after which play was on an honor system at $10. Pro shop: 928-342-4766.
  • Site rates (2026-27): back-in $72 a day or $415 a week with utilities; pull-through $84 or $495. Monthly $1,090 for a back-in site, with electric, sewer and trash billed on top; three months $3,145; four months $3,970. Extra person $3 a day or $50 a month. The rate card's layout was ambiguous about which extras apply to the longer stays, so confirm.
  • Intro offer: new guests can book one month at $495 for January, February or March 2027 (reservations made before August 28, 2026 and park models excluded).
  • Rules: RVs must be at least 22 feet, fully self-contained and under 10 years old (exceptions at management's discretion). Monthly and longer stays pay the full term at check-in, and site fees are non-refundable.

By road it is 8 minutes to Mesa del Sol, 11 to Las Barrancas and 26 to Coyote Wash in Wellton. See the Fortuna Del Rey course guide and our post on Fortuna Del Rey golf.

Westwind RV & Golf Resort: a big park near the Foothills

Westwind, on E 32nd Street, is a large park (about 1,075 sites and a 55+ rule, per third-party listings) with a busy activity calendar, a bar and grill, a pool and spa. Its own par-3 course has unclear status: call first.

  • Rates: $60 a day or $400 a week from October to April. Monthly $900 January to April, $750 September to December, $525 May to September, with electricity metered and $60 a month for water, sewer and trash.
  • Specials: any three consecutive months January to April $2,500; any four December to April $2,700; a four-month fall special of $899 total (September to December); annual $5,000. Utilities extra.
  • Rules: a $300 security deposit for stays of a month or more and a $100 cancellation fee with 30 days' notice.

It is 7 minutes to Mesa del Sol, 14 to Las Barrancas and 14 to Yuma Golf & Country Club.

Foothills and city parks without their own course

  • Caravan Oasis (Foothills): 510 lots in three sizes, with a driving range and putting green. $65 a day ($59 Good Sam), $379.50 a week. Monthly Regular $605, Deluxe $715, Premium $810, plus a $20 flat water, sewer and trash fee and metered electricity at $0.15 per kWh. Packages: three months $1,615 to $2,200, four months $2,200 to $2,970, six months $3,025 to $4,040, starting on the 1st of a month. No park-wide Wi-Fi. Mesa del Sol 6 minutes, Las Barrancas 14.
  • Las Quintas (Foothills): monthly only, $800 member or $850 non-member, dropping to $600 or $650 a month for stays of five months or more. Heated pool, pickleball and fitness center; office closed weekends. Mesa del Sol 6 minutes.
  • Sun Vista (central east Yuma): 1,230 sites, $58 a day, $863 a month, three months $2,546 and five months $4,070, with water, sewer and trash included and electricity extra. Yuma G&CC 10 minutes, Mesa del Sol 12, Desert Hills 15.
  • Del Pueblo (south Yuma): monthly only, $800 member or $900 non-member, falling to $600 or $700 for five months or more. Yuma G&CC 11 minutes, Desert Hills 16, Mesa del Sol 24.

What RV residents actually pay for golf

Living at a resort with a course does not make golf free. Cocopah Bend's green fees are by phone, Fortuna Del Rey's are not published, and the Westwind course is a question mark. So golf is still bought course by course:

  • A Mesa del Sol six-month pass ($3,500 for 2026-27, cart and range included) suits anyone at Caravan Oasis, Las Quintas, Westwind or Fortuna de Oro playing there several times a week.
  • Desert Hills' 10-play cards ($500 walking or $650 with a cart, January to March) suit the city-side parks.
  • Our Yuma golf passes guide has every option, and Yuma golf leagues covers the clubs.

A worked example on the published numbers: four months at Caravan Oasis on a Regular lot ($2,200) plus a Mesa del Sol six-month pass ($3,500) is $5,700 before utilities. Four months at Fortuna de Oro ($3,970) with no pass is $3,970 plus utilities, with nine holes on site and green fees elsewhere extra.

How to choose a base for a golf winter

Use these to shortlist a resort with golf, or a park near the course you will play most:

  • Walk to the first tee: Cocopah Bend (18 holes) or Fortuna de Oro (9 holes).
  • Play the Foothills courses most: Caravan Oasis, Las Quintas, Westwind or Fortuna de Oro, all within 8 minutes of Mesa del Sol.
  • Play the city courses most: Sun Vista, Del Pueblo or Cocopah Bend.
  • Newer, longer rig: Fortuna de Oro, if you meet its age and length rules.
  • Lowest seasonal cost: Caravan Oasis packages, Las Quintas or Del Pueblo long-stay rates.

If an RV is not your plan, see Yuma monthly rentals for snowbirds. Once you have a base, Yuma winter golf explains how the season runs and the snowbird golf schedule for Yuma sets out a weekly rotation from the Foothills or the city. Canadians staying 30 days or more should also read our guide for Canadian snowbirds in Yuma.

Questions golfers ask

Which Yuma RV resorts have a golf course?

Cocopah Bend RV & Golf Resort has its own 18-hole course (par 73, 5,737 yards), and Fortuna de Oro RV Resort has the nine-hole Fortuna Del Rey course with a range. Westwind RV & Golf Resort has a par-3 course whose status is unclear (its page said it was closed for maintenance and reseeding from May 12, 2026 until further notice), so call first. Caravan Oasis has a driving range and putting green but no course.

How much does a month at a Yuma RV resort with golf cost?

On rate cards seen October 2026: Cocopah Bend $705 a month plus metered electricity (card dated Nov 1, 2025), Fortuna de Oro $1,090 a month for a back-in site with electric, sewer and trash billed on top (2026-27), and Westwind $900 a month January to April plus electricity and a $60 monthly utility fee. Rates change and exclude tax.

Can non-residents play golf at Yuma RV resorts?

Cocopah Bend's course is open to the public, by phone booking at 928-343-1663, and it runs men's and ladies' winter golf clubs ($35 dues for the men's clubs). Fortuna Del Rey is listed as public by golf directories, but the resort publishes no visitor policy or green fees and its leagues are for residents only, so call the pro shop at 928-342-4766 first.

Which RV park is closest to Mesa del Sol and Las Barrancas?

Caravan Oasis and Las Quintas are about 6 minutes from Mesa del Sol by road, Westwind about 7 minutes and Fortuna de Oro about 8. Fortuna de Oro is the closest to Las Barrancas, about 11 minutes. These are routed estimates.

Do Yuma RV resorts have age or rig rules?

Several do. Sun Vista requires one resident to be 55 or older and the other at least 45, and Fortuna de Oro requires RVs of at least 22 feet that are fully self-contained and under 10 years old, with exceptions at management's discretion. Third-party listings describe Cocopah Bend and Westwind as 55+ parks.

When should I book a winter RV site in Yuma?

Early. None of the resorts checked publishes how early winter fills, but monthly RV and rental stays in Yuma are often booked a season in advance, and RV resorts fill first in January to March. Fortuna de Oro is offering new guests one month at $495 in January, February or March 2027, with exclusions.

Is the Westwind golf course open?

Status unclear, call first. The resort itself is open and lists a busy winter activity calendar.

Is the Cocopah Bend course open in October?

No, or only partly. The course site says it is open all year except October for overseed, and in 2024 it was closed from Sep 30 to about Oct 27. The 2026 dates were not published, so early arrivals should expect no golf on site for the first weeks.
