Mesquite, Nevada Time Zone for Golfers: Don't Miss Your Tee Time

The Mesquite Nevada time zone for golfers is Pacific Time, the same as Las Vegas, and every Nevada course in Mesquite runs its tee sheet on it. The catches are next door: Palms Golf Club and Beaver Dam Lodge are in Arizona, which is an hour ahead of Mesquite in winter, and St. George, Utah is an hour ahead all year.

Three time zones meet within about 40 minutes of Mesquite, and phones near the lines can switch on their own. Here is how to keep your tee times straight.

Mesquite, Nevada time zone for golfers: the three clocks

Arizona does not change its clocks. Nevada and Utah both do. So Mesquite and the Arizona towns match from spring to fall, then split for the winter.

The 2026-27 dates

The winter split, from Nov 1, 2026 to Mar 14, 2027, is exactly when snowbirds are in town and Mesquite golf is at its busiest from February. The Mesquite golf courses and their clocks

Palms Golf Club, Littlefield, Arizona

Palms is marketed as a Mesquite course and is run by Mesquite Gaming, which also owns CasaBlanca, but it sits just across the state line in Littlefield, Arizona. You book it through the same online engine as CasaBlanca, or by phone at 702-346-4067, a Nevada number.

Which clock its tee sheet uses in winter has not been confirmed, and published sources are not consistent on it. Ask when you book, and write the answer on your confirmation: "9:00 Pacific" or "9:00 Arizona." In summer it does not matter, because the clocks match. From Nov 1 to Mar 14, it is the difference between a calm warm-up and a missed time. The Palms Golf Club guide covers the course itself.

Beaver Dam Lodge, Beaver Dam, Arizona

The lodge's golf page lists first-to-last tee times in Arizona time: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM from November to February, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM from March to May and 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM from June to October. The page was last updated for the 2021-22 season, there is no online booking, and the course's 2026 operation is not confirmed, so call 928-347-2222. In winter, an 8:00 AM Arizona tee time there is 7:00 AM in Mesquite.

St. George: always one hour ahead

St. George is about 40 to 45 minutes northeast up I-15 and on Mountain Time. That hour never goes away, because Utah and Nevada change clocks on the same dates. The course records put it simply: a 9:00 tee time in Mesquite is 10:00 on a St. George clock. If you are staying in St. George and driving down for a Mesquite round:

• For a 9:00 AM Mesquite tee time, leave St. George by about 8:45 AM St. George time. That is 7:45 Pacific, and 40 to 45 minutes of driving gets you to the course around 8:30.
• Allow extra time for the Virgin River Gorge, a narrow, winding stretch of I-15 in Arizona where crashes or lane work can back traffic up for an hour. Arizona DOT posts work at az511.gov.
• Going home, a 1:30 PM finish in Mesquite is 2:30 PM in St. George.

Trips that cross a clock change

The weekends to watch are the two clock changes. In 2026, daylight time ends on Sunday, Nov 1. A trip that runs from late October into early November sees two things happen at once:

• Mesquite, Las Vegas and St. George all set their clocks back an hour that night, so a Sunday morning tee time comes an hour "later" on your body clock than Saturday's did.
• Arizona does not change, so from that Sunday the Arizona side (Palms and Beaver Dam Lodge) is suddenly one hour ahead of Mesquite.

The reverse happens on Mar 14, 2027: Nevada and Utah spring forward, Arizona catches up with Mesquite again, and anyone with an early Sunday tee time loses an hour of sleep. If your group has a Palms round within a few days of either date, confirm the time with the shop the day before. The same goes for anyone driving down from St. George, whose hotel clock stays one hour ahead of Mesquite either way.

Flights and the airport clock

• Las Vegas (LAS) is Pacific, the same as Mesquite. A 6:00 PM flight is 6:00 PM on your Mesquite clock. Allow about 97 minutes of free-flow driving from Mesquite to the LAS Rent-A-Car Center, plus return and security time.
• St. George (SGU) is Mountain, one hour ahead. A 6:00 PM SGU departure is 5:00 PM in Mesquite. The drive is about 54 minutes. It is easy to lose that hour if you finish a Mesquite round and drive straight up.

The phone problem

Phones near the state lines can pick up an Arizona or Utah tower and show the wrong local time. In Mesquite you are close to the Arizona line, and Littlefield and Beaver Dam are just across it. If your phone suddenly shows a different hour, set the time zone to Pacific manually for the trip. This matters most for:

• the alarm for a dawn tee time in summer, when some Mesquite tee sheets stop around midday
• a winter frost-delay call from the shop
• shuttle times on the Salt Lake Express from Mesquite to LAS

The Mesquite time zone for golfers, in five lines:

1. Nevada courses in Mesquite and Coyote Springs: Pacific.
2. Palms (Littlefield, AZ): ask which clock, especially Nov 1 to Mar 14.
3. Beaver Dam Lodge (AZ): Arizona time; an hour ahead of Mesquite in winter.
4. St. George: one hour ahead, all year.
5. Phone: set it to Pacific manually.
