Duotone terrain map: Mesquite golf in March: the best weather of the year, and the busiest tee sheets

Mesquite golf in March has the best weather of the year, with normal highs in the mid-70s, cool mornings and fresh overseeded rye. It is also the busiest and most expensive month, with peak rates at every major course and spring-break, Easter and Las Vegas event traffic on top of snowbird season. The answer is to book early: weekend tee times and rooms go first.

This guide covers March weather, the peak rates seen so far for 2027, when each course opens its March tee sheet, the event weeks to know about, and hotel prices.

March weather for golf

March normal
High74.5°F
Low43.1°F

Rain days5.0

These are NOAA normals for Beaver Dam, Arizona, about 8 miles from Mesquite. Expect cool starts in the 40s and comfortable mid-70s afternoons. The turf is at its best: the rye overseeded in the fall is mature, and the courses are in their peak window, which runs from February through April. Compare the other months in our Mesquite golf weather by month table.

March green fees

Peak rates apply across Mesquite golf courses in March. Many 2027 rates were not posted when checked on October 23, 2026, so this table mixes posted 2027 prices with 2026 rates where that is all there is.

Wolf Creek's top rate of 2026, $420 on weekends, ran from mid-March to early April. Its twilight in late February to early May 2026 was $330 to $350, so twilight there is still a full price. The Wolf Creek course guide has the tees and the hole notes. If March is booked up, see golf in Mesquite in April or golf in Mesquite in February.

Twilight in March

Afternoon rates are the main way to save in peak season:

  • Falcon Ridge (March 2027): $165 to $173.25 from about 12:30 to 1:10 PM, $135 from 1:20 to 1:40, and $97.50 from about 2:10 to 3:10. Finishing 18 is not guaranteed late in the day.
  • Oasis (March to April 2027): $140 from 2 PM.
  • Conestoga (2026 peak): $145 to $200 twilight, starting about 12 to 2 PM depending on the date.

In peak season, playing after lunch is the simplest way to cut the bill.

Course notes for spring 2027

  • Falcon Ridge replaced the greens on holes 10 to 18 in summer 2026, so spring 2027 is their first full peak season. Expect firm, young surfaces.
  • Wolf Creek finished its clubhouse, Terrace restaurant and pro shop remodel in early October 2026, so spring 2027 will be the first peak season in the new building. The club says rounds will most likely exceed five hours; on a busy March day, plan accordingly.
  • Conestoga prices dynamically. In fall 2026 the live sheet ran above the published band on some days. Book weekdays early in the 55-day window to land at the low end.
  • Coyote Springs is ryegrass and bentgrass all year and is ranked #11 in Nevada by Golf Digest. Its spring 2027 prices were not loaded when checked. A $50 replay after a full-rate morning round makes it a good 36-hole day.

When March tee times open

Booking windows vary a lot, and in March the best times go as soon as they open.

Course Public booking window For a mid-March round, opens around
Falcon Ridgeup to 90 daysmid-December (the sheet was already loaded through Jun 7, 2027 on Oct 23, 2026)

The "opens around" dates are simple counts back from March 15, not dates published by the courses. Falcon Ridge's sheet showing March times already is a good sign that you can lock in early there. Full details are in Mesquite tee times booking windows.

Why March is so busy

Several things stack up in the same weeks:

  • Snowbirds. Snowbird season builds in February, and snowbirds are in town through the February to April peak. See Mesquite snowbird golf.
  • Spring breaks. Washington County, Utah schools break Mar 8 - 12, 2027; other Utah districts and Canadian provinces break in various March weeks. This is the heaviest family travel of the year in the St. George and Mesquite corridor.
  • Easter. Mar 28, 2027.
  • Las Vegas basketball. The Big Ten women's tournament (Mar 3 - 7, 2027), the Pac-12 men's and women's tournaments (Mar 9 - 13), Mountain West tournaments (2027 dates not found) and an NCAA women's regional (Mar 26 - 29). These fill Las Vegas hotels and raise LAS fares and rental car prices in the same weeks.

The practical effects: weekend tee times and rooms go fast, and I-15 between Las Vegas and Mesquite carries more traffic on Friday and Sunday. If you fly into LAS, see Las Vegas to Mesquite golf for drive times and the shuttle.

March hotel rates

Rates seen October 23, 2026 on official booking engines, before tax:

Hotel Tue Mar 9, 2027 Sat Mar 13, 2027
CasaBlanca (Deluxe 2 Queen)$120.09$188.49
Virgin River Casino & Lodge$48.60$93.60
Hampton Inn & Suites$112 (King or 2 Queen)$160 King, $168 2 Queen

Virgin River also showed $111.60 and $102.60 for Mar 19 and 20. CasaBlanca's calendar figures appear to include its $12.99 resort fee; Virgin River and Hampton charge no resort fee. Midweek stays are far cheaper than weekends everywhere.

The time change in March

Daylight saving starts Mar 14, 2027. Before that date, the Arizona side of the line, including the Palms in Littlefield and Beaver Dam, is one hour ahead of Mesquite. From Mar 14, the two match. St. George is one hour ahead of Mesquite all year. If your trip straddles mid-March or includes the Palms, double-check which clock your tee time uses.

Planning a March golf trip to Mesquite

  1. Pick midweek dates. Both green fees (Wolf Creek's weekend premium was $30 in 2026) and hotel rates are lower Monday to Thursday.
  2. Book on the day each window opens, starting with CasaBlanca and Palms (120 days) and Falcon Ridge (90 days).
  3. Consider a package for Oasis. Stay-and-play guests can book 180 days out instead of 60.
  4. Use afternoons. March afternoons are warm and twilight rates are where the savings are.
  5. If March is full, look at April or November. April is low 80s and still prime golf; November is low 70s, dry and less crowded than March.
