Tee-time ticket: Yuma golf trip budget: a real cost breakdown for a week

A realistic Yuma golf trip budget for one week runs from about $525 per golfer (an RV lot and five low-cost rounds) to about $805 each for two golfers sharing a hotel suite and playing prime times, at prices seen in October 2026. Food, travel and some taxes come on top. Punch cards, walking and late tee times cut it.

Yuma's green fees are modest, but the total still depends on three choices: where you sleep, when you tee off, and whether you ride or walk. This guide builds two sample weeks from real posted prices, shows where the money goes, and lists the levers that save the most.

Quick facts

  • Thrifty week: about $525 per golfer (RV lot with utilities, five budget rounds).
  • Comfortable week: about $805 per golfer (shared hotel suite, five prime rounds).
  • Low-cost full 18s seen: Mesa del Sol $35 from 2 PM on weekdays and Desert Hills $40 walking after 1 PM (Jan-Mar).
  • Cheapest weekly RV rate seen: Sun Vista, $341 plus tax.
  • No Yuma-wide pass; punch cards and passes are course by course.
  • All prices seen October 2026 and subject to change; 2027 peak tables were not all posted.

Yuma golf trip budget: two sample weeks

Both plans are seven nights and five rounds, for one golfer, in the January-to-March season where rates allow.

Plan A: the thrifty week (about $525)

Item Price seen Notes
7 nights, Caravan Oasis 55+ RV Park$379.50Weekly rate, utilities and tax included; you bring the RV
Desert Hills, walk after 1 PM$40Jan-Mar table
Arroyo Dunes par 3, walk 18$20Jan-Mar table
Butterfield, 18 before 1 PM$30FY 2025-26 sheet, the latest posted
Foothills Par 3, 9 holes$20Walking
Mesa del Sol, weekday from 2 PM, with cart$35Late Oct 2026; winter rates not posted
Total$524.50Before food, fuel and travel

Three of those five rounds are par-3 courses, which keeps the price down and suits a practice-minded week. Caravan Oasis is in the Foothills, about 6 minutes from Mesa del Sol, so the Butterfield and Desert Hills days are the longest drives.

Plan B: the comfortable week (about $805)

Item Price seen Notes
7 nights, SpringHill Suites Yuma, shared by two$490$140 a night (Wed Feb 17, 2027 rate, marriott.com, before tax), split two ways; free breakfast
Desert Hills before 11 AM, with cart$75Jan-Mar table
Las Barrancas, with cart$65Posted in-season rate
Mesa del Sol morning, with cart$55Late Oct 2026 rate
Coyote Wash, with cartup to $70FY 2026-27 stated maximum
Desert Hills after 1 PM, with cart$49Jan-Mar table
Total$804Before tax, food and travel

SpringHill's rate is for one Wednesday night and its search defaulted to one guest; other nights, weekends and a two-guest search may differ. Every suite there has a sofa bed and trundle, so four golfers sharing would cut the lodging line to about $245 each.

Where the money goes

In Plan B, lodging is about 61% of the total and golf about 39%. In Plan A the RV lot is about 72%. So the base you pick usually matters more than which course you play. Some lodging prices seen October 2026, before tax unless noted:

Food

Restaurant prices aren't in our data, so we haven't put a food number in either plan. The two biggest savings are easy to control:

Clubhouse grills cover lunch at most courses: the Trackman Deli & Bar at Las Barrancas, The Tipsy Cactus at Foothills Executive, the Coyote Den at Coyote Wash (October to April) and The Hills GastroPub at Desert Hills.

Seven ways to cut a Yuma golf trip budget

  1. Walk Desert Hills. In January to March, walking is $55 against $75 before 11 AM, and $40 against $49 after 1 PM. The Desert Hills course guide has the full table.
  2. Play late. On Saturday, Oct 24, 2026, Las Barrancas' live sheet showed $35 from 3 PM and $25 later, against a $65 rack rate. Mesa del Sol was $35 from 2 PM on weekdays. Foothills Executive showed $15 for its last hour of starts.
  3. Buy a punch card. Desert Hills' 10-play walking card ($500, Jan-Mar) is $50 a round; its 10-play cart card is $150, valid all year. Coyote Wash's transferable 10-play card with cart is $600, or $60 a round against the $70 maximum. Butterfield's 10-round card was $220 for 18 holes, or $22 a round.
  4. Check GolfNow Hot Deals. Mesa del Sol showed a $19.99 Hot Deal for Oct 30, 2026 and a $43.99 one for Oct 29, with cart. The Mesa del Sol course guide explains its dynamic pricing.
  5. Use your service rate. Las Barrancas charges active or retired military, law enforcement, first responders, firefighters, Homeland Security and Border Patrol $50 with cart in season, and Foothills Executive $25.
  6. Bring the kids to Wellton. At Coyote Wash and Butterfield, golfers 17 and under play free.
  7. Go in summer if you can take it. The last official Desert Hills summer table (July to October 2024) was $49 with a cart and $30 walking before 11 AM. Read Yuma summer golf before you book.

Costs people forget in a Yuma golf trip budget

  • Taxes. Most hotel rates above are before tax; the Coronado's OYO page showed about $7 to $8 of tax on a $70 to $82 room.
  • Parking. Homewood Suites charged $5.12 a day.
  • Utilities. Westwind adds metered electricity and $60 a month for water, sewer and trash on monthly stays; Fortuna de Oro bills electric on top of its monthly rate.
  • Practice. Range balls at Desert Hills are $6 for 30; a Trackman bay at Las Barrancas is $20 for 30 minutes; Coyote Wash is $8 for 32 balls.
  • Getting there. Phoenix to Yuma round trips on American Eagle were about $470 to $520 in January, which is why most people drive the 189 miles from Phoenix. Nonstop round trips into Phoenix started at CA$211 from Vancouver, CA$241 from Calgary and CA$248 from Edmonton on sample dates (Canadian dollars). See flights to Yuma.

A month instead of a week

Staying longer cuts the nightly cost sharply if you have an RV. Monthly rates seen October 2026: Caravan Oasis from $605 for a Regular lot plus $20 a month for water, sewer and trash and metered electricity at $0.15 per kWh; Cocopah Bend $705 plus electricity; Sun Vista $863 plus electric; Westwind $900 from January to April plus utilities. Utilities and tax rules differ by park, so compare the full monthly bill, not just the headline rate.

When a pass beats paying per round

For a stay of a month or more, a course pass can beat green fees. Mesa del Sol's 2026-27 6-month individual pass is $3,500, including cart, range and tax; at $55 a round it pays off after about 64 rounds. The Coyote Wash season pass is $2,500 single for October to April 30. Our Yuma golf passes guide runs the numbers for each one. For a group trip instead, see the Yuma buddies golf trip.

Plan it on the map

Every course, hotel and RV park in this Yuma golf trip budget is on the Yuma 3D map, with the rates seen in October 2026 and routed drive times. The $30 plan can build a week around the cheapest tee times for your dates, or a whole winter stay with a weekly rotation and the passes that fit it.
