Sun City Mesquite golf means Conestoga Golf Club, the public Gary Panks course inside Del Webb's 55+ community, ranked #20 in Nevada by Golf Digest. Visitors book 55 days ahead online; Sun City Mesquite residents get 58 days and resident rates of $105 to $115 ($60 in summer), and Frontier pass holders get 60 days.

What is Sun City Mesquite golf?

Sun City Mesquite is a Del Webb 55+ community in Mesquite, and Conestoga is its course. It opened under Troon management in 2010 (GolfPass gives 2009) and has been under different management since about 2019. It is a public daily-fee course, so the same tee sheet serves residents, snowbirds and visitors on a golf trip.

The course itself is the town's longest at 7,171 rated yards from the Black tees: a desert canyon and arroyo layout with rock outcroppings, water and more than 50 bunkers. The front nine is the dramatic side; the back plays more traditionally. The two holes people talk about are #4, the "Fence Hole," a 394-yard par 4 with about 250 yards of fairway before it drops 25 feet off a cliff, and #10, with its green in front of a waterfall. In 2025 the club put about $2 million into the restaurant, maintenance equipment and a larger cart fleet, and in 2026 it added a Copper tee on #11 and was re-rated by the Southern Nevada Golf Association on April 27. Sun City Mesquite golf booking windows: residents vs visitors

Those three days matter. On October 23, 2026 the live sheet showed scarce public times in late October and many November and December days with nothing open, so by the time the public window reaches a date, residents and pass holders have already had their pick. Visitors should book the morning their date opens, use the Noteefy waitlist, and stay flexible on weekdays. A credit card is required for public bookings, and cancelling within 48 hours charges the card on file.

How much does golf at Sun City Mesquite cost?

Sun City Mesquite residents pay $105 to $115, or $60 in summer, on the 2026 sheet; resident rates were raised for 2026. The sheet doesn't break the resident range down further by season. Live public prices ran above the published bands on some days: $315 to $318 for mornings and midday from October 25 to November 2, 2026, $287 from November 4 to 10, and $287 for the few open times around 10 AM from November 26 to December 16. Public nine-hole rounds are $70 to $80 in season. The rate sheet shows 10 AM shotgun starts from November 22 to December 31.

The green fee includes the cart (two per foursome) and practice balls before the round. Practice without a round is $20 a day with a two-hour limit. No general Clark County or Washington County local rate is published at Conestoga; the discount is for Sun City Mesquite residents.

Conestoga tees for Sun City golfers

USGA ratings and slopes (rechecked October 2026), after the April 2026 re-rate that added the men's Copper/Jade combo. The director of golf advises moving up a set for a first round, and fairways matter more than distance here. Older reviews say the carts had no GPS and the front nine has several blind shots; whether the 2025 fleet has GPS is not confirmed, so bring a rangefinder. Copper yardages may have changed with the new #11 tee.

Playing Conestoga as a visitor

• Book the summer rate if you can take the heat. From June 22 to August 30, 2026, public golfers paid $80 to $120, the cheapest way onto a Golf Digest-ranked course in Mesquite. Go off at first light; see Mesquite summer golf.
• Avoid September. The overseed closure ran August 30 to September 30 in 2026.
• Check summer aerification. Fairways June 15 and July 20, greens June 22 to 23 and July 27 to 28, 2026.
• No outside food or drink. The 1880 Grille, renovated in 2025, overlooks the 18th with a house 1880 Lager on draft. Google showed it closing at 7 PM, and one reviewer found the kitchen closed at 1 PM on a Saturday.
• Dress: collared shirts and no denim.

Beyond Conestoga: a week of golf from Sun City Mesquite

Residents and long-stay visitors rarely play one course all winter. The rest of Mesquite is a short drive, and each course fills a different slot in the week:

• Wolf Creek is the bucket-list round, ranked #5 in Nevada by Golf Digest. Late-October 2026 mornings were $360 on weekdays, there is no published resident rate, and the club says rounds will most likely exceed five hours. The Signature tees (4,809 yards, 64.6 / 116 for men) make it playable.
• CasaBlanca is flat and close to town, with an MG Pass rate shown online through October 30 and $130 from November 18.
• Falcon Ridge has tiered afternoon prices in winter ($95, $80 and $72.50) on top of its resident discount, which suits a quick afternoon game.
• Oasis suits golfers who can show Clark County or Washington County ID, since the resident rate is booked within 30 days.

Off the course, the Mesquite Recreation Center at 100 W Old Mill Rd has two gyms, racquetball courts, indoor and outdoor heated pools and a pickleball open gym, and is closed on Sundays.
