The key number: Golf in St. George, Utah in November: Open Courses, Weather, Rates and Events

Golf in St. George, Utah in November is about as good as it gets: every course from St. George and Washington to Hurricane and Mesquite, NV has reopened from the fall overseed, highs average about 64°F, and the wind is among the lightest of the year. Resort green fees run roughly half their spring level, and several Mesquite courses drop again in the second half of the month. The things to plan around are a handful of early-November tournaments and frost delays that start late in the month.

This post covers what's open, what the weather does, what November rounds cost and which dates to avoid. For the wider calendar, see the best time to golf in St. George.

November golf weather in St. George and Mesquite

NOAA 1991-2020 normals for St. George, with October and December for comparison. Wind is the average daily speed at St. George Regional Airport, 2016-2025. Mesquite figures are from the Beaver Dam, Arizona station, about 8 miles from Mesquite.

Month St. George high / low Rain (in) Rain days Wind (mph) Mesquite-area high / low
October79°F / 47°F0.773.44.886°F / 53°F
November64°F / 35°F0.673.03.672°F / 40°F
December53°F / 28°F0.864.53.260°F / 32°F

November is the turning point of the golf year in Southern Utah. Early in the month, afternoons are comfortable in a polo. By late November, lows in the mid-30s mean frost delays begin, and tee times start to drift toward mid-morning. The low-to-high swing is about 29 degrees, so dress in layers.

Wind is the quiet advantage. At 3.6 mph on average, November is about half as windy as April at the airport (7.1 mph). That matters most on the exposed courses in Hurricane, such as Sand Hollow with its cliff-edge back nine and the mesa-top Sky Mountain, where wind is the main defense. The full year is in St. George golf weather by month.

Which St. George golf courses are open in November

All of them, as far as published schedules go. The fall overseed and the PGA TOUR closure at Black Desert both finish by early October, and no course on our map published a November closure. What lingers into October is cart-path-only play while the new ryegrass fills in.

Coral Canyon in Washington doesn't overseed, and Sand Hollow and Sky Mountain published no fall closure. 2026 dates weren't found for CasaBlanca or Palms; in 2025 CasaBlanca was cart-path-only to Oct 9, and Palms reopened Oct 2.

The upshot: by November, the cart-path-only weeks are over and the overseeded fairways have settled. One note for Mesquite: at Falcon Ridge, the back-nine greens are brand new as of fall 2026, so expect firm, young surfaces. Course-by-course closure history is in the St. George overseed schedule.

Early November vs late November

The month splits in two, and which half you pick changes the trip.

Early November (roughly the 1st to the 15th) has the warmer afternoons and the full day of light, but it's also when the tournaments land. Copper Rock's peak season runs to Nov 15, and Conestoga's spring-level public rate runs to Nov 21.

Late November (the 16th onward) brings price cuts in Hurricane and Mesquite:

  • Copper Rock's group sheet drops from $235 to $95 per player from Nov 16.
  • CasaBlanca drops from $160 to $130, with twilight from noon at $90, from about Nov 19.
  • Conestoga moves to its $145–$220 band from Nov 22, with no twilight rate.

The trade is cooler mornings, with frost delays starting late in the month, and Thanksgiving week, when family travel fills resort lodging. Sand Hollow's twilight rate in November starts at 2 p.m., and twilight rounds there aren't guaranteed to finish 18, so start early in the window.

November golf events that block tee times

Date (2026) Event Where Effect
Nov 3–5Nevada OpenCasaBlanca (and Palms), Mesquite200+ golfers; host courses busy
Nov 6–8II-Man Fall resort tournamentCasaBlancaBlocks the tee sheet
Nov 9–10Utah PGA Pro-Assistants ChampionshipSunbrook and SunRiver, St. GeorgeMay limit tee times for two days
Nov 22Gobbler ClassicCasaBlancaBlocks the tee sheet
Nov 26ThanksgivingRegion-wideFamily travel; resort lodging fills; tee sheets lighter than spring

That makes CasaBlanca busy through much of Nov 3–8. If you're planning a Mesquite leg, look at Oasis, Conestoga, Falcon Ridge or Wolf Creek in that week instead. The big October events, including the St. George Marathon, the PGA TOUR event at Black Desert and the Huntsman World Senior Games (Oct 5–17 in 2026), are over by November. The full year is in the St. George golf events calendar.
