Course elevations: Senior Golf in Mesquite, NV: Sun City Mesquite, Conestoga and the Easier Courses

Senior golf in Mesquite NV centers on Conestoga, the public course inside Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite 55+ community, plus several easier options: flat CasaBlanca, the friendlier Oasis Palmer course and two short nines. Every 18-hole course in town has forward tees under about 5,200 yards, and all of them are within about 10 minutes of the central hotels.

Rates were seen in October 2026 and change by season and time of day. Tees and ratings are from the USGA rating database as recorded in our course data.

Conestoga and Sun City Mesquite

Conestoga is a Gary Panks design inside Sun City Mesquite. It is open to the public and ranked #20 in Nevada by Golf Digest. Sun City Mesquite residents get passes, a 58-day booking window and resident rates of $105 to $115 ($60 in summer); public golfers book 55 days out. Visitors and residents can find the resident windows and rates in the Sun City Mesquite golf guide.

It is not an easy course from the back: the Black tees are 7,171 yards with 50-plus bunkers and forced decisions over cliffs and arroyos. But it has eight sets of tees, and in 2026 the Southern Nevada Golf Association re-rated it and added a men's Copper/Jade combo.

The director of golf advises moving up a set of tees for a first round. The cart and practice balls are included, with two carts per foursome. The front nine has several blind shots, so a rangefinder helps. The 1880 Grille overlooks the 18th, but one reviewer found the kitchen closed at 1 PM on a Saturday, so check hours.

Public prices in 2026: $205 to $300 published for spring and fall (higher on some live dates), $145 to $220 in winter, and $80 to $120 from Jun 22 to Aug 30. See the Conestoga Golf Club guide for more.

The easier Mesquite golf courses

CasaBlanca: flat and cart-friendly

CasaBlanca Golf Club sits low along the Virgin River, flat and very different from the canyon courses up the hill. Unlike most Mesquite courses, carts can reach most of the course. There is water on 13 holes, but reviewers say that from the forward tees the water is mostly visual and the bunkers are the real threat. Afternoon wind is its main defense, so play in the morning. Fall 2026 mornings were $160, dropping to $130 from Nov 18. The easiest golf courses in Mesquite guide compares forward-tee slopes course by course.

Oasis Palmer: short, but precise

Oasis Palmer is the friendlier of the two Oasis courses and has eight sets of tees, down to the Red at 4,272 yards. It is a target course, with environmental areas on #5 to #8 that you cannot enter, so expect to lose a ball or two and take your drop. The cart rule is 90 degrees on par 4s and 5s and path-only on par 3s, which means some walking on the short holes. Recommended pace is 4 hours 30 minutes. The sister Oasis Canyons is rated harder.

Falcon Ridge: shorter, with big drops

Falcon Ridge is about 6,300 yards from the back, with elevated tees off high plateaus and GPS carts. The Maroon tees are 4,351 yards. One reviewer reported a 3 hour 40 minute midweek round. Its afternoon prices step down in tiers, which suits golfers who would rather play after the morning chill in winter ($95 from about 11:40 AM).

Palms: wide front nine

Palms has a palm-lined resort front nine with wide fairways, then a canyon back nine with big elevation changes. Placement beats power. It sits in Littlefield, Arizona, and was $134 for fall 2026 mornings.

The short nines

Coyote Willows is a regulation-length nine by the river, par 35, with forward tees at 2,141 yards and $50 for nine with cart in fall 2026. Beaver Dam Lodge in Arizona is nine par 3s of about 1,000 yards with walking allowed, but its 2026 operation is not confirmed, so call first. The two nines are also the only courses that publish anything friendly to walkers; see can you walk golf courses in Mesquite.

Wolf Creek: worth it, with the right tees

Wolf Creek is Mesquite's showpiece, ranked #5 in Nevada by Golf Digest, and its Classics (4,006 yards) and Signature (4,809 yards, 64.6/116 men) tees make it playable. Know the trade-offs: the terrain makes it cart-only in practice, the paths have many speed bumps, and the club says rounds will most likely exceed five hours. Late-October 2026 mornings were $360 weekdays and $390 weekends. If you play one bucket-list round, make it a cool-weather morning.

Heat, cold and pace

  • Summer: normal highs are about 104F in June, 109F in July and 107F in August. Play at first light, use a cart, carry plenty of water, and plan to finish before the early-afternoon peak. Oasis showed online times only to about 12:30 PM in summer.
  • Winter: normal lows of 32 to 33F in December and January mean frost delays and mid-morning starts. Afternoons in the low 60s are pleasant.
  • Best months: March (normal high 74.5F), April (82.3F), October (86.1F) and November (71.8F).
  • Pace: Oasis recommends 4 hours 30 minutes; Wolf Creek says 5+ hours.
