Map of the courses in this guide: St. George Golf Hotels Compared: 26 Places to Stay, From Black Desert to the I-15 Chains

The best St. George golf hotels depend on which courses you book. Black Desert Resort in Ivins and The Inn at Entrada put you on (or inside) a top-five Utah course, Sand Hollow Resort's condos in Hurricane are 3 minutes from its Championship course, and the chain hotels around the Dixie Center along I-15 are 4 to 7 minutes from the St. George city courses. Rates below were seen in October 2026 and change constantly.

This guide ranks the 26 hotels on our map by what matters on a golf trip: nightly rate, guest rating, any real golf perk, and the estimated drive to the nearest tee. Drive times are estimates, not live traffic times, so treat them as close but not exact. If you have not yet decided which part of town to stay in, start with where to stay for golf in St. George, which compares the areas.

How to choose a St. George golf hotel

Southern Utah golf is spread out. From downtown St. George it is about 7 minutes to Dixie Red Hills but 32 minutes to Sand Hollow and 36 to Copper Rock. Pick the hotel after you pick the courses, not before.

A simple rule:

  • Two or more rounds at one resort course? Stay there. The guest rates and booking windows usually pay for the extra room cost.
  • Mixing city courses with one big-name round? Stay central, near I-15 exits 6 to 8.
  • Mostly Sand Hollow, Sky Mountain, Copper Rock and Coral Canyon? Stay on the east side, in Washington or Hurricane.

If you are still picking courses, start with our St. George golf trip guide, which also covers the best courses.

Golf resorts in Washington County: sleep next to the first tee

Black Desert Resort (Ivins)

Black Desert Resort is the premium choice: typically about $400 to $450+ a night (seen October 2026) before a 15% resort fee, plus a deposit and paid parking ($15 a day self-park, $25 valet, per the resort's FAQ). It rates 4.2/5 on Tripadvisor. The offers page showed 25% off the room rate for stays of 3+ nights when checked.

The golf perk is real. On the 2026 rate card, resort guests paid $250 (Jan 2 to Mar 12) or $325 (Mar 13 to Jul 6 and Sep 4 to Jan 1, 2027) to play the Black Desert course, against $325 or $450 for everyone else. That is $75 to $125 saved per round. The fee includes cart, forecaddie, on-course food and soft drinks. The resort fee covers the range and a 2-acre, 36-hole putting course (reservation required) that is lit for night use. The course is 2 minutes away, Entrada 5, Dixie Red Hills 11. See the Black Desert course guide.

Watch-outs from reviews: unfinished construction phases and service growing pains. The course also closes each fall for the PGA TOUR event (September 14 to October 6 in 2026).

The Inn at Entrada (St. George, Snow Canyon side)

The Inn at Entrada is the only way a visitor gets onto private Entrada at Snow Canyon, the David McLay Kidd rebuild ranked #5 in Utah by Golf Digest (2025-26). The hotel arranges tee times when you book direct. No nightly rate or guest green fee is published; call the golf shop.

Rooms run from studios to 3- to 5-bedroom casitas, 83 bedrooms in all, each with its own bathroom. Trip.com reviewers give it 9.6/10 (40 reviews). Expect a resort fee by unit size ($20 a night for a studio up to $50 for a 4- or 5-bedroom casita). Cancellation is strict: inside 14 days you pay the full stay. A fall 2026 offer took 20% off stays through November 25 with code SAVE20. Black Desert is 3 minutes away.

Sand Hollow Resort (Hurricane)

Sand Hollow Resort is villas, condos and homes 3 minutes from the Sand Hollow Championship course, the 9-hole Links and the Wee pitch-and-putt. No reliable nightly rate was found. The Stay & Play code STAY&PLAY (2-night minimum) takes 10% off lodging and 20% off Championship and Links green fees (not twilight), and lodgers can book tee times up to a year out (the public gets 180 days). The resort also lists a shuttle to any local course.

It rates 3.8/5 on Tripadvisor. Units are individually owned, so finishes vary. OTA listings show a resort fee (about $9.99 per suite, $19.98 per condo a night), a cleaning fee on condos and a $250 deposit. It is 27 to 41 minutes to the St. George courses.

The Ledges vacation rentals (St. George)

The Ledges of St. George Vacation Rentals are 3- to 7-bedroom homes and villas a minute from The Ledges. Rates are by quote only. Book your tee times through the rental office and morning rounds are $10 off per player; it also builds custom stay-and-play packages. It sits on the north edge of town, about 15 minutes to central St. George.

On-course chain hotels at Green Spring in Washington

Two Marriott properties sit beside Green Spring Golf Course in Washington:

  • SpringHill Suites St. George Washington: built on the course, 3 minutes by car. Seen at about $120 to $200 a night (October 2026 snapshots). Tripadvisor 4.4 via a third-party listing; Hotels.com 9.6/10. Free breakfast, all-suite. The freeway side can be noisy, so ask for a course-side room.
  • Residence Inn St. George: new in 2025, full kitchens in every suite, golf-course-view suites and a lazy river, 2 minutes from Green Spring. A June snapshot converted to about $100 to $115; no peak rate or rating verified yet.

Green Spring's Gene Bates layout carries the canyon holes on 5 and 6, and Coral Canyon is 9 to 11 minutes from either hotel. More on this side of town in Washington, Utah golf.

Central St. George: the I-15 hotel cluster

These are the workhorse St. George golf hotels. They sit near the Dixie Center, 4 to 7 minutes from Southgate and St. George Golf Club. Rates are Kayak's 12-month averages seen October 2026: February is usually the dearest month, December the cheapest.

  • Best Western Plus Abbey Inn has a free hot breakfast and a Monday to Thursday "Unwind Hour" with a free beer or wine.
  • Hilton Garden Inn, Fairfield Inn and Courtyard are named as lodging partners in a third-party listing of Sunbrook Golf Club's stay-and-play package (prices on inquiry; not confirmed with the hotels).
  • The Advenire is the walkable downtown pick, but parking is valet only ($22 a day, official), awkward with golf bags in an SUV, and rooms have no fridge.
  • Hampton SunRiver is the right base for SunRiver, but far from Sand Hollow (29 minutes).

Fairfield Inn (free breakfast, rooms that sleep six), Courtyard (Expedia 9.4, renovation through late 2026) and TownePlace Suites (kitchens, two-bedroom suites) had no published rate when checked.

East side: Washington, Coral Canyon and Hurricane

Mesquite hotels for a two-state trip

Splitting the trip with Nevada? The Mesquite hotels are cheap and close to the courses:
