Green-fee ranges: Planning a Las Vegas buddies golf trip for 4 to 16 players

A Las Vegas buddies golf trip works best with one base, two-course facilities for the 36-hole days, and tee times booked as a block the day your dates are fixed. The Strip suits groups who want nightlife and the guest-only rounds; Henderson suits groups who want the most golf for the least driving. Budget for resort fees, tips and cancellation rules as well as green fees.

Below: bases, the courses that handle groups well, group booking rules, house-rental law, a sample budget and how to split a group of eight to sixteen. Prices were seen in 2026 and change.

Quick facts

  • Group courses: the Revere (2 courses), Angel Park (2 plus a lit short course), Las Vegas Paiute (3).
  • Cancellation: 72 hours at the Revere, 48 hours at Reflection Bay and Paiute.
  • No-show rule: the Revere may charge 50% if under 75% of a group shows.
  • House rentals: under 31 nights needs a licensed property in unincorporated Clark County.
  • Rewards: Caesars Rewards tier discounts at Cascata and Serket for up to three guests.
  • Best nights: Sunday to Thursday; Friday and Saturday are the dearest.

Henderson course times are from Green Valley Ranch and Summerlin times from Red Rock Casino. For a group that will split rooms, the Venetian's all-suite rooms split well, though it has no golf perks and a $62.36 resort fee. In Henderson, Green Valley Ranch puts Serket 10 minutes and the Revere 12 minutes away. Full comparisons are in where to stay in Las Vegas for golf.

Courses that handle groups well

Two- and three-course facilities let a group of eight or more split across courses at the same time, or play 36 in a day without moving the car:

  • The Revere in Anthem: Lexington and Concord, $83.99-$148.99 with cart on GolfNow in October 2026, 10% off prepaid, Buckman's Grille and luggage storage. See the Revere Lexington course guide.
  • Las Vegas Paiute: Wolf, Snow Mountain and Sun Mountain, three Pete Dye courses 37-38 minutes from the Strip. Snow Mountain is the friendliest, Wolf the hardest (76.3 / slope 149 from 7,604 yards). See the Paiute Wolf course guide.
  • Angel Park in Summerlin: the Mountain and Palm Palmer courses plus Cloud Nine, a 12-hole short course with nine holes lit for an evening session.

The splurge round: Cascata includes a cart, practice and a forecaddie per group (suggested tip $40 a player). Pair it with Serket on the Double Down, from $750 in fall 2026 for one round at each within five days. See the Cascata course guide.

The guest-only rounds: Shadow Creek is $1,250 a player in 2026 for MGM hotel guests only, with a limo from the hotel. Wynn Golf Club is built and priced for guests of Wynn Las Vegas and Encore, with press reports of $450-$1,000.

The close-to-the-Strip round: Bali Hai is 7 minutes from the Strip, typically $250-$300 in season, with a tiki bar after the round.

Booking tee times for a big group

  1. Book the block early. Few courses publish a visitor window, so book as soon as each tee sheet shows your dates.
  2. Read the no-show rule. At the Revere, cancel 72 hours ahead to avoid a fee, and if under 75% of a group shows, 50% of the green fee may be charged.
  3. Watch 48-hour policies. Reflection Bay charges the card inside 48 hours; the Paiute resort has a 48-hour policy too.
  4. Use rewards tiers. At Cascata and Serket, Caesars Rewards members get tier discounts for themselves and up to three guests, so the highest-tier player in each foursome books.
  5. Keep Shadow Creek midweek. Several 2026 guides say paying guests are mostly placed Monday to Thursday (unconfirmed by MGM).

Renting a house for the group: the rules

A big house looks ideal for twelve golfers, but the rules are strict. Clark County Code Enforcement states it is illegal to rent a residential property for fewer than 31 days in unincorporated Clark County (which includes the Strip corridor, Paradise, Enterprise, Spring Valley and Summerlin South) without a short-term rental business licence. Henderson requires short-term rentals to be registered with an annual fee and a 24/7 local contact, and many Henderson master-planned communities reportedly ban rentals under 30 days through their HOA rules. City of Las Vegas rules were not checked. Only book a house whose manager can show the licence; otherwise, adjoining hotel rooms or suites are the safer plan.

Splitting a group of 12 to 16

  • Same facility, different courses: two foursomes at Revere Lexington and two at Concord, then swap the next day.
  • Paiute day: up to three courses, one clubhouse, with Wolf for the low handicaps and Snow Mountain for the rest.
  • Evening without a tee time: Topgolf's bays take up to six players, and it is open until midnight Sunday to Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday.
  • Big-table dinners: Lazy Dog in Downtown Summerlin and Original Lindo Michoacan near Las Vegas National are noted for groups; see where to eat in Las Vegas for golfers.

Getting the group around

A Strip group can skip cars for Bali Hai, Wynn and Shadow Creek, whose round-trip limo collects you from your MGM hotel. Everywhere else, plan one car per foursome with clubs. Rental cars are at a consolidated center about 3 miles from the airport, reached by shuttle bus. Self-parking at MGM resorts was $20 per 24 hours for hotel guests on the October 2025 table (free for MGM Rewards Pearl and above), so a four-car group adds about $80 a night at an MGM hotel. See flights to Las Vegas for golf.

When to go

Spring (March to May) and October to mid-November are peak golf with the highest fees. For value, try early December before NFR or mid-January after CES. Avoid F1 week (November 19-21, 2026) on the Strip, and check overseed closures in September. See the best time to golf in Las Vegas and the four-day plans in the Las Vegas golf trip itinerary. For a cheaper group trip up I-15, compare the Mesquite buddies golf trip or a Laughlin buddies golf trip.

Questions golfers ask

What is the best base for a Las Vegas buddies golf trip?

The Strip if nightlife is half the point, Henderson if golf is. From Green Valley Ranch, Serket is 10 minutes and the Revere 12; from the Strip at Flamingo Road they are 23 and 26. The Venetian's all-suite rooms split well for groups, and a Henderson casino resort has a lower resort fee than the big Strip hotels.

How do big groups book tee times in Las Vegas?

Book consecutive tee times as soon as your dates are fixed and read the group rules. The Revere charges if you cancel inside 72 hours and may charge 50% of the fee if under 75% of the group shows; Reflection Bay and the Paiute resort have 48-hour cancellation policies.

Can we rent a house for a Vegas golf trip?

Only through a licensed property for stays under 31 nights. In unincorporated Clark County, which includes the Strip corridor and Summerlin South, renting a home for under 31 days without a short-term rental licence is illegal, and Henderson requires registration. Many Henderson HOAs ban rentals under 30 days.

Which Las Vegas courses suit a big group?

Two- and three-course facilities: the Revere's Lexington and Concord, Angel Park's Mountain and Palm, and the Las Vegas Paiute resort's three Pete Dye courses, where a group can split across courses or play 36 without moving the car.

How much does a Las Vegas buddies golf trip cost?

It depends hugely on the courses. Four rounds at mid-priced Henderson courses seen in October 2026 (the Legacy, two Revere rounds and Wildhorse) came to up to about $466 a player in green fees, while Shadow Creek alone is $1,250. Add rooms, resort fees of about $51-$62 a night at the big Strip resorts, tips and transport.

Can a buddies group play Shadow Creek?

Yes, if everyone playing is staying at an MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotel. It cost $1,250 a player in 2026 with a round-trip limo from the hotel; the caddie fee and tip are separate per GolfNewsNet. Several 2026 guides say paying guests are mostly placed Monday to Thursday.

Do Caesars Rewards members get golf discounts in Las Vegas?

At Cascata and Serket, Caesars Rewards members get tier-based green-fee discounts for themselves and up to three guests. In a group, the player with the highest tier should book each foursome.
