Thanksgiving and Christmas golf in Mesquite is very doable: most courses stay open through both holidays, but a few dates are blocked. CasaBlanca showed no online times on Thanksgiving (November 26, 2026), Palms none on December 20 and 25, and the Nevada Open blocks both courses from November 3 to 7. Winter rates were $109 to $155 at most courses, seen October 2026.
All prices and tee-sheet gaps below were read from each course's online booking engine on October 23, 2026. Holiday hours can change late, so confirm with the shop.

"No closure listed" means our course records and the booking pages read on October 23 did not show one, not that the course has confirmed it will be open. For Wolf Creek, Oasis and Falcon Ridge, call the shop before you build a holiday morning around a tee time.
CasaBlanca and Palms
CasaBlanca and Palms are both Mesquite Gaming courses on the same booking engine, and they carry most of the holiday blocks. Early November belongs to the Nevada Open (final round at CasaBlanca) and the II-Man Fall. CasaBlanca's Gobbler Classic falls on Sunday, November 22, and Thanksgiving had no online times. In December, CasaBlanca hosts Swing with Santa on Sunday, December 20, the same day Palms showed no times, and Palms was also dark online on Christmas Day. Conestoga
Conestoga is the hardest holiday booking in town. Its 2026 rate sheet shows 10 AM shotgun starts from November 22 to December 31, and on October 23 the live sheet showed only a few open public times around 10 AM between November 26 and December 16, priced at $287, with many November and December days showing nothing. Coyote Springs
Coyote Springs had bookable GolfNow times on every day from October 24, 2026 through January 21, 2027, Thanksgiving and Christmas included. It is about an hour southwest of Mesquite (Google gave 54 minutes) with nothing much nearby, so plan the drive and eat at Mitch's Bar & Grill.

Thanksgiving week is the hinge of the season: CasaBlanca, Palms and Falcon Ridge have all dropped to winter prices, but Oasis holds its fall rate through November 28 and Coyote Springs through November 29. December is the cheap month for the full set. Falcon Ridge's afternoon tiers, Oasis Palmer and Oasis Canyons at $105 from noon, and Palms at $109 are the best value. At Wolf Creek, last season's $200 winter rack ran from December 8; check whether this season's has posted before you book.
Shotgun starts, split tees and frost
Holiday-season golf in Mesquite is mid-morning golf. Normal December lows near Mesquite are about 32F, so frost can hold the first tee times. Several courses also run fixed winter starts:
- Conestoga: 10 AM shotgun starts from November 22 to December 31.
- CasaBlanca: a 10:00 AM block and a 3:06 PM shotgun-start block.
- Palms: a 10:00 AM block and, on some days, a 3:06 PM block.
- Wolf Creek: split-tee starts in winter, so a frost delay moves everyone back.
A holiday golf checklist
- Book the course you care most about the day its window opens, then fill in around it.
- Check for event blocks before you lock flights: the Mesquite Gaming courses carry most of them.
- Expect a mid-morning start and dress in layers; the gap between a December low and high is close to 30 degrees.
- Confirm cancellation rules before a family trip that might change: Oasis and Falcon Ridge want 24 hours' notice, Wolf Creek, Conestoga and Coyote Springs 48 hours.
- In winter, Palms and the other Arizona-side spots are one hour ahead of Mesquite, so confirm which clock your tee time uses.

NOAA 1991-2020 normals for Beaver Dam, Arizona, about 8 miles from Mesquite. November's normal high is 71.8F, so Thanksgiving week is usually mild; December brings low-60s afternoons, frosty mornings and short days. Mesquite runs several degrees warmer than St. George in winter.
Holiday crowds and Las Vegas
- F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix: November 19 to 21, 2026, the week before Thanksgiving. Strip road closures and very high Las Vegas hotel rates; allow extra time from LAS to I-15.
- National Finals Rodeo: December 3 to 12, 2026. One of Las Vegas's biggest hotel weeks; some rodeo visitors stay in Mesquite, so casino hotels can be busier in early December.
- School break: Washington County, Utah schools are off from December 21, 2026 to January 1, 2027, so expect family traffic up and down I-15.
- New Year's Eve: a top hotel night on the Las Vegas Strip. Mesquite tee sheets stay lighter than in spring because of the cool weather.
- CES: January 6 to 9, 2027 in Las Vegas, if your trip runs past New Year.
Rest days: Valley of Fire and Zion over the holidays
Valley of Fire State Park closes to all visitors every year from December 1 to December 14 for maintenance, so plan it for Thanksgiving week or the second half of December. It is about 1 hour 10 minutes from Mesquite and $15 per non-Nevada vehicle.
Zion's shuttle runs until November 28, has no service from November 29 to December 25 (private cars are generally allowed on the Scenic Drive then), and runs again from December 26 to January 2, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Where to stay over the holidays
On the official calendars, December 2026 was $102.09 Sunday to Thursday and $125.49 to $134.49 on Fridays and Saturdays at CasaBlanca Resort, and $46.80 Sunday to Thursday and $66.60 to $111.60 on Fridays and Saturdays at Virgin River Casino & Lodge, before tax. CasaBlanca's outdoor pool runs 10 AM to 4 PM from November 1, with cabanas from $50 a day in winter.

Are Mesquite golf courses open on Thanksgiving?
Most are, but not all. CasaBlanca showed no online tee times on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026. Coyote Springs had bookable GolfNow times every day from October 24, 2026 to January 21, 2027. The other courses do not list a Thanksgiving closure, so confirm with the shop.
Can you golf in Mesquite on Christmas Day?
Palms showed no online times on December 25, 2026, and also none on December 20. Coyote Springs, about an hour away, had GolfNow times every day through January 21, 2027, which includes Christmas Day. The other courses don't publish a Christmas rule, so call ahead.
What golf tournaments block tee times in Mesquite in November and December?
The Nevada Open (November 3 to 5, 2026) and the II-Man Fall (November 6 to 8) left no public times at CasaBlanca and Palms from November 3 to 7. CasaBlanca also hosts the Gobbler Classic on November 22 and Swing with Santa on December 20.
How much is golf in Mesquite over the holidays?

The park is listed as open daily from sunrise to sunset, and its published winter closure is December 1 to 14, when it shuts to all visitors for maintenance. Plan a Valley of Fire rest day for Thanksgiving week or after December 14.
Does the Zion shuttle run at Christmas?
There is no Zion Canyon shuttle from November 29 to December 25, 2026, when private cars are generally allowed on the Scenic Drive. The shuttle runs again from December 26 to January 2, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and the drive is closed to private cars while it runs.
When do Christmas week tee times open in Mesquite?
For December 25, 2026: CasaBlanca and Palms opened about August 27 (120 days), Falcon Ridge about September 26 (90 days), Oasis about October 26 (60 days), Conestoga about October 31 (55 days) and Coyote Willows about November 25 (30 days).
