A Mesquite golf weekend works best as three rounds from Friday to Sunday: an afternoon round after the drive on Friday, Wolf Creek on Saturday morning, and a Sunday round before heading home. Weekends cost more: Wolf Creek was $390 Friday to Sunday against $360 midweek, and casino rooms cost far more on Friday and Saturday nights (seen October 2026).

Friday: drive up and play the afternoon
On a Friday afternoon in October 2026, Google Maps gave 1 hr 23 min from the center Strip to Mesquite, including a 9-minute slowdown on I-15 N. Friday afternoons are among the heaviest times on that road, so leave by late morning if you can and go straight to the course. Hotel check-in at the casino resorts is 4:00 PM.
The two good Friday rounds:
- Oasis Palmer: the Arnold Palmer course, $190 mornings and $130 after about 1 PM in October 2026 (noon in November). Recommended pace 4 hr 30 min.
- Falcon Ridge: its afternoon rate falls in steps, the cheapest at $92.50 from about 3:40 PM in October. Finishing is not guaranteed on twilight times.

Saturday: Wolf Creek
The reason for the weekend. Golf Digest ranks it #59 on America's 100 Greatest Public Courses (2025-26), and it plays from tees on ridges with drops of nearly 100 feet. The weekend premium is real ($390 against $360 in late October 2026; $420 against $390 on 2026 spring weekends from Mar 13 to Apr 7), but most groups only play it once, so make it the morning round. Saturday dinner: Gregory's Mesquite Grill at Eureka is open Wednesday to Sunday, 4 to 9 PM, and has a dress code (no hats, tank tops, flip-flops or team apparel). Katherine's Steakhouse at CasaBlanca recommends reservations.
Sunday: one more round, then home
Hotel check-out is 11:00 AM at the casino resorts, so check out first or ask about late check-out. Three Sunday options:
- Oasis Canyons: the harder Oasis course, same $190 morning rate.
- CasaBlanca: flat and on the resort property if you stay there; $160 in fall 2026 and $130 from Nov 18.
- Coyote Springs on the way home: about an hour southwest of Mesquite and 56 minutes from the Strip by Google Maps. Winter Sundays were $130, between the $119 weekday and $137 Saturday rates. It is the one 18-hole course in the area that does not close for fall overseed.
Sunday afternoon brings the other traffic peak on I-15 back to Las Vegas, so a morning round and an early-afternoon drive is the comfortable version.

CasaBlanca's figures appear to include its $12.99 nightly resort fee; Virgin River has no resort fee. Friday Nov 6, 2026 falls in the Nevada Open week. For Eureka Casino Resort, only Kayak averages were available: about $88 on Sunday nights against $158 on Thursdays.

When Mesquite weekends are busiest
- March: the busiest month of the year, with Washington County spring break (Mar 8 to 12, 2027), Easter (Mar 28, 2027) and conference basketball filling Las Vegas (Pac-12 tournaments Mar 9 to 13, 2027). Expect more I-15 traffic Friday and Sunday.
- Early November: the Nevada Open at CasaBlanca and Palms (Nov 3 to 5, 2026), then the II-Man Fall event; their online sheets showed no public times Nov 3 to 7.
- Late January: the Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival at CasaBlanca is a late-January weekend (Jan 23 to 25 in 2026; 2027 dates not yet published), a modest bump in resort rooms.
- Mesquite Days: late April to early May (Apr 29 to May 2 in 2026), with Mesquite Blvd closed on parade morning, a Saturday.
- Memorial Day weekend: heavy I-15 holiday traffic (May 31, 2027), though golf is into its lower late-spring rates.
- Las Vegas event weekends: the F1 race (Nov 19 to 21, 2026) closes Strip-area roads; allow extra time to reach I-15.

A Mesquite golf weekend without a car
If you are flying into Las Vegas for the weekend and would rather not rent a car, base yourself at CasaBlanca Resort, where the golf course is on the property. The Salt Lake Express runs from LAS Terminal 1 to the CasaBlanca stop in 1 hr 25 min for $33 to $41 one-way. On the sample weekday we checked (Tue Oct 27, 2026) it had 10 departures each way, including 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM from LAS and 12:26 PM, 1:56 PM and 3:36 PM back from Mesquite. Weekend schedules may differ, so check your dates. A car-free Mesquite golf weekend means CasaBlanca for most rounds unless you arrange rides, since the hotel records mention no golf shuttle to the other courses.

Oasis showed the same $190 morning rate on weekend and weekday dates sampled.
How much more are Mesquite hotels on weekends?
Noticeably more, up to about double at Virgin River. On official calendars seen October 2026, CasaBlanca was $111.09 on Tue Nov 10 and $152.49 on Sat Nov 14, and Virgin River $52.20 and $93.60 on the same dates. The Hampton Inn was $105 and $129 for a King.
