Map of the courses in this guide: How to Plan a Mesquite Golf Trip: Courses, Hotels, Timing and Getting There

A Mesquite golf trip works best as a three- to five-day stay in one town, with seven 18-hole courses all within about 11 minutes of downtown and a Golf Digest top-100 public course in Wolf Creek. Fly into Las Vegas, drive about 90 miles up I-15, and go in October to November or February to April for the best weather. Skip September, when most courses close in turn to overseed.

Below is everything you need to plan it: the courses, timing, travel, where to stay and what it costs, with the prices we saw in October 2026.

Why golfers pick Mesquite

Mesquite is a Nevada town on I-15, right where it crosses into Arizona. The courses sit close together, and most are 5 to 11 minutes from downtown (Mesquite Blvd and Sandhill Blvd). You can play 36 holes in a day without much driving.

It also mixes styles. Some courses are canyon target golf with tees high above the fairways. Others are flat, water-heavy resort layouts. And several casino hotels sell room-and-golf deals, with midweek rooms that can be cheap.

Tee data is USGA course rating and slope from the back tees. Fees are the range seen in October 2026 for dates running into 2027. Rates change, and most 2027 peak prices weren't posted yet.

Coyote Willows (9 holes)352,836, 33.7/118$50 for 96 min

Two extras: Coyote Springs, a Jack Nicklaus course ranked #11 in Nevada by Golf Digest, is about an hour southwest and never closes for overseed. The 9-hole par-3 course at Beaver Dam Lodge in Arizona is a curiosity, and its 2026 operation isn't confirmed, so call first.

When to go on a Mesquite golf trip

Mesquite golf follows the desert calendar. These are NOAA 1991-2020 normals from Beaver Dam, Arizona, about 8 miles northeast and the closest station with full records.

Months Normal highs What to expect
Feb-Apr66-82FPeak season. Best turf, top rates, busiest tee sheets (March is the tightest)
May92.5FRates step down through the month; play mornings
Jun-Aug104-109FCheapest golf of the year, dawn tee times only
Sep99.9FOverseed: most 18-hole courses close in turn
Oct-Nov72-86FFall peak on fresh rye; some cart-path-only days in early October
Dec-Jan60-62FQuieter and cheaper; frosty mornings delay first tee times

The one month to plan around is September. Using 2026 dates (2025 for CasaBlanca and the Palms, whose 2026 dates weren't published), there was roughly a two-week stretch from about Sep 14 to 26 with no 18-hole course in Mesquite open. Our guide to the best time to golf in Mesquite has each course's closure dates and goes month by month.

Getting there

Flying into Las Vegas (LAS)

Harry Reid International in Las Vegas is the usual airport. It has far more flights and cheaper fares than St. George. From the Rent-A-Car Center it's about 91 miles to Mesquite. The OSRM router estimates 97 minutes without traffic, which is conservative for a 70-75 mph interstate, but the slow part is getting through Las Vegas to I-15 north. Las Vegas is on Pacific Time, the same as Mesquite.

No car? The Salt Lake Express shuttle runs from Terminal 1 (Zero Level, Courtesy Shuttle Zone) to CasaBlanca and Virgin River in 1 hour 25 minutes. On a sample weekday (Tuesday, October 27, 2026) it showed 10 departures from LAS, from 12:30 AM to 10:30 PM, at $33 to $41 one way. Schedules change by day. Our Las Vegas to Mesquite golf post covers the drive and shuttle in more detail.

Flying into St. George (SGU)

St. George Regional is about 42 miles and 54 minutes away, with regional jets from Dallas/Fort Worth, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver and Los Angeles. It's worth a look if you connect anyway or want to add St. George golf to the trip. The drive south runs through the Virgin River Gorge, a narrow canyon stretch of I-15 where crashes and lane work can back traffic up.

Mind the clocks

Mesquite is on Pacific Time. St. George, about 40 to 45 minutes northeast up I-15, is on Mountain Time and always one hour ahead. Arizona keeps Mountain Standard Time all year, so the Palms (Littlefield) and Beaver Dam Lodge are one hour ahead of Mesquite from early November to mid-March (Nov 1, 2026 to Mar 14, 2027) and on the same clock the rest of the year.

Phones near the state line can pick up an Arizona or Utah tower and show the wrong time. Set your phone to Pacific by hand. If you're booking the Palms in winter, ask which clock the tee time is on. If you are also playing in St. George, the Mesquite St. George time difference guide covers booking on both clocks.

Where to stay

Most golf hotels are within about 10 minutes of most courses. The main choices:

  • CasaBlanca Resort: casino resort with CasaBlanca Golf Club on site and the Palms as a sister course. Hotel guests get 20% off room-and-golf packages through the golf package coordinator (877-438-2929). A Deluxe 2 Queen started at $102.09 Sun-Thu in December 2026 on the official calendar (seen October 2026), plus tax; that figure appears to include the $12.99 nightly resort fee.
  • Eureka Casino Resort: the golf desk (866-582-5386) books Wolf Creek, the Oasis courses and the rest. The resort advertises preferred access to Wolf Creek. Resort fee $12.99.
  • Virgin River Casino & Lodge: the cheapest beds in town, $46.80 Sun-Thu in December and January (seen October 2026) with no resort fee. The rooms are older and the casino is smoky.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Mesquite: smoke-free, no casino, free hot breakfast, and Falcon Ridge across the street. $105 for Tue Nov 10, 2026 and $112 for Tue Mar 9, 2027.
  • Masters Villas: two-bedroom villas sleeping six next to the Oasis range, each with a golf cart and garage, $200 a night for non-owners when Bonus Time is open.

Groups of six to 12 can also rent a whole house or big condo through Mesquite Vacation Rentals, but cancellations inside 30 days forfeit everything. Our Mesquite golf hotels guide compares them all.

A sample Mesquite golf trip

For a four-round trip in fall or spring, a sensible order is:

  1. Arrival day: fly into LAS, drive up I-15, and if you land early, play a quick nine at Coyote Willows (its online sheet ran to about 3:30 PM in late October).
  2. Day 1: Oasis Palmer in the morning, and Canyons, which shares the clubhouse, in the afternoon if you want 36.
  3. Day 2: Conestoga, with lunch at the 1880 Grille.
  4. Day 3: Falcon Ridge or CasaBlanca, whichever fits your hotel.
  5. Day 4: Wolf Creek, saved for last, with five hours set aside. The club itself says rounds will "most likely exceed five hours."

Want more? Add a Coyote Springs day or a round in St. George. Our 3-day Mesquite golf itinerary and the 5-day St. George and Mesquite itinerary lay out full plans. The 4 day Mesquite golf trip itinerary lays out four rounds day by day, and things to do in Mesquite NV besides golf has rest-day ideas.

Budgeting

Rates move with the season and many courses use dynamic pricing. As a rough guide from fall 2026 prices:

  • Wolf Creek is the splurge: $360 weekday and $390 weekend mornings in late October 2026. Winter last season was $200 to $230, and the 2026-27 winter rates weren't posted yet.
  • The Oasis courses ($190) and Falcon Ridge ($185 to $203.04) were in the same band for fall 2026 mornings. Conestoga's dynamic public rates ran higher, $287 to $318 on the live sheet. Twilight and winter rates are well below that.
  • CasaBlanca and the Palms are the value pair: $160 and $134 in the morning in late October 2026, falling to $130 and $109 in late November.
  • Summer cuts everything: Conestoga's 2026 public rate was $80 to $120 from Jun 22 to Aug 30.

Most courses include a cart in the green fee.

Questions golfers ask

How many golf courses are in Mesquite, Nevada?

Seven 18-hole courses sit in and around town: Wolf Creek, Conestoga, Falcon Ridge, CasaBlanca, Oasis Palmer, Oasis Canyons and the Palms (just over the line in Littlefield, Arizona). There are also two nines, Coyote Willows and Beaver Dam Lodge, and Coyote Springs is about an hour away by car.

What airport do you fly into for a Mesquite golf trip?

Most golfers fly into Las Vegas Harry Reid International (LAS), about 91 miles away on I-15. A router estimate puts the drive at 97 minutes from the rental car center, though many drivers do it faster. The Salt Lake Express shuttle runs LAS to Mesquite in 1 hour 25 minutes ($33-$41 one way, seen October 2026).

When is the best time for a Mesquite golf trip?

October to November and February to April have the best weather and turf. Normal highs run about 72-86F in fall and 66-82F in spring, but those are also the highest-priced months. Avoid September, when most courses close in turn for overseed.

How far ahead can I book tee times in Mesquite?

It varies by course. Oasis opens public times 60 days out (180 days with a stay-and-play package), Conestoga 55 days, Falcon Ridge up to 90 days, and CasaBlanca and the Palms 120 days online. Wolf Creek doesn't publish a window.

Is Mesquite on the same time as Las Vegas?

Yes. Mesquite and Las Vegas are both on Pacific Time. St. George, Utah is always one hour ahead, and the Arizona side of the line (Littlefield and Beaver Dam) is one hour ahead from early November to mid-March.
