Map of the courses in this guide: Flights to Las Vegas for golf: the airport, Canadian nonstops and getting to the course

Flights to Las Vegas for golf all land at Harry Reid International (LAS), about 3 miles from the Strip, with nonstops from most large US cities and from Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal and seasonally Winnipeg. From the airport, a Strip-based group can use ride-hail and the course shuttles; a rental car pays off for Henderson, Summerlin, Boulder City and the outlying courses.

This guide covers the airport, Canadian nonstops, the rental car versus ride-hail choice, hotel parking fees and drive times for those who drive in. Airline routes come from the airport's Wikipedia table read November 4, 2026 and were not confirmed with the airlines.

Quick facts

  • Airport: Harry Reid International (LAS), the only airline airport for the area.
  • Distance: about 3 miles from the Strip.
  • Canadian nonstops: WestJet, Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, Flair and Porter.
  • Rental cars: consolidated center about 3 miles away, by shuttle bus.
  • No rail link; taxis, ride-hail and RTC buses serve the terminals.
  • Clock: Pacific time with daylight saving, the same as California all year.

No Saskatchewan, Kelowna or Victoria nonstop appeared in the table. Routes not marked seasonal may still be seasonal, and frequencies were not checked, so confirm on the airline sites before you build a trip around one. Canadians staying 30 days or more who did not receive an I-94 record, as most who drive in do not, must register with USCIS; see Canadian snowbirds in Las Vegas.

Time zones

Las Vegas is on Pacific time with daylight saving, matching California all year. From the Canadian side, per our files (carried over from earlier research and not re-checked): British Columbia has stayed on UTC-7 since March 8, 2026, so Vancouver is one hour ahead of Las Vegas in winter and level in summer. Alberta is one hour ahead all year, Saskatchewan two hours ahead in winter and one in summer, and Ontario and Quebec three hours ahead. Utah is one hour ahead all year, and Arizona is one hour ahead in winter only.

From the airport to the hotel and the course

The airport has two terminals: Terminal 1 (A, B, C gates and the satellite D gates) and Terminal 3 (E gates and international arrivals). Taxis and ride-hail pick up at each terminal's garage level. Rental cars are at a consolidated center about 3 miles away by shuttle bus.

Our drive-time source (OSRM, which ignores traffic) gives 39 minutes for the 8.7 miles from LAS to the Strip at Flamingo Road, which looks too high for so short a trip, probably because of how it placed the airport. It gives 42 minutes (13.4 miles) to Henderson's Green Valley and 50 minutes (19.7 miles) to Downtown Summerlin. Treat all three as rough.

Rental car or ride-hail?

Our research did not compare real prices, but the pattern is clear from where the courses are:

Course Minutes from the Strip Car needed?
Bali Hai7no; next to Mandalay Bay
Wynn Golf Club7no; behind Wynn and Encore
Shadow Creek21no; round-trip limo from your MGM hotel
Las Vegas National10optional
TPC Las Vegas22helpful

Paiute Wolf38yes
Coyote Springs67yes
Mesquite92yes

Drive times are estimated from the Strip at Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard without traffic. A common pattern for a Strip-based group is ride-hail or taxi to the hotel and a rental car only on golf days; for snowbirds and anyone based in Henderson, Summerlin or Boulder City, a car for the whole stay is the norm. See the Shadow Creek course guide and the Bali Hai course guide.

Parking at Strip hotels

If you rent a car, budget for parking. From a Las Vegas Advisor table dated October 2025:

Hotel Self-parking for hotel guests Valet
MGM Grand and other MGM resorts$20 per 24 hours; free for MGM Rewards Pearl and above$40 a day
Caesars Palace$20 per 24 hours; free for Caesars Rewards Platinum and above$50 a day
Wynn Las Vegasfree for registered guests$40 a day
Resorts World$21 per 24 hours$25-$75
Fontainebleaufree (offer listed "until 9/7/26"; current policy not confirmed)$35-$40

That comes on top of the nightly resort fee; see Las Vegas resort fees.

Driving in

If you drive in, these are OSRM free-flow times to the Strip from our research:

From Time Distance
Los Angelesabout 4 hr 53 min265 mi
Phoenixabout 6 hr (US-93 and the Hoover Dam bypass)285 mi
Salt Lake Cityabout 7 hr 14 min425 mi
Seattleabout 21 hr1,794 km
Calgaryabout 22 hr2,102 km
Vancouverabout 24 hr2,012 km
Edmontonabout 25.5 hr2,392 km

Real times run longer with traffic: I-15 from Southern California is often much slower on Friday afternoons inbound and Sundays outbound, especially on holiday and event weekends. Alberta drivers commonly take I-15 from the Coutts/Sweetgrass crossing straight through Montana, Idaho and Utah; winter weather in Montana, Idaho and northern Utah can slow or close it.

Golf on arrival and departure days

Because the airport sits beside the south Strip, a round on the day you land or leave is realistic. Bali Hai is the obvious choice: 7 minutes from the Strip at Flamingo Road and no hotel tie-in needed. The DoubleTree by Hilton Las Vegas Airport, south of the airport, had no resort fee on the November 2026 tracker and suits a first or last night with an arrival-day round there. In December and January, remember frost delays can push back an early tee time, so leave a wide gap before a departing flight. Store bags with the hotel bell desk, and check the course's cancellation policy before you book a round that depends on a flight landing on time.

Clubs: fly with them or rent?

Airline golf-bag fees often make renting cheaper for a two- or three-round trip, per our research. Wynn Golf Club includes Callaway rental clubs in its green fee, Las Vegas National lists rentals at $69 ($59 after noon), and Chimera $65 plus tax with six balls. Full detail is in Las Vegas golf club rentals.

Pairing flights with other golf towns

LAS is also the airport for two neighbouring Lie of the Land towns. Mesquite is about 80 miles northeast on I-15 (see Las Vegas to Mesquite golf) and Laughlin about 90 miles south (see Las Vegas to Laughlin golf). For a trip overview, read the Las Vegas golf trip guide and the Las Vegas golf trip itinerary.

Questions golfers ask

Which airport do I fly into for golf in Las Vegas?

Harry Reid International (LAS), the only airline airport for the area, about 3 miles from the Strip. It handled 54,989,185 passengers in 2025. Terminal 1 has the A, B, C and D gates and Terminal 3 the E gates and international arrivals.

Which Canadian cities fly nonstop to Las Vegas?

Per the airport's Wikipedia airlines table read November 4, 2026: WestJet from Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver (not marked seasonal) and seasonally from Winnipeg; Air Canada from Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver; Air Canada Rouge from Toronto and seasonally Montreal; Flair seasonally from Vancouver; Porter from Toronto and, from November 16, 2026, seasonally from Edmonton. Confirm with the airlines.

Is there a nonstop from Saskatchewan or Kelowna to Las Vegas?

None appeared in the airport's airlines table when our research read it. Saskatchewan, Kelowna and Victoria golfers would connect, usually through Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver, or check the airlines for any new route.

Do I need a rental car for a Las Vegas golf trip?

Not for every round. Bali Hai and Wynn Golf Club are minutes from the Strip, and Shadow Creek includes a limo from your MGM hotel. A rental car makes sense for Henderson, Summerlin, Boulder City and outlying courses such as the Paiute resort, Coyote Springs and Mesquite.

How far is the rental car center from the Las Vegas airport?

About 3 miles. All the rental companies share a consolidated center reached by a shuttle bus from the terminals. There is no rail link to the airport; RTC public buses, taxis and ride-hail serve the terminals.

How long is the drive from Calgary to Las Vegas?

About 22 hours of free-flow driving (2,102 km) to the Strip on OSRM's estimate. Edmonton is about 25.5 hours and Vancouver about 24. Alberta drivers commonly take I-15 from the Coutts crossing through Montana, Idaho and Utah; winter weather can slow or close it.

Should I bring my golf clubs on the flight?

It depends on how many rounds you play. Most daily-fee and resort courses rent sets, Wynn Golf Club includes Callaway rentals in the green fee, and airline golf-bag fees often make renting cheaper for a two- or three-round trip. See our club rentals guide for prices.
