Before you book

Signature holes

• #12 — par 5 (~560 yds) from a dramatically elevated tee with a drop of nearly 100 ft. Pond left of the landing zone; narrow green with water short-left and a pond long-right (widely called the signature hole).
• #8 — 248-yd par 3 from the back tees. A creek wraps the front and left of the green and spills over a waterfall behind it; the bailout room to the right can't be seen from the tee.
• #17 — 562-yd par 5 down a chute between mountains, finishing with a tall approach over a river to a peninsula green; eight bunkers.
• #2 — tee box about 11 stories above the fairway (GolfPass).

Local knowledge

• Time zone: Mesquite is on Pacific time, one hour BEHIND St. George (Mountain) all year. Tee times are Mesquite local time, so a 9:00 tee time is 10:00 on a St. George clock.
• Pick tees honestly. The Champions tees (6,377 yds on the card) slope 140, and the Challenger tees (147, with 155 on the back nine) are for genuine low single-digit players. One reviewer says #8 is fun from the whites but punishing from the back.
• Plan on 5+ hours. The club itself says rounds will 'most likely exceed five hours', and twilight groups often don't finish.
• Winter has been the cheapest window for the full experience: last season it was $200 rack from Dec 8 to Jan 14, with split-tee starts, so frost delays move everyone back. The 2026–27 winter rates were not posted as of 2026-10-23. The mid-March to early-April peak reached $420 on weekends in 2026.
• In late October 2026 the booking engine showed $310 afternoon times from about 1:10 PM, against $360–$390 in the morning. Twilight here still means a full rate and you may not finish.
• #14 doglegs left with six bunkers inside the bend. Favor the right side, because anything left is likely a bogey. #15 (125-yd par 3) is the best birdie chance.
• Cancel more than 48 hours out (groups of 11 or fewer) to avoid a charge. No-shows pay full rack rate.
• Right after the Aug 30–Oct 2, 2026 overseed, early October can mean cart-path-only play and grass that is still filling in.
