Stand-by replays usually go out around 1:30-2:00 PM, and guaranteed replays must be booked by phone or email. Juniors 15 and under pay $40 with a paying adult.
LocalsNevada resident (and Washington County, UT) rates are dynamic and not published; they are booked on the separate resident ezLinks site. Coyote Club costs $159 for 12 months and is open to Nevada and Washington County residents. It includes one free round, up to 22% off the dynamic resident rate, five guest passes at the member rate, replays up to 20% off and 10% off merchandise. Through the mobile app, every 6th round is free (app rounds Mon-Thu after 11 AM).

Visitor prices read from the live GolfNow tee sheet (facility 6204) on 2026-10-23, for Oct 24, 2026 to Jan 21, 2027. The club's own ezLinks engine returned errors and could not be read, so direct-booking prices may differ. Green fee includes cart and range balls.

Before you book

AccessDaily-fee public course with no hotel or homes on site. Anyone can book. Nevada residents, Washington County (Utah) residents and Coyote Club members get resident pricing through a separate booking site. Resident rates require a valid Nevada driver's license or state ID, or a Washington County, UT driver's license. Bills and leases are not accepted.
Book aheadNo public booking window is published. On 2026-10-23 GolfNow had times loaded through Jan 21, 2027 (about 90 days out), with nothing loaded after that. The club's ezLinks site allows date searches up to 365 days out, but its tee-sheet results could not be read. The FAQ lists booking 14 days ahead as a Coyote Club member benefit. Groups of 16 or more can book up to a year ahead. A credit card is required, and you must cancel 48 hours ahead (call 725-216-2989) or pay the no-show charge.
Overseed / closuresNo fall overseed closure. The official tee-times page says 'No Overseeding at Coyote Springs' and 'No Fall Greens Aerification', because the course is ryegrass and bentgrass all year. Greens were aerified May 12-13, 2026, followed by about two weeks of discounted rates. No 2027 dates were posted as of 2026-10-23. No cart-path-only policy is published.

StyleDesert valley course on rolling ground above the Pahranagat Wash, with mountain views. Fairways are wide, water is in play on 11 holes, and the bunkering is heavy, including the 'Bear Tracks' bunkers on #11. The greens are large, sloping and fast. Golf Digest notes uneven fairway lies and frequent valley wind.
CartsCart is included in the green fee. Carts have side coolers stocked with ice and water. No walking policy or GPS is published. Fivesomes are not allowed (book two times, 3 and 2). Non-golfers can ride along for $35.
PracticeA large practice facility that the club lists as 19 to 22 acres, with 13 target greens, a short-game area for pitching, chipping and bunker play, and a 10,000 sq ft putting green. Range balls are included with a round, and unlimited balls cost $15 without a round.
Dress codeCollared golf shirts and golf shoes. No jeans, T-shirts or tank tops (official FAQ).
PaceAbout 4 hours 30 minutes on average (official FAQ). Some 2026 GolfPass reviews report rounds over 5 hours, while others from October 2026 call the pace good.

Signature holes

  • #2 'Deuces Wild' (par 5, 518 from Blue) plays uphill. Few reach it in two, bunkers guard the second landing area, and the club compares the green to Augusta's.
  • #3 'The Flop' (par 3, 185 from Blue) is a solid iron carry over water to a subtle green.
  • #4 '4th Street' (par 4, 420 from Blue) is the course guide's signature view. A miss left off the tee is punished.
  • #11 'YO!' (par 5, 542 from Blue) is reachable for long hitters. Everyone else has to work around the 'Bear Tracks' bunkers to a small green.

Local knowledge

  • Time zone: Coyote Springs is on Pacific time, the same as Mesquite. A Mesquite tee time needs no clock adjustment.
  • This is the only course in the Mesquite area that does not close for fall overseed. In September, when most Mesquite courses are shut, Coyote Springs stays open on its year-round rye and bentgrass.
  • It is remote, and the club advises against relying on Uber or Lyft, since rides back to town are hard to get. Drive yourself and fill the tank in Mesquite. NV-168 passes only small Moapa Valley settlements.
  • No outside coolers are allowed, but carts come with ice and water. Mitch's serves breakfast 7-11 AM, and a beverage cart runs, so you can eat on site.
  • Wind: Golf Digest says wind is often present in the valley, and one May 2026 review reported 36-45 mph gusts. Morning times are usually calmer.
  • The greens are the defense. Leave approaches below the hole, since reviewers call the putts fast and undulating and some pins sit on slopes.
  • Play the Blue (6,807, 72.8/144) or White (6,215, 70.6/139) tees unless you are a low single-digit player. The Black tees rate 76.8/149.
  • Book a morning round and add the $50 replay if you want 36 holes. Summer replays (May 26-Aug 31) must be off the course by 5 PM.
  • Online rates in December and January were a flat $119 on weekdays when checked, well below fall prices of about $140-$214.
  • Allow about 4.5 hours (the club's own average). Some 2026 reviewers reported 5+ hour rounds on busy days.
  • Nevada residents and Washington County, UT residents need to show ID at check-in to get resident rates. A utility bill will not work.

Recognition

  • Golf Digest Best in State (Nevada) #11 (list dated May 29, 2025; previous rank 11)
  • Golf Digest Best New Public Courses #2 (2008, behind Chambers Bay); in Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Public Courses in 2011
  • LINKS Magazine Nevada top 10, #9 (date not shown)
  • The course says Golfweek and Golf Magazine have listed it as a top place you can play (no year or rank given; no current Golfweek list position found)
