Green fees in St. George, Utah ran from $30 walking (St. George Golf Club and Southgate, summer) to $450 (Black Desert, peak, non-guests) for 18 holes when we checked in October 2026. Most public courses around St. George, Washington and Hurricane sat between about $50 and $135 in season, and every price drops in summer. Across the line in Mesquite, Nevada, the ranked courses run higher in spring but fall hard in summer and late in the day.
This page puts every course's green fees in one place, sorted by season, so you can see where the money goes before you book tee times. For tactics on paying less, see cheap golf in St. George.
How the seasons work for St. George green fees
Courses don't all use the same calendar, but the pattern is consistent across Southern Utah golf:
- Peak (February to May): best weather, highs about 59 to 85°F, snowbirds and spring break. Top prices everywhere.
- Summer (June to August): highs about 96 to 102°F in St. George. The lowest prices of the year.
- Overseed (September): most courses close two to four weeks. The city courses keep summer rates through September.
- Fall (October and November): fresh turf, 64 to 79°F days and near-peak prices, easing into November.
- Winter (December and January): cool, with frost delays. Some courses cut prices; the city keeps its October to May rate.
The City of St. George uses just two seasons: October to May and June to September. The resort courses price dynamically by the day and the hour, so the figures below are what we saw on official rate pages and live tee sheets in October 2026. Rates change, sometimes weekly.

Green fees by area: what each part of town costs
Where you play shapes the bill as much as when.
- Central and south St. George (7–14 minutes from downtown): the cheapest golf in the area. Southgate, St. George Golf Club and Dixie Red Hills are city courses, and SunRiver, near I-15 exit 2, is mid-priced. The full city rate card is in our guide to St. George city golf courses.
- The west side, Ivins and Snow Canyon (12–15 minutes): the most expensive cluster. Black Desert and The Ledges sit here, but so does Sunbrook, the best-value 27 holes in town.
- Washington, east side (12–17 minutes): the middle. Green Spring at $50 to $90 with a cart and Coral Canyon at about $115 to $135.
- Hurricane, toward Zion (28–36 minutes): the widest spread, from Sky Mountain at about $68 to $88 with a cart to Sand Hollow at up to $366.
- Mesquite (50–57 minutes): high in spring, low in summer and late in the day.
Where to find value
Play in summer, at dawn. June to August is when green fees in St. George bottom out: Sunbrook $54 with a cart, Green Spring $50, SunRiver $56, Conestoga $80 to $120. Black Desert's summer rate ($325 non-guest from 10:15 a.m.) matches its January to mid-March low. Our St. George summer golf guide covers the heat.
Play Sand Hollow on a winter afternoon. At $75 to $85 after about 1 p.m. in December and January, it's half the morning price. Twilight times aren't guaranteed to finish 18, so check sunset.
Play The Ledges after 2 p.m. October afternoons were $145 to $175 against $255 to $295 in the morning. Our twilight golf in St. George guide lists every afternoon rate.
Stay at Black Desert if you'll play it. Resort guests save $75 to $125 a round.
Walk the city courses. A cart costs $20 extra on 18 holes. At Southgate and St. George Golf Club, walking is $44 in peak season.
Check whether you count as local. If you have a Utah ID with a Washington County address, the city loyalty card ($80 a year), SunRiver's county rate and The Ledges' Club 72 pass can cut 20 percent or more off a peak-season round. Snowbirds should read our St. George golf resident rates guide before assuming they qualify.
