Drive lines from downtown Mesquite: A 3-Day Mesquite Golf Itinerary with Real Drive Times and Fees

A good 3-day Mesquite golf itinerary is one round a day from a central hotel: an afternoon round at Oasis the day you drive in from Las Vegas, Wolf Creek on day two, and Conestoga on the morning you leave. Every course is within about 10 minutes of the hotel, so the only long drive is the 90 miles each way to the airport.

Drive times below are free-flow road estimates from Eureka Casino Resort, not live traffic. Fees were seen in October 2026 for late-October and November dates, and they change by day and time. Remember that Mesquite runs on Pacific Time, the same clock as Las Vegas.

The 3-day Mesquite golf itinerary at a glance

Day Round Drive from Eureka (est.) Fee seen Oct 2026

2Wolf Creek, morning6 min$360 weekday, $390 weekend
3, departureConestoga, morning10 min$205-$300 published, $315-$318 live on some days

That is 54 holes of golf on three of the best-known Mesquite golf courses, and none of the drives between hotel and first tee is over 10 minutes.

Day 1: drive in, afternoon round at Oasis

Most groups fly into Las Vegas Harry Reid International (LAS). The free-flow estimate from the LAS Rent-A-Car Center to Mesquite is about 97 minutes and 91 miles, and the slow part is getting through Las Vegas on I-15 north. After the north valley it is open desert, with few services, so start with fuel and water. If you are not renting a car, the Salt Lake Express shuttle runs LAS to Mesquite in 1 hour 25 minutes with stops at CasaBlanca and Virgin River ($33 to $41 one way, 10 departures on a sample weekday in October 2026). See Las Vegas to Mesquite golf for the details.

Land in the morning and you can be on the Oasis Palmer course in the afternoon. In October 2026 the online rate was $190 in the morning and $130 from about 1 PM (from noon in November). The Palmer is the friendlier of the two Oasis courses: 6,442 yards from the Black tees (71.5/138), par 71, and a recommended pace of 4 hours 30 minutes. It is an Arnold Palmer target course, so expect canyon carries and red-staked environmental areas on #5, #6, #7 and #8 that you cannot play out of. Take the drop and move on.

Two things to know: the Oasis dress code bans denim on the course and the range, and the range closes about four hours before sunset on Wednesdays and Sundays. If you want to warm up on a Wednesday or Sunday afternoon, get there early. Buckets are $5, $8 or $12.

If the Palmer is full, the sister Oasis Canyons course shares the clubhouse and the same prices. It is rated harder (6,317 yards, 71.0/137 from the Blue tees), so it is a tougher choice for a first round off a flight.

Day 2: Wolf Creek, the reason you came

Wolf Creek is the round most people build a Mesquite golf trip around. It is ranked #59 on Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Public Courses (2025-26) and #5 in Nevada, with ridge-top tees and tee-to-green drops of up to about 100 feet. It is 6 minutes from Eureka. If you are unsure whether it earns the price, the Wolf Creek golf course review goes through tees, pace and value.

Book a morning time. The live booking engine showed $360 on weekdays and $390 on weekends for mornings in late October 2026, and $310 from about 1:10 PM. The club says rounds will most likely exceed five hours, and twilight groups often do not finish, so an afternoon time is a gamble here. That five-hour pace is also why this plan keeps Wolf Creek as the only round of the day.

Pick tees honestly:

Wolf Creek tee Yards Men's rating/slope Women's rating/slope
Challenger6,78574.4 / 147-
Champions6,15371.1 / 140-
Masters5,68369.0 / 13374.5 / 148
Signature4,80964.6 / 11669.3 / 133
Classics4,00661.4 / 10965.5 / 113

The Challenger back nine slopes 155. Most mid-handicaps will enjoy the Champions or Masters tees far more. Wolf Creek takes foursomes only (no fivesomes), cancellations need more than 48 hours' notice, and the dress code rules out denim, t-shirts and tank tops. The Wolf Creek course guide has the hole-by-hole detail.

After the round, the rest of the day is yours. If you have legs left and want a few more holes, see 36 holes a day in Mesquite for the realistic options, but most groups are happy to stop after Wolf Creek.

Day 3: Conestoga, then the airport

Conestoga is a Gary Panks design inside Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite, ranked #20 in Nevada by Golf Digest, and 10 minutes from Eureka. The front nine is the dramatic side, with #4 "The Fence Hole," a par 4 where the fairway drops 25 feet off a cliff about 250 yards out. The back plays more traditionally. With one more day, the 4 day Mesquite golf trip adds a fourth round, and a Friday-to-Sunday version is in the Mesquite golf weekend plan.

It is long from the tips (7,171 yards, 74.7/138), and the director of golf advises moving up a set of tees for a first round. The Silver tees (6,349 yards, 70.5/128) or Silver/Copper combo (6,050, 69.3/123) suit most visitors.

Public prices are dynamic. The published spring and fall band was $205 to $300 for 2026, but the live sheet showed $315 to $318 on some late-October 2026 days and $287 for Nov 4 to 10. The cart and range balls are included. Public golfers can book 55 days out, and open times were scarce on the live sheet in late October, so book this one first.

Take the earliest time you can get. Allow about 97 minutes from Mesquite to the LAS rental-car return, plus the return shuttle and security, and more on a Friday or Sunday afternoon, when I-15 between Mesquite and Las Vegas carries heavy traffic.

Where to stay for three days

For three nights, any of the central hotels works. The table shows estimated road minutes to each course in this plan.

Base Oasis Wolf Creek Conestoga Falcon Ridge Palms
Eureka Casino Resort461089
Virgin River Casino & Lodge35967
Best Western Mesquite Inn45976
Masters Villas24889
Hampton Inn & Suites9109313

Eureka has a golf desk that books Wolf Creek and the other Mesquite courses and charges a $12.99 nightly resort fee. Virgin River had the cheapest rooms seen, from $46.80 midweek with no resort fee, but the rooms are older and the casino is smoky. The Hampton is the smoke-free, casino-free option with free breakfast and Falcon Ridge across the street. Our Mesquite golf hotels guide compares them all.

Swap-ins and other versions

Lower-cost version. Replace Wolf Creek with Palms ($134 before about noon to 1 PM in fall 2026, $109 from about Nov 19) and Conestoga with Falcon Ridge ($203.04 mornings Oct 24-28, $185 Nov 3-18). Palms has a palm-lined resort front nine and a canyon back nine; it sits just across the state line in Littlefield, Arizona.

Stay-and-play version. Stay at CasaBlanca and play its on-site course, CasaBlanca Golf Club ($160 mornings in fall 2026, $130 from Nov 18), plus Palms. Mesquite Gaming owns both courses and advertises 20% off room-and-golf packages through its coordinator (877-438-2929), with no package prices posted. CasaBlanca and Palms showed no public times Nov 3 to 7, 2026, around the Nevada Open and a resort tournament.

Winter version. December and January bring frosty mornings (normal lows about 32-33F), so the first tee times can be held. Wolf Creek used split-tee starts last winter at $200 to $230; its 2026-27 winter rates were not posted when checked. Oasis showed $155 mornings and $105 from noon for December and January dates.

When to go

March is the best weather and the busiest tee sheets (normal high 74.5F), and October and November are close behind once the courses reopen on fresh rye. Avoid September: the courses close in turn for overseed, and in 2026 the closures ran from Aug 30 at Wolf Creek to Oct 6 at Oasis Palmer. Our best time to golf in Mesquite guide covers every month.

If you have more time, the 5-day Mesquite golf itinerary adds Oasis Canyons and Coyote Springs, with Palms and Falcon Ridge as swap-ins.

Questions golfers ask

How many rounds can you play on a 3-day golf trip to Mesquite?

Three is comfortable: an afternoon round the day you drive in from Las Vegas, a full morning at Wolf Creek, and a morning round on the last day before the drive back. Every Mesquite course in this plan is within about 10 minutes of a central hotel, so you spend very little time in the car.

Where should I stay for a 3-day Mesquite golf trip?

A central base keeps every drive short. From Eureka Casino Resort the estimated drives are 4 minutes to Oasis, 6 to Wolf Creek, 8 to Falcon Ridge, 9 to Palms and 10 to Conestoga. Virgin River Casino & Lodge, Best Western Mesquite Inn and Holiday Inn Resort Mesquite are all within about three minutes of those times.

How much do green fees cost for 3 days of golf in Mesquite?

With rates seen in October 2026 for late-October dates, Oasis after about 1 PM ($130), a Wolf Creek weekday morning ($360) and Conestoga ($205 to $318 depending on the day) come to roughly $695 to $808 per player. Rates change by season, day and time, and 2027 peak rates were mostly not posted yet.

Can I do a 3-day Mesquite golf trip in September?

Not well. Most Mesquite courses close in turn for overseed from late August into early October, and in 2026 Wolf Creek was closed Aug 30 to Oct 2, Conestoga Aug 30 to Sep 30 and Oasis Palmer Sep 14 to Oct 6. Plan the trip for October through May instead, or look at Coyote Springs, which does not close for overseed.

How far is Mesquite from the Las Vegas airport?

About 91 miles of mostly I-15. A free-flow road estimate from the LAS Rent-A-Car Center is about 97 minutes, and the Salt Lake Express shuttle takes 1 hour 25 minutes to stops at CasaBlanca and Virgin River (adult one-way $33 to $41, seen October 2026).
