One flag per course: Every Mesquite Golf Course Compared: Tees, Slopes, Green Fees and Overseed Dates

There are seven 18-hole Mesquite golf courses, all within about 15 minutes of each other: Wolf Creek, Conestoga, Falcon Ridge, CasaBlanca, Oasis Palmer, Oasis Canyons and the Palms, which sits just over the Arizona line in Littlefield. Add two 9-hole courses (Coyote Willows and Beaver Dam Lodge) and Coyote Springs, a Nicklaus design about an hour southwest. Wolf Creek is the famous one; the rest range from canyon target golf to flat, water-heavy resort layouts.

Here's how they compare, then a short take on each.

Mesquite golf courses compared

Yardage, rating and slope are USGA figures for the back tees. Fees are what we saw in October 2026 for dates from late October 2026 into 2027. Rates change, and most 2027 peak prices weren't posted yet. Drive times are from downtown (Mesquite Blvd and Sandhill Blvd). For rankings by difficulty, see the hardest golf courses in Mesquite and the easiest Mesquite courses for high handicappers.

The low end of most ranges is a late twilight, nine-hole or junior rate, so a normal morning round costs more. Most courses use dynamic pricing too, so busy days run higher.

The 18-hole courses in town

Wolf Creek Golf Club

Mesquite's showpiece, and #59 on Golf Digest's 2025-26 list of America's 100 Greatest Public Courses (#5 in Nevada). Dennis Rider's 2000 layout is desert canyon target golf, with tees on ridges and drops of up to about 100 feet. The Challenger tees slope 147 and the Champions 140, so pick honestly. The club says rounds will most likely exceed five hours. Fall 2026 mornings were $360 weekdays and $390 weekends on the live booking engine. Foursomes only, no fivesomes.

Conestoga Golf Club

A Gary Panks design inside Del Webb's Sun City Mesquite, open to the public. It's the longest course in town (7,171 rated yards from the Black tees) and ranked #20 in Nevada by Golf Digest. The front nine has the drama, including #4, "The Fence Hole," where the fairway drops 25 feet off a cliff. Summer is the deal: $80 to $120 from Jun 22 to Aug 30, 2026. Read the full Conestoga Golf Club guide.

Falcon Ridge Golf Club

Plateau tees and big drops at a friendlier length (6,303 rated yards from the Black tees, 135 slope). The back-nine greens were rebuilt in summer 2026. It books up to 90 days out on Chronogolf, and residents get a discount at check-in. The Hampton Inn is across the street. See our Falcon Ridge Golf Club guide.

Oasis Golf Club: Palmer and Canyons

Two courses sharing one 29,000 sq ft clubhouse. The Palmer (Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, 1995) is short at 6,442 yards but slopes 138, with desert no-entry zones you can't play out of. The Canyons combines a 2005 Dave Druzisky front nine with Palmer's original 1995 nine, and the club rates it the harder of the two. Both charged $190 for fall 2026 mornings and $210 before 2 PM for March-April 2027 dates. Residents of Clark County, Nevada and Washington County, Utah get a resident rate. Read the Oasis Palmer and Canyons guide.

CasaBlanca Golf Club

Cal Olson's flat river-bottom layout next to CasaBlanca Resort, with water on 13 of 18 holes. It hosts the Nevada Open every early November. From the Double Spades it's 6,962 yards and a 141 slope; from the Clubs tees it's a friendly 125. Fall mornings were $160, dropping to $130 from Nov 18, 2026. Guests get 20% off room-and-golf packages. See the CasaBlanca Golf Club guide.

Palms Golf Club (Littlefield, AZ)

Two courses in one: a palm-lined resort front nine, then a desert canyon back nine with big elevation changes. William Hull designed it in 1990, and Mesquite Gaming runs it alongside CasaBlanca. It had the lowest morning rate of the 18-hole courses in town when we checked: $134 before about noon to 1 PM in fall 2026, and $109 from about Nov 19. Remember it's in Arizona. See our Palms Golf Club guide.

The nines

Coyote Willows is a regulation-length neighborhood nine along the Virgin River, par 35 and 2,836 yards from the Blue tees. It was $50 for nine on every date we sampled from Oct 24 to Nov 23, 2026. It books 30 days out online. One listing says it stays open through overseed, so call 702-345-3222 if you're in town in September. The Coyote Willows golf course guide has its tees, fees and booking window.

Beaver Dam Lodge is nine par 3s (about 1,000 yards) under old cottonwoods at a historic lodge in Beaver Dam, Arizona. There's no online booking and no published fee, and the last dated golf review we found was March 2025, so call 928-347-2222 before you drive out.

Coyote Springs: the day trip

Coyote Springs is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course in the desert north of Las Vegas. From Mesquite you take I-15 south and NV-168 west: Google gave 54 minutes and 55.5 miles. It's ranked #11 in Nevada by Golf Digest and plays to 7,471 yards. It runs ryegrass and bentgrass all year, so it's the one course in the Mesquite area that doesn't close for fall overseed. Read our Coyote Springs golf day trip guide.

Overseed closures

Mesquite's 18-hole courses are bermudagrass overseeded with rye each fall, and each one closes for two to five weeks. These are the latest published dates. CasaBlanca and the Palms didn't publish 2026 dates, so their 2025 dates are shown.

Questions golfers ask

What is the hardest golf course in Mesquite?

Wolf Creek. Its Challenger tees are rated 74.4 with a 147 slope, and the back nine alone slopes 155. Coyote Springs, about an hour away, slopes 149 from its 7,471-yard Black tees, and CasaBlanca's tips slope 141.

Which Mesquite golf course is the easiest?

Among the 18-hole courses, the Palms has the gentlest back-tee slope (131 from the Blue tees), and Falcon Ridge is shortest at 6,303 rated yards. CasaBlanca's Clubs tees (6,036 yards, 125 slope) are friendly too. Coyote Willows is a short 9-hole option.

Are Mesquite golf courses open in September?

Mostly not. Each course closes for two to five weeks between late August and early October to overseed with rye. Using 2026 dates (2025 for CasaBlanca and the Palms), there was a gap of roughly Sep 14 to 26 with no 18-hole course in Mesquite open. Coyote Springs, about an hour away, doesn't overseed.

Is the Palms Golf Club in Mesquite or Arizona?

It's marketed as a Mesquite course and run by Mesquite Gaming, which owns CasaBlanca, but it sits in Littlefield, Arizona, about 7 minutes from downtown Mesquite. Arizona doesn't use daylight saving, so in winter it's one hour ahead of Mesquite.

Do Mesquite golf courses include a cart?

Most do. Wolf Creek, Conestoga, CasaBlanca, the Palms and Coyote Springs include a cart in the green fee. The Oasis booking engine doesn't show it, though earlier listings say a cart is included, and Falcon Ridge's engine doesn't say.
