Tee-time booking windows: St. George Tee Times: How Far Ahead Each Course Lets You Book (and When to Set Your Alarm)

The tee times booking window in St. George, Utah ranges from just 14 days at the four City of St. George courses and Green Spring in Washington to 180 days at Sand Hollow in Hurricane, with The Ledges in between at 120. If you want a prime spring weekend morning, the booking window matters more than the price.

Here is every course's window across Washington County and Mesquite, NV, what it costs you to cancel, and a countdown you can use to put booking reminders in your calendar. All policies were read on official sites and live tee sheets in October 2026. They change, so double-check before you hit "book".

Booking tee times in St. George and Washington County, area by area

The long-window courses are mostly the destination rounds, and they're not all in town. Here is how the windows line up by area, with drive times from downtown St. George on our map's routing.

Area Courses Drive from downtown Windows
Central St. GeorgeDixie Red Hills, Southgate, St. George GC, Sunbrook7–12 min14 days
South St. GeorgeSunRiver14 min60 days
West and north side: Ivins, Snow CanyonBlack Desert, Entrada, The Ledges12–15 min60 days (Black Desert), hotel only (Entrada), 120 days (The Ledges)
WashingtonGreen Spring, Coral Canyon12–17 min14 days, 90 days
Hurricane, toward ZionSky Mountain, Sand Hollow, Copper Rock28–36 minReportedly 7 days, 180 days, 60 days
Mesquite, NV and Littlefield, AZEight courses50–57 min56 to 120 days (see below)

Two things follow from that. First, the bucket-list rounds that need booking months ahead, Sand Hollow and The Ledges, sit on opposite sides of St. George: Sand Hollow is 32 minutes east of downtown in Hurricane, and The Ledges is 15 minutes out on the Snow Canyon side of town. Don't lock in a morning at one and an early afternoon at the other without checking the drive.

Second, the 14-day courses are the ones closest to downtown, so they're the easiest to slot in late around the fixed rounds. Book the far-away, long-window courses first and fill in with the city courses two weeks out.

Mesquite, NV booking windows

Mesquite windows mostly run 56 to 120 days, and a few courses reward locals.

When we checked Falcon Ridge on October 11, 2026, its Chronogolf sheet already showed public times through June 7, 2027, well past the 90 days on its site. Mesquite tee times are in Pacific time, an hour behind St. George. A 9:00 tee time there is 10:00 on a St. George clock.

Palms is the exception to watch. It sits just over the line in Arizona, which does not observe daylight saving, but it is sold and run from Mesquite. Its record says the tee times are very likely on Mesquite time, so confirm when you book.

Tee times beyond St. George: Beaver Dam, Cedar City and Zion's east side

Three more Southern Utah and Arizona courses show up on golf trips from St. George, and none works like the main courses.

Course Where Drive from downtown St. George How to book
Beaver Dam LodgeBeaver Dam, AZ39 min, 29.5 miWalk-up; no website or online booking. Call 928-347-2222

Cedar Ridge's short 7-day window rarely matters, but its season does: at about 5,810 feet, snow closures are likely from December to February. Our Cedar City and Southern Utah golf post covers all three.

The booking countdown: a worked example

Say your group wants to play Saturday, March 20, 2027, a busy spring Saturday. Here is roughly when each window opens, counting back from the round. Courses don't publish exactly how they count the days, so set your reminder a day early.

Window Opens around Courses
180 daysMon, Sep 21, 2026Sand Hollow (public), Oasis package guests
120 daysFri, Nov 20, 2026The Ledges, CasaBlanca, Palms
90 daysSun, Dec 20, 2026Coral Canyon, Falcon Ridge
60 daysTue, Jan 19, 2027Copper Rock, SunRiver, Oasis, Black Desert (per 2024 release)
56 daysSat, Jan 23, 2027Conestoga
14 daysSat, Mar 6, 2027City courses, Green Spring

This is not theory. When we checked the Sand Hollow tee sheet on October 11, 2026, Saturday, March 20, 2027 already showed only afternoon times. The mornings were gone within weeks of the window opening. If Sand Hollow is your bucket-list round, book the day it opens.

Which St. George booking windows actually fill up

Not every St. George tee times booking window turns into a race. Three patterns are worth knowing.

Long windows on the bucket-list courses fill first. Sand Hollow and The Ledges let you book months ahead, which means other golfers do too. Sand Hollow is the proof. Spring weekends are where it bites. March and April combine snowbirds, spring break and Easter, and the Washington County School District breaks March 8 to 12, 2027.

Short windows level the field. The city courses only open 14 days out, so nobody can lock up a city tee time months ahead. Set a reminder for the day your date opens if you want a weekend tee time at Sunbrook in March.

Stay-and-play buys you time. Three operators give lodging guests a longer runway than the public:

  • Sand Hollow Resort lodging guests can book up to a year out (resort FAQ). The STAY&PLAY code also gives 10% off rooms and 20% off tee times.
  • Black Desert stay-and-play bookings can go up to a year ahead, and guests pay $75 to $125 less per round.
  • Oasis package guests get 180 days versus 60 for the public.

If your group is set on specific dates, that extra runway can matter more than the discount. Our St. George golf packages post covers the deals in detail.

Where you actually book

Each course uses its own booking system, so bookmark the right one before your window opens. These are the systems linked from each course's booking page in October 2026.

Sky Mountain's official site could not be read when we checked, and Wolf Creek books through its own site or Wolf Creek Vacations (866-252-4653). Watch the currency, too: Copper Rock's Golfscape page showed its rate in Canadian dollars when we checked.

Rules that trip people up

Booking windows are only half the story. These policies catch visiting groups out.

  • Singles. At Sand Hollow, singles can't book online inside 48 hours and must call the pro shop. Green Spring singles must call unless joining an open online group. The Ledges won't let an online single take an empty tee time. Black Desert singles book by phone.
  • Prepay. Sand Hollow, The Ledges, SunRiver and Green Spring online times are prepaid. Sand Hollow's prepaid times are non-refundable and there are no rain checks.
  • Charged for 18. SunRiver charges 18-hole bookings for 18 holes even if you play nine.
  • Group size caps. Coral Canyon takes online groups of 11 or fewer. Copper Rock routes groups to Group Sales. Wolf Creek is foursomes only, with no fivesomes.
  • Cart limits. Green Spring allows two carts per group and pairs singles. SunRiver allows two carts per tee time Thursday to Sunday.
  • Online outages. Green Spring's city page said "online is down" when we checked on October 11, 2026, and asked golfers to call (435) 673-7888.

When the window doesn't matter

Sometimes the St. George tee times booking window barely matters, and you can book late and still play well. Summer tee sheets are open and winter is quieter outside holiday weeks. City summer rates drop to $30 walking at St. George Golf Club and Southgate (June to September, checked October 2026). In December and January, Sand Hollow's rate drops by about half after 1 pm. Read twilight golf in St. George and cheap golf in St. George for the late-booking deals.

Late September is the exception the other way. The city courses close in turn for overseed (September 8 to October 6 in 2026), so the courses still open get busier. Book as soon as your 14-day window opens.

If you are planning a group trip, start with the buddies golf trip guide and the St. George golf trip guide, then come back here to set your booking dates.

Plan it on the map
