Mesquite snowbird golf means a whole season of golf from one base: mild, dry afternoons, frosty mornings and green, overseeded fairways on courses that are mostly within about 11 minutes of downtown. December and January are the quiet, cheaper months; February through April is peak season, when snowbirds, spring breakers and visiting groups fill the tee sheets. For a season-long stay, the things that matter most are booking windows, local rates and a monthly rental.
For a shorter winter trip, the Mesquite winter golf guide covers December and January in more detail, and Canadians should also read Canadian snowbird golf in Mesquite for stay rules and insurance.
All rates below were seen in October 2026. Winter 2026-27 prices were posted at most courses, but most 2027 peak rates were not, so treat spring figures as a guide.
Mesquite winter weather by month
Normals from the nearby Beaver Dam, Arizona station (NOAA 1991-2020), used because Mesquite has no published normals. Mesquite sits slightly lower and may run a degree or so warmer.
| Month | Normal high | Normal low | Rain | Rain days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| November | 71.8F | 40.2F | 0.45 in | 2.9 |
| December | 60.2F | 31.9F | 0.83 in | 4.7 |
| January | 61.7F | 33.0F | 0.88 in | 5.1 |
| February | 66.1F | 35.9F | 1.20 in | 5.6 |
| March | 74.5F | 43.1F | 0.87 in | 5.0 |
| April | 82.3F | 48.0F | 0.50 in | 3.5 |
February is the wettest month and it is still only about 1.2 inches. The bigger factor is cold mornings: with lows near freezing in December and January, the first tee times can be held for frost and the best rounds start mid-morning. Month by month, see golf in Mesquite in January.
How courses run in winter
Winter tee sheets look different from the rest of the year:
- Wolf Creek used split-tee starts last winter, so a frost delay moves everyone back. No twilight in winter.
- Conestoga listed 10 AM shotgun starts on its 2026 rate sheet for Nov 22 to Dec 31, with no twilight.
- CasaBlanca and Palms showed a 10:00 AM block and a 3:06 PM shotgun-start block online in winter (Palms on some days).
- Coyote Springs showed only mid-morning times (about 9:20 to 11:30 AM) for December and January.
If you are used to a 7 AM tee time back home, plan on 10 AM here from December to early February.
Mesquite golf courses for a snowbird season
| Course | Winter rate seen (2026-27) | Public booking window | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wolf Creek | Not posted; $200-$230 last winter | Not published | Showpiece; 5+ hour rounds |
| Conestoga | $145-$220 published; $287 live on some dates | 55 days | Inside Sun City Mesquite |
| Falcon Ridge | $145 mornings; $95, $80, $72.50 later | 90 days | New back-nine greens 2026 |
| Oasis Palmer | $155 mornings, $105 from noon | 60 days (180 with package) | The friendlier Oasis course |
| Oasis Canyons | $155 mornings, $105 from noon | 60 days (180 with package) | The harder Oasis course |
| CasaBlanca | $130 ($140 on Dec 1) | 120 days | Flat, carts reach most of the course |
| Palms | $109 | 120 days | In Littlefield, Arizona |
| Coyote Willows | $50 for 9 (fall); winter not loaded | 30 days | Quick nine by the river |
| Coyote Springs | $119 Mon-Thu, $130 Fri/Sun, $137 Sat | About 90 days loaded | About an hour southwest |
For a long stay, the booking windows matter more than the rates. You cannot lock in a whole season at once: Conestoga opens public times 55 days out, Oasis 60 and Falcon Ridge 90. Set a reminder for each course and book on the day your dates open, especially for February and March. Conestoga's live sheet showed many November and December 2026 days with no open public times when checked in late October; it has a Noteefy waitlist.
The winter value window
December and January are the best value months for Mesquite golf. Last season, Wolf Creek was $200 from Dec 8, 2025 to Jan 14, 2026, against $390 to $420 at the mid-March to early-April peak. CasaBlanca drops to $130 from Nov 18, 2026, and Coyote Springs' flat $119 weekday rate from Nov 30 compares with $123 to $214 in the fall.
Holiday weeks and Las Vegas events (the National Finals Rodeo Dec 3 to 12, 2026 and CES Jan 6 to 9, 2027) push up Las Vegas prices but barely touch Mesquite tee sheets. The Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival at CasaBlanca Resort is a late-January weekend (Jan 23 to 25 in 2026; 2027 dates not yet published) and gives resorts a modest bump.
Peak season: February to April
Snowbird season builds in February and the courses switch to peak rates:
- Conestoga: $205 to $300 published from Feb 10 to Apr 30, 2026. 2027 rates not posted.
- Wolf Creek: $360 to $420 from Feb 27 to May 5, 2026. 2027 rates not posted.
- Oasis: $180 to $190 mornings in February 2027, then $210 before 2 PM and $140 after for March and April 2027 dates.
- Falcon Ridge: $170 mornings in February 2027, then $195 on most March and April dates.
March is the tightest month of the year. Washington County, Utah schools are on spring break Mar 8 to 12, 2027, Easter is Mar 28, 2027, and March college basketball fills Las Vegas hotels. The St. George Parade of Homes (Feb 13 to 22 in 2026) mostly affects St. George lodging. Our Mesquite golf in March guide has more.
Local rates: who actually qualifies
Snowbirds often ask about resident rates. Here is what is published:
- Oasis: verified Clark County, Nevada and Washington County, Utah residents, booked within 30 days with ID checked at the shop. Masters Villas guests also qualify. The amount is not published (702-346-7820).
- Conestoga: resident rates of $105 to $115 and passes are for Sun City Mesquite residents, who also get a 58-day booking window.
- Falcon Ridge: a resident discount applied at check-in for bookings within 30 days. The amount is not published.
- Coyote Springs: the Coyote Club costs $159 for 12 months for Nevada and Washington County residents.
- Coyote Willows: an annual golf pass with reduced rates; ask the shop for the price.
None of these say a winter rental makes you a resident, so ask each course what proof it accepts before you count on a rate. The Mesquite golf condo rentals guide compares villas, condos and houses.
Where snowbirds stay
- Masters Villas: two-bedroom villas next to the Oasis range with a full kitchen, garage and golf cart. Non-owner Bonus Time is $200 a night, and stays shorter than a week open only 90 days out, with owners getting first pick.
- Mesquite Vacation Rentals: condos and homes in golf communities including Wolf Creek, with full kitchens. The complimentary activities program applies to stays under 27 days. Under 30 days before arrival, cancellations are not refunded.
- Highland Estates Resort: condo-style units with kitchens and two pools near Oasis. Details are thin; call first.

Clock and travel notes for a long stay
Mesquite is on Pacific Time. Across the state line, Littlefield and Beaver Dam, Arizona keep Arizona time, which is one hour ahead of Mesquite from Nov 1, 2026 to Mar 14, 2027, exactly the snowbird season. Palms is in Littlefield, so confirm which clock its tee sheet uses when you book. St. George is always one hour ahead. Read Mesquite time zone for golfers before your first Arizona tee time.
Most snowbirds drive in, but if you fly, Las Vegas (LAS) is about 91 miles away and St. George (SGU) about 54 minutes. For more on the cool months, see Mesquite winter golf and senior golf in Mesquite.
