Signature holes

  • #4 'The Fence Hole' — 394-yd par 4 with only about 250 yds of fairway before it drops 25 ft off a cliff and picks up again below. Lay up for a downhill approach or try to carry the drop. The name comes from the wooden fence on top of the cliff.
  • #10 — green set in front of a tumbling waterfall with a mountain backdrop; Golf Digest calls it one of Mesquite's most memorable holes.

Local knowledge

  • Time zone: Mesquite is on Pacific time, one hour BEHIND St. George (Mountain) all year. Tee times are Mesquite local time, so a 9:00 tee time is 10:00 on a St. George clock.
  • Public prices are dynamic. The published spring and fall band is $205–$300, but the live sheet showed $315–$318 on some late-October 2026 days. Book early in the 55-day window, and on weekdays, to land at the low end.
  • Open public times were scarce on the live sheet in late October 2026, with many days in November and December showing nothing. Book as soon as your date opens, or use the Noteefy waitlist.
  • Summer (Jun 22–Aug 30) drops to $80–$120, the best value in Mesquite for a top-20 Nevada course, if you go off at first light.
  • The overseed closure takes all of September (Aug 30–Sep 30 in 2026), so avoid planning September trips around this course.
  • Older reviews say the carts had no GPS and the front nine has several blind shots. Bring a rangefinder or download the course app.
  • Fairways matter more than distance here. Play one set of tees forward the first time around.
  • Cancel within 48 hours or the card on file is charged. No outside food or drink is allowed.
  • Check 1880 Grille hours before planning lunch; one reviewer found the kitchen closed at 1 PM on a Saturday. The restaurant was renovated in 2025.
