The best time to golf in Mesquite is October to November and February to April, when normal highs run about 66 to 86F, it barely rains, and the courses are on fresh overseeded rye. March is the peak for weather and price. For the lowest rates, go in summer and tee off at dawn, or in December and January when it's cool and quiet. Avoid September, when most courses close in turn for overseed.
Here's the year in detail.

The best time to golf in Mesquite, by season
Peak: February to April
Highs climb from about 66F to 82F with cool mornings and almost no rain, and the turf is at its best. It's snowbird season, spring breaks and Easter (Mar 28, 2027) bring families, and March college basketball fills Las Vegas hotels. Courses charge their top rates:
- Wolf Creek: its 2026 peak ran Feb 27 to May 5, at $360 to $420. 2027 rates weren't posted when we checked in October 2026.
- Conestoga: $205 to $300 published for Feb 10 to Apr 30, 2026, and dynamic prices can run higher.
- Oasis Palmer and Oasis Canyons: $210 before 2 PM for March and April 2027 dates.
- Falcon Ridge: $195 on most March and April 2027 mornings.
March is the tightest month. Book weekend tee times and rooms as soon as each course opens its window.
Late spring: May
Low 90s by afternoon and nearly rainless. Rates fall in stages: Wolf Creek went from $310 to $275 to $225 through May 2026, and Falcon Ridge listed $145 for May 2027. This is a good-value window if you play early. Mesquite Days (late April to early May) and Memorial Day weekend (May 31, 2027) are the busy weekends.
Summer: June to August
Highs of about 104 to 109F and warm nights, with lows of about 65 to 74F, so the course never cools off. In exchange you get the cheapest golf of the year and open tee sheets:
- Conestoga: $80 to $120 from Jun 22 to Aug 30, 2026.
- Oasis: $120 for summer 2027 dates, with online times only to about 12:30 PM.
- Falcon Ridge: $110 before noon in early June 2027.
Book the first tee time, carry far more water than you think, and finish before the early-afternoon peak. July and August bring a few monsoon thunderstorm days with lightning and gusty wind. Courses also close for about a week of summer aeration (in 2026, Oasis Canyons Jun 15-22 and Oasis Palmer Jun 29-Jul 6). Read Mesquite summer golf.
September: overseed
Mesquite's courses are bermudagrass, which goes brown in winter, so each one overseeds with rye in the fall and closes for two to five weeks. They stagger the dates, but not enough:
| Course | Closed |
|---|---|
| Wolf Creek | Aug 30 - Oct 2, 2026 |
| Conestoga | Aug 30 - Sep 30, 2026 (other club pages say Sep 1-30) |
| Oasis Canyons | Sep 2 - 30, 2026 |
| Falcon Ridge | Sep 7 - Oct 3, 2026 |
| CasaBlanca | Sep 8 - 26, 2025, then cart-path-only to Oct 9 (2026 not published) |
| Palms | Sep 11 - Oct 2, 2025 (2026 unclear) |
| Oasis Palmer | Sep 14 - Oct 6, 2026 |
On those dates, roughly Sep 14 to 26 had no 18-hole course in Mesquite open. The 9-hole Coyote Willows may stay open (one listing says so). The real answer is Coyote Springs, about an hour away, which runs rye and bentgrass all year and never closes for overseed. See Mesquite golf overseed in September.
Fall peak: October and November
Mid-80s falling to low 70s, dry, on fresh rye. Courses reopen from about Sep 27 (CasaBlanca, on 2025 dates) to Oct 7 (Oasis Palmer), and some can be cart-path-only for several days after. Fall prices are close to spring:
- Wolf Creek: $360 weekday and $390 weekend mornings for late October 2026.
- Oasis: $190 mornings, $130 afternoons.
- CasaBlanca: $160, falling to $130 from Nov 18, 2026.
- Palms: $134, falling to $109 from about Nov 19.
Early October also brings the Huntsman World Senior Games to St. George (Oct 5-17, 2026), which fills that city's hotels and spills into Mesquite. Early November has the Nevada Open at CasaBlanca and the Palms (Nov 3-5, 2026), followed by the II-Man Fall tournament, so their online tee sheets showed no public times from Nov 3 to 7, 2026. Our Mesquite golf in October post has more.
Winter: December and January
Highs of about 60 to 62F and frosty mornings, with lows of about 32 to 33F, so the first tee times can be delayed. The best rounds start mid-morning, and some courses run winter tee sheets in blocks: CasaBlanca and the Palms showed a 10:00 AM block and a 3:06 PM block online. It's quieter and cheaper:
- Wolf Creek's winter rate was $200 to $230 from Dec 8, 2025 to Feb 4, 2026. The 2026-27 winter rates weren't posted as of October 2026.
- Oasis: $155 mornings and $105 from noon.
- Falcon Ridge: $145 mornings.
- Coyote Springs: a flat $119 Mon-Thu.
Mesquite runs several degrees warmer than St. George in winter. Big Las Vegas weeks like the National Finals Rodeo (Dec 3-12, 2026) and CES (Jan 6-9, 2027) push up Vegas prices but barely touch Mesquite tee sheets. See Mesquite winter golf.

Clocks change in November
Mesquite is on Pacific Time and Las Vegas is too. From Nov 1, 2026 to Mar 14, 2027, the Arizona side of the line (the Palms in Littlefield, and Beaver Dam) is one hour ahead of Mesquite, because Arizona doesn't use daylight saving. The rest of the year, they match. St. George is always one hour ahead. If your winter trip includes the Palms, ask which clock your tee time is on.
Our pick for the best time to golf in Mesquite
If you can choose any week, take early to mid November: fall rye, highs around 72F, rates below spring and the tee sheets less crowded than March. Steer clear of Nevada Open week, and book the Wolf Creek and Conestoga times first. If price matters more than comfort, come in summer and play at sunrise. Questions golfers ask
What is the best month to golf in Mesquite, Nevada?
March has the best weather (normal highs about 74.5F, lows about 43F) but the highest prices and busiest tee sheets. November is the best all-round pick: highs near 72F, about three rain days, fresh rye turf and fewer crowds than March.
When is golf cheapest in Mesquite?
June to August. Conestoga's 2026 public rate dropped to $80 to $120 from Jun 22 to Aug 30, and Oasis listed $120 for summer 2027 dates. The catch is heat: normal highs are about 104 to 109F, so you play at dawn.
Are Mesquite golf courses open in September?
Most close in turn for overseed between late August and early October. Using 2026 dates (2025 for CasaBlanca and the Palms), roughly Sep 14 to 26 had no 18-hole course in Mesquite open. Coyote Springs, about an hour away, doesn't overseed.
Is Mesquite too cold for golf in winter?
No. December and January normal highs are about 60 to 62F, though lows near 32 to 33F mean frost can delay the first tee times. Winter is quieter and cheaper; Wolf Creek's rate was $200 to $230 from Dec 8, 2025 to Feb 4, 2026.
Does it rain much in Mesquite?
Very little. February is the wettest month at about 1.2 inches and 5.6 rain days. May and June are the driest, and June averages about one rain day. July and August bring a few monsoon thunderstorms.
When are Mesquite golf rates highest?
February to April, and again in October and November. Wolf Creek's 2026 spring peak reached $420 on weekends, Conestoga published $205 to $300 for Feb 10 to Apr 30 and Oct 1 to Nov 21, 2026, and Oasis listed $210 before 2 PM for March and April 2027.
