Cheap golf in Yuma starts at about $9 to $20 a round if you play short courses, walk, or tee off late. Desert Hills, Arroyo Dunes and the Foothills Par 3 are the low-price anchors, and the live tee sheets at Mesa del Sol, Las Barrancas and Foothills Executive drop well below their posted rates in the afternoon.

This guide to cheap golf in Yuma sorts every discount we could confirm: twilight and late-day rates, nine-hole prices, GolfNow Hot Deals, cart cards and punch cards. Prices were seen in October 2026 and change through the season, so treat them as a guide and check the course before you go. There is no Yuma-wide discount card; every deal below belongs to one course.

Twilight and late-day rates

Yuma's best discounts come after lunch, and at the full-length courses a late tee time is the easiest way to pay less. The rate pages list one twilight price, but the live tee sheets often go lower, so always check online before you pay rack.

  • Mesa del Sol prices in steps through the day. In late October 2026 weekday 18-hole rates with cart were $55 in the morning, $50 late morning, $45 from 1 PM and $35 from 2 PM. Weekends dropped to $40 from about 12:30 PM. The course uses dynamic pricing, so rates move with demand.
  • Las Barrancas posts $55 from 3 PM, but its tee sheet for Saturday Oct 24, 2026 showed $35 from 3:00 to 4:20 PM and $25 for later times, against a $65 rack rate.
  • Foothills Executive posts $30 from 3 PM for its nine, and the live sheet showed $15 for the last eight starts of the day (to about 4 PM) on several late-October dates.
  • Desert Hills charges $49 with cart or $40 walking after 1 PM in January to March. In November and December 2025 the same slot was $40 or $25.

Winter sunset is around 5:30 PM, so a late start is a race with the light. Nine holes is often the smarter buy. Our Las Barrancas course guide and Mesa del Sol course guide have the full rate detail.

Nine-hole and par-3 golf

Short courses are the cheapest golf in Yuma all winter:

  • Arroyo Dunes Par 3 (18 holes, par 54, 2,174 yards): $30 ride or $20 walk for 18 and $20 or $10 for nine in January to March. It reopened in December 2025 after new irrigation.
  • Foothills Par 3 (nine holes, par 27): $20 for nine, $25 with a cart on the live sheet, and $20 night golf under lights Tuesday to Saturday.
  • Foothills Executive (nine holes, par 34): $35 posted, $15 at the end of the day.
  • Desert Hills nine-hole rate: $49 ride or $40 walk in January to March, offered only on the early back nine or after 2 PM.
  • Butterfield in Wellton (18 holes, par 54): $30 before 1 PM and $24 after, or $23 and $21 for nine, on the latest posted FY 2025-26 sheet. The 2026-27 sheet was not posted, so prices may have risen.

GolfNow Hot Deals

Hot Deals are prepaid times on GolfNow, often well below rack. On October 23, 2026, Mesa del Sol had Hot Deals at $19.99 (Oct 30, 8:15 AM) and $43.99 (Oct 29, 8:37 AM) for 18 with cart. GolfNow shows only about a week ahead, while Mesa del Sol's own page shows two weeks. Desert Hills also sells on GolfNow; one June 2026 Hot Deal showed $33.04 for 18 with cart, and some listings carry a non-refundable $10 deposit.

Cart cards and punch cards

If you play several rounds, a card is the steadiest saving. These are the published ones:

Course Card Price Per round
Desert Hills10-play walking green-fee card (Jan-Mar)$500$50
Desert Hills10-play green fee + cart (Jan-Mar)$650$65
Desert Hills10-play cart card (all year)$150$15 cart
Coyote Wash10-play transferable card with cart (FY 2026-27)$600$60
Coyote Wash10-play with private cart$550$55
Butterfield10-round card, 18 holes (FY 2025-26)$220$22
Butterfield10-round card, 9 holes (FY 2025-26)$190$19

The Desert Hills walking rate is not valid with a cart card. The Coyote Wash and Butterfield cards are transferable, so a group can share one. For season-long passes, see our guide to Yuma golf passes.

Cheap golf in Yuma, season by season

January to March (peak)

Rack rates are at their highest. Walk Desert Hills ($55 before 11 AM, saving $20 on the $75 cart rate), play the par 3s, and use punch cards. Coyote Wash, about 40 minutes east of downtown (25 from the Foothills), has a maximum rate of $70 with cart and is the backup when town is busy.

April and May (shoulder)

The last archived Desert Hills spring table (April-May 2025) was $65 ride or $45 walk before 11 AM and $45 or $25 after 1 PM. Las Barrancas counts April as in season (its season runs to April 30).

May to September (summer)

Golf is cheapest and hottest. The last official Desert Hills summer table (July-October 2024) was $49 ride or $30 walk before 11 AM and $35 or $20 from 1 to 4 PM. Play 12 rounds at Desert Hills between June 1 and September 30 and you earn the Beat the Heat card ($20 fee), which drops every round one rate tier for the rest of the year. Our Yuma summer golf guide explains how to play the heat.

October to December (fall)

Most courses close for overseed in October; Mesa del Sol does not, and its stepped afternoon rates stay on sale. Desert Hills' November-December 2025 table was $65 ride or $45 walk in the morning; the 2026 table was not posted as of October 23, 2026.

Where Yuma's cheapest courses are

The low-price courses sit in three clusters, so where you stay decides which deals are easy to use. Drive times are from downtown Yuma:

Area Courses Drive from downtown
TownDesert Hills, Arroyo Dunes Par 3About 9-11 min
Fortuna FoothillsMesa del Sol, Las Barrancas, Foothills Executive, Foothills Par 3About 21-28 min
WelltonCoyote Wash, ButterfieldAbout 39-41 min east on I-8 (about 25-28 from the Foothills)

A town base puts the Desert Hills walking rates and the Arroyo Dunes par 3 ten minutes away. A Foothills base puts the late-day rates at Mesa del Sol and Las Barrancas, the $15 Foothills Executive starts and the $20 par 3 within a few minutes of each other. Our guide to Fortuna Foothills golf covers that area, and where to stay in Yuma for golf compares bases.

Other ways to pay less

  • Service member rates: Las Barrancas charges military, law enforcement, first responders, firefighters, Homeland Security and Border Patrol $50 with cart in season and $30 in summer. Foothills Executive charges $25 and $15.
  • Juniors: Coyote Wash and Butterfield are free for 17 and under. Las Barrancas juniors (15-17) pay $10.
  • Walk: Desert Hills allows walking at all times with its own lower rates.

For a full trip cost, our Yuma golf trip budget adds lodging and food, and Yuma golf rates lists every course's seasonal prices. If you are comparing towns, cheap golf in Mesquite runs the same numbers for Nevada.
