Las Vegas to Mesquite golf: adding two or three days up I-15 to a Vegas trip

A Las Vegas to Mesquite golf side trip adds two or three days of cheaper rooms and quieter tee sheets 86 miles up I-15, about 92 minutes from the Strip by router. Mesquite is on the same Pacific clock, Wolf Creek is the round to drive for, and Coyote Springs makes an optional stop. A car is close to essential.

This guide is for golfers already planning a Las Vegas trip who want to bolt on a Mesquite leg. It covers the drive, which Mesquite courses to play and what they cost in fall 2026, where to stay, the Coyote Springs stop and when not to go. • Distance: 85.8 miles, 92 minutes free-flow from the Strip at Flamingo Rd; Google gave 1 hr 23 min from Caesars Palace (October 2026).
• Clock: Pacific Time in both; Palms Golf Club in Littlefield, AZ is an hour ahead in winter.
• Headliner: Wolf Creek, $360 weekday and $390 weekend mornings in fall 2026.
• Cheaper rounds: CasaBlanca $130 to $160, Palms $109 to $134, Oasis $130 to $190 (fall 2026).
• Rooms: Virgin River $52.20 on a November Tuesday with no resort fee; CasaBlanca $111.09 plus a $12.99 fee.

The drive: Las Vegas to Mesquite on I-15

Free-flow router times. Google Maps gave 1 hour 23 minutes and 85.5 miles from Caesars Palace on the afternoon of Friday, October 23, 2026, including a 9-minute slowdown on I-15 north. The slow part is the urban stretch through Las Vegas, especially the Spaghetti Bowl interchange with US-95 at weekday rush hours. After the north valley it is open desert past Moapa and the Valley of Fire turnoff, and services are sparse, so start with fuel and water in summer.

Allow extra time on Friday and Sunday afternoons and in big Las Vegas event weeks: SEMA (November 3-6, 2026), the Grand Prix (November 19-21, 2026), the National Finals Rodeo (December 3-12, 2026) and CES (January 6-9, 2027).

Which Mesquite courses to play

Prices seen October 23, 2026 on each course's booking engine; most 2027 peak prices were not posted. Wolf Creek is the round worth the drive; if your group plays only one Mesquite course, make it that one, from tees it can handle (the Champions tees are 6,153 yards at 71.1/140). Where to stay in Mesquite

Official booking engines read October 23, 2026, before tax; Eureka from Kayak. Compare that with the Strip, where resort fees alone run about $51 to $62 a night at the MGM, Caesars and Wynn properties before the room rate (third-party tracker, November 2026), and many Strip hotels also charge for parking. Coyote Springs: a round on the way

Coyote Springs is a Jack Nicklaus Signature course in open desert north of the valley, 67 minutes from the Strip by router. Mesquite is about 54 minutes and 55.5 miles from it by Google Maps, by NV-168 and I-15, so a group with a car can play it on the travel day.

• Fall 2026 (GolfNow): $123 to $214 with cart, late October to November 29.
• Winter: flat $119 Monday to Thursday, $130 Friday and Sunday, $137 Saturday, November 30, 2026 to January 21, 2027.
• Replay: $50 after a full-rate morning round (6:30 to 10:00 a.m. tee times).
• Tees: Black 7,471 yards at 76.8/149; Blue 6,807 at 72.8/144; White 6,215 at 70.6/139.
• Overseed: none; the course is rye and bentgrass all year, so it stays open in September.

A Las Vegas to Mesquite golf trip, day by day

A simple five-day plan for a group with a car:

The airport is in Las Vegas, so the last day needs the drive back: about 97 minutes from Mesquite to the airport's rental car center by router, with no traffic. Without a car

The Salt Lake Express shuttle runs from Harry Reid airport, Terminal 1, Zero Level, Courtesy Shuttle Zone, to CasaBlanca in Mesquite. On Tuesday, October 27, 2026 it showed 10 departures each way, 1 hour 25 minutes, $33 to $41 one-way. CasaBlanca Golf Club is on the resort property, but the other courses need a car. When to go, and when not to

• October and November: after overseed; peak rates in both towns.
• February to April: the spring peak.
• December and January: frosty mornings and mid-morning tee times; CasaBlanca runs a 10:00 a.m. block in winter.
• Mid-September: Mesquite's 18-hole courses close in turn for overseed (Wolf Creek August 30 to October 2, Conestoga August 30 to September 30, Falcon Ridge September 7 to October 3, Oasis Palmer September 14 to October 6, in 2026).
