North Las Vegas golf, with the northwest valley and the Paiute resort up US-95, gives you Aliante, guest-only Shadow Creek, Painted Desert, the Durango Hills executive course and three Pete Dye courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort. Most are 21 to 26 minutes from the Strip; Paiute is 37 to 38. The Wolf is the hardest public course on our map.
This guide covers each course on the north side, how far it is from the Strip and from the nearest hotels, what the files show for fees, and which north-side courses have closed. Fees are sparse here, so where a rate is not published, we say so.

Aliante Golf Club
Aliante is a public daily-fee course in North Las Vegas, a Gary Panks design over 7,000 yards from the back tees, with online booking on the club site. Fees, tees and 2026 overseed dates were not captured. Aliante Casino + Hotel is 2 minutes away, with a $40.67 resort fee in November 2026, which makes it a quiet north-side base far from the Strip. See the Aliante course guide.
Shadow Creek
Shadow Creek sits in North Las Vegas but plays like nowhere else in the valley: Tom Fazio and Steve Wynn built pine-framed parkland with streams, lakes and waterfalls on flat desert in 1989, and no houses or desert are visible from play. Access is the catch. You must be staying at an MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotel, and you book through the concierge or casino host. The fee was $1,250 per player in 2026, with a limousine from your hotel. See the Shadow Creek golf guide.
Painted Desert and Durango Hills
Painted Desert is a 1987 Jay Morrish desert-target course, the city's original desert-style layout, public seven days a week under Arcis Golf. It has a grass and mat range, chipping and bunker area and putting green. Nevada residents book on a separate site; amounts are not published.
Durango Hills is a 2002 Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley executive course of 14 par 3s and four par 4s, par 58, with holes from 124 to 400 yards. Yardage sources conflict (3,777 vs 3,103). GolfLink showed $38.49 to $61.49 for 18 holes on October 16, 2026. It suits a warm-up, a late-day round or a mixed-ability group. See the Durango Hills course guide.
Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
The Las Vegas Paiute Tribe owns three Pete Dye courses on tribal land off US-95, with pot bunkers and railroad ties under the Spring Mountains.
- Snow Mountain, opened 1995, is the original and the friendliest.
- Sun Mountain sits between the other two in difficulty; its opening year conflicts across sources.
- Wolf, opened 2001, is the longest and hardest at 7,604 yards and 76.3/149.
Non-residents book on the resort's EZLinks site. Clark County residents with a Nevada ID or seasonal resident ID get resident rates within a 7-day window; booking outside it pays rack rate. Cancel 48 hours ahead. The site announced a fall maintenance schedule but no 2026 overseed dates. With three courses in one place, it makes an easy 36-hole day. See the Paiute Wolf course guide and the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort guide.
The lit par-3 nine
The North Las Vegas Golf Course is a city-run, lighted nine-hole par-3 with mature trees and disc golf on the same site; call 702-633-1833 for tee times. Listings put last tee times around 7 pm in fall and winter and 8 to 8:30 pm in spring and summer. It closes at 107F or above, 43F or below, or in winds over 25 mph. A 2024 review reported a $9 fee, and an April 2025 review noted the 9th hole under construction for road work; 2026 operation was confirmed only by directories.
Military golf at Nellis
Sunrise Vista on Nellis Air Force Base is run by the 99th Force Support Squadron for active duty, retirees, Defense Department civilians and their sponsored guests, with base access required. Green Fee Tracker listed $39 in April 2026. It is not open to the general public.
Closed north-side courses
Craig Ranch closed in 2009 and the city turned it into Craig Ranch Regional Park, opened in 2013. Silverstone, a 27-hole course in the northwest, has been closed since September 2015; it was sold at auction in 2025 with no reopening announced. Neither has a tee sheet. See closed golf courses in Las Vegas.

Hitchin' Post has 196 full-hookup sites, a putting green and hitting cage, with guides quoting about $560 to $565 a month (undated). See Las Vegas RV parks and where to stay in Las Vegas for golf.
A north-side golf day
Play the Paiute Wolf in the morning and Snow Mountain after lunch, base at Santa Fe Station, and keep a Durango Hills or Painted Desert round for arrival day. Mesquite is further up I-15 if you want a second leg; see Las Vegas golf day trip to Mesquite. Every valley course is listed in Las Vegas golf courses, and the summer heat plan is in Las Vegas summer golf.
