Mesquite golf in October means the courses coming back from overseed on fresh ryegrass, with highs in the mid-80s. On the stored dates (2026, with 2025 for CasaBlanca and the Palms), every 18-hole course in town reopened between Sep 27 and Oct 7, so from the second week of October the full Mesquite golf course list is open, though the first few days at each course can be cart-path-only. Fall rates start this month and run close to spring levels.
This guide covers when each course came back, what October 2026 rates looked like, the weather, and the St. George events that make early October busier than you might expect.
When Mesquite courses reopen in October
Here are the stored reopening dates. Most are 2026; CasaBlanca and Palms are 2025, because neither published 2026 overseed dates.
| Course | Reopened | After reopening |
|---|---|---|
| CasaBlanca | Sep 27 (2025) | Cart-path-only Sep 27 - Oct 9, 2025 |
| Conestoga | Oct 1, 2026 | - |
| Oasis Canyons | Oct 1, 2026 | Golf Zoo listed cart-path-only Sep 30 - Oct 3 |
| Wolf Creek | after Oct 2, 2026 | Some holes may be cart-path-only in October |
| Palms | after Oct 2 (2025) | 2026 dates not published |
| Falcon Ridge | about Oct 4, 2026 | New back-nine greens in 2026 |
| Oasis Palmer | Oct 7, 2026 | Cart-path-only may last 3 - 7 days |
| Coyote Springs | never closed | Does not overseed |
| Coyote Willows (9 holes) | no closure published | - |
The general rule from the overseed notes: courses often reopen cart-path-only for three to seven days while the new rye establishes. That is a few days of walking to your ball from the path, not a reason to avoid early October. Just ask about cart rules when you book.
If you are planning for October next year, remember that every course resets its dates. The only 2027 overseed dates found as of October 23, 2026 were Falcon Ridge's (Sep 7 to Oct 2, via Golf Zoo). The September overseed guide explains the full cycle.
Course notes for October 2026
A few things are specific to this fall:
- Wolf Creek finished a multimillion-dollar remodel of its clubhouse, Terrace restaurant and pro shop in early October 2026; the course layout did not change. The Terrace serves breakfast and lunch daily, with dinner Friday and Saturday from October to June (4 to 8 PM). Wolf Creek also planned needle-tining of its greens in October and November 2026, dates to be announced. See the Wolf Creek course guide.
- Falcon Ridge replaced the greens on holes 10 to 18 over summer 2026. Expect firm, young surfaces in their first season.
- CasaBlanca has resort golf events on its fall calendar, including a Spooktacular on Oct 25, 2026, so check the tee sheet for that date.

These are NOAA normals for Beaver Dam, Arizona, the nearest station with full records, about 8 miles from Mesquite. Early October can still be warm, but nights are mild and the trend runs cooler through the month toward November's low 70s. See the Mesquite golf weather by month table for the year.
October green fees, seen October 23, 2026
Fall peak rates begin in October. These were the morning and afternoon prices on each course's booking engine for late October 2026. Some courses price dynamically, so the same tee time can cost more on a busy day.
| Course | Morning | Afternoon / twilight |
|---|---|---|
| Wolf Creek | $360 weekday, $390 weekend (Oct 24 - 26) | $310 from about 1:10 - 1:30 PM |
| Conestoga | $315 - $318 live (Oct 25 - Nov 2); $205 - $300 published | $145 - $203 from about 2 PM |
| Falcon Ridge | $203.04 to about 12:50 PM (Oct 24 - 28) | $125 from about 1:30 PM, $110 from 2:40, $92.50 from 3:40 |
| Oasis Palmer and Canyons | $190 before about 1 PM | $130 after |
| CasaBlanca | $160 before about noon to 1 PM ($180 Sat Oct 24) | $100 from 1 PM |
| Palms | $134 | $95 from about noon to 1 PM ($105 Sat Oct 24) |
| Coyote Springs | $123 - $214 with cart (late Oct - Nov 29, GolfNow) | No twilight shown |
| Coyote Willows | $50 for 9 holes | Same price all day |
A few notes on reading that table:
- Conestoga's live prices ran above its own published band on some late-October days. Book early in its 55-day window and on weekdays to land at the low end.
- Falcon Ridge's twilight tiers get cheap. Oct 31 showed $66.66 from 2:30 PM. Finishing 18 is not guaranteed that late.
- Wolf Creek's twilight is still a full rate, and with a five-hour-plus pace you may not finish.
- CasaBlanca and Palms showed an "MG Pass" rate ($75 before 1 PM at CasaBlanca, $56.82 at Palms) on dates through Oct 30. How to buy that pass and what it costs are not published online.
- The Palms offered a 9-hole early-morning rate of $56.82 on some fall days.

Events: St. George fills up in early October
October in Mesquite itself is calm, but St. George, about 40 to 45 minutes up I-15, hosts several big events that push visitors and prices down the road:
- St. George Marathon: first Saturday of October (Oct 3, 2026), with 10,000+ entrants.
- PGA TOUR Bank of Utah Championship at Black Desert in Ivins: Oct 1 - 4, 2026.
- Huntsman World Senior Games: two weeks, Oct 5 - 17 in 2026. About 12,000 athletes age 50 and up took part in 2025, and golf is one of the sports.
These mainly fill St. George lodging, with spillover to Mesquite hotels and busier Mesquite tee sheets in early to mid October. 2027 dates for all three were not yet published. If you are combining both towns, see the St. George map and the St. George vs Mesquite golf comparison.
Clocks change at the end of October
Daylight saving time ends Nov 1, 2026. Until then, Mesquite and the Arizona side of the line (including the Palms in Littlefield) show the same time. From Nov 1, Arizona is one hour ahead of Mesquite until Mar 14, 2027. St. George is one hour ahead of Mesquite all year. A late-October trip that runs into November crosses that change, so confirm which clock any Palms tee time uses. For the following month, see golf in Mesquite in November.
Planning a Mesquite golf trip in October
- First week: Conestoga, Canyons and Wolf Creek are back; Palmer is still closed until Oct 7. Ask about cart-path rules everywhere. St. George events tighten hotels.
- Second week onward: everything is open. This is the start of one of the best stretches of the year for Mesquite golf.
- Late October into November: fall peak rates hold. Conestoga's 2026 peak ran Oct 1 to Nov 21, and Oasis listed $190 mornings through Nov 28. CasaBlanca dropped to $130 from Nov 18 and the Palms to $109 from about Nov 19.
- Early November: the Nevada Open and a resort tournament fill CasaBlanca and Palms; neither showed public online times from Nov 3 to 7, 2026.
