Local knowledge
- Time zone: Mesquite is on Pacific time, one hour BEHIND St. George (Mountain) all year. Tee times are Mesquite local time, so a 9:00 tee time is 10:00 on a St. George clock.
- Big local deal: Oasis resident rates apply to verified residents of Clark County NV AND Washington County UT, so St. George locals qualify (bring ID; book within 30 days; verified at check-in). Visitors pay rack and can book 60 days out (180 days with a package).
- Range buckets are cheap ($5 / $8 / $12), but the range closes about 4 hours before sunset on Wednesdays and Sundays.
- Rental sets are Srixon/Cleveland, $75/day ($50 twilight) and limited, so call ahead.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before your round or the full green fee is charged; the shop may pair singles and twosomes into foursomes.
- Strict dress code: no denim anywhere, including the range.
- Environmentally sensitive areas (red stakes) on #5, #6, #7 and #8 are no-entry, so you can't retrieve balls there. Take your drop and move on.
- Recommended pace is 4:30; the Palmer is the friendlier of the two Oasis courses (the Canyons is rated harder).
