Phoenix golf passes come in three types: the city's Phoenix Golf Card for the municipal courses, players cards sold by course groups such as Arcis, Talking Stick and Legend Trail, and resident or season rates at single clubs. For 2026-27 they cost $60 to $360 a year, and the right one depends on the courses nearest your base.

This guide compares each pass the files name: price, courses, booking edge and blackouts, with worked savings where rate sheets were published. Prices were seen November 3, 2026; check terms before you buy.

Validity for the course-group cards is October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027 unless noted; the Dove Valley card runs through October 31, 2027.

The Phoenix Golf Card

The city card is the cheapest pass in the Valley and the only one that covers the municipal courses. Maricopa County residents pay $60 the first year and $40 to renew; non-residents pay $120 a year; a Senior card for 62 and over lowers rates again. It is valid at every City of Phoenix course plus the partnership courses Papago and GCU, though the city rewards program and Junior Golf Pass do not apply at those two.

What it saves, from the city sheets read November 2026:

Course (Oct-Dec 2026, walking, before 1pm) Public weekday / weekend Golf Card weekday / weekend Senior card
Aguila$69 / $74$49 / $51$46 / $48
Cave Creek$60 / $65$46 / $48$42 / $45
Encanto$61 / $66$47 / $49$43 / $46
Palo Verde (9 holes, all day)$25 / $27$19 / $21$18 / $20

Carts are extra ($18 for 18 holes). At Aguila, a resident card holder saves $20 on a weekday round, so the $60 card pays for itself in three rounds. The files do not say whether non-resident holders get the same card rates, so ask the pro shop before buying the $120 card. Papago honours the card, but its discount was not captured. The card also gives a booking edge: 10-14 days online for a convenience fee, against 9 days for the public. See Phoenix municipal golf courses, the Papago golf course guide and the Aguila course guide.

The Arcis Players' Card

At $279, the Arcis card gives 20% or more off daily rates at eight Phoenix-area courses, 8-day booking, one bonus round, a monthly guest pass for three, and select play days at Grayhawk. Bonus-round blackouts are November 25-29, 2026, December 26, 2026 to January 1, 2027, and February 10-14, 2027. Ocotillo's own listing shows a $109 annual fee for the card, which does not match the $279 on the card's site; confirm the current price.

It suits a snowbird whose base is near two or three of its courses: McDowell Mountain in north Scottsdale, Ocotillo in Chandler or Superstition Springs in east Mesa. See the McDowell Mountain course guide.

The Talking Stick Card

The cheapest players card in the files at $129 plus tax. It gives dynamic card rates for the holder plus one guest, booking 3 days out at card rates, one free round (blacked out Monday to Wednesday before 10am), 20% off food and drink and 15% off merchandise. Talking Stick O'odham is 15 minutes from Old Town, so this is the obvious card for a central Scottsdale base. The booking page also has an AZ Resident rate category; the amount was not shown. See the Talking Stick O'odham course guide and our Talking Stick Golf Club guide.

Legend Trail and the Dove Valley Loyalty Card

Legend Trail's 2027 Loyalty Card is $349 plus tax, sold in the golf shop only from October 1, 2026: a lowest-rate guarantee of up to 50% off green fees, every 10th round free, 7-day booking and up to three guests at $10 over the card rate. Its annual passes ($29 access fee May-October, $39 November-April) are sold out for 2027, and paid green fees carry a $5 surcharge.

The $360 Loyalty Card at Dove Valley Ranch is shared with Power Ranch and Longbow, valid through October 31, 2027. It fixes rates for the season for the whole foursome, returns 10% in points, and adds free range balls on play days and 30-day booking. Dove Valley's green fees were in an image and not captured.

Arizona resident and local rates

  • We-Ko-Pa: the Arizona ID rate needs every player to show an Arizona driver's licence or ID, booked 7 days or less ahead: $179 against the $239 resort rate from October 23 to January 7, $239 against $329 from January 8 to February 8, and $74 against $109 in summer.
  • Quintero: AZ resident rates of $144 to $178 against $162 to $199 for the public.
  • Ken McDonald (Tempe) and Dobson Ranch (Mesa): city resident rates; Dobson Ranch's was listed at $30 (undated).
  • Trilogy at Vistancia: Vistancia residents 10% and Trilogy residents 20% off the public rate.

Which pass to buy

  • Central Scottsdale base: Talking Stick Card, plus the Swing First card if you will play Scottsdale Country Club.
  • North Scottsdale or Cave Creek: Legend Trail or the Dove Valley Loyalty Card.
  • East Mesa or Chandler: Arcis, for Superstition Springs and Ocotillo.
  • Maricopa County resident or long-stay renter: the Phoenix Golf Card first; it is the cheapest to recover.
