The key number: A Las Vegas golf trip itinerary: four days, four to six rounds

A good Las Vegas golf trip itinerary fits four to six rounds into four days by picking one base and playing the courses close to it. Below are three versions: a Strip trip with the big-name rounds, a Henderson trip with two 36-hole days, and a Summerlin trip for the west side and Red Rock. Each uses real drive times from the hotel and green fees seen in 2026.

Fees were seen between April and November 2026 and change; several are third-party snapshots, as most courses use dynamic pricing. Drive times are free-flow estimates without traffic.

Quick facts

  • Rounds: four is easy; six needs two 36-hole days at two-course facilities.
  • Best months for six rounds: March to May and October, when days are long enough.
  • Bases: Strip (nightlife, Shadow Creek, Wynn), Henderson (most courses close together), Summerlin (TPC, Angel Park, Red Rock).
  • Car: needed for Henderson and Summerlin; optional for a Strip trip.
  • Budget extras: resort fees of about $51-$62 a night at the big Strip resorts, caddie and forecaddie tips.

Version 1: Strip base, four rounds

Stay at an MGM hotel such as MGM Grand if Shadow Creek is in the plan; otherwise any Strip resort works.

Day Round Drive from MGM Grand Fee seen
1 (arrive)Bali Hai, afternoon5 mintypically $250-$300 in season; $104.99 summer hot deal
2Shadow Creek (MGM guests only), or TPC Las Vegas22 / 24 min$1,250 / about $175-$195 before noon
3Serket (ex-Rio Secco) or Cascata21 / 30 minDouble Down for both from $750 (fall)
4 (fly)Las Vegas National, morning10 min$179 (April 2026)

Why it works: two rounds are within 10 minutes of the hotel, Shadow Creek's limo collects you from your MGM hotel, and the Henderson day is the only real drive. For a second Henderson round within five days, the Double Down covers both Serket and Cascata. Several 2026 guides say Shadow Creek mostly takes paying guests Monday to Thursday, so build the trip around a weekday round there. See the Shadow Creek course guide.

Swap in the Wynn: if you stay at Wynn Las Vegas, its course is behind the hotel and guests get booking priority. Press reports put the fee between $450 and $1,000, highest in F1 week and the holidays.

Version 2: Henderson base, six rounds

Stay at Green Valley Ranch (resort fee $51.30 a night including tax) or, with no resort fee and suite kitchens, Homewood Suites Henderson South.

Day Rounds Drive from Green Valley Ranch Fees seen
1 (arrive)The Legacy, afternoon4 min$46.99-$57.99 (October 2026)
2Revere Lexington + Revere Concord12 min$83.99-$148.99 each (October 2026)
3Cascata, then Wildhorse late21 / 9 minDouble Down from $750 / up to about $109.99
4 (fly)Serket, morning10 mincovered by the Double Down

This is the most golf for the least driving: every course is within 21 minutes of the hotel. The Revere prepays at 10% off and both courses share Buckman's Grille. Cascata's fee includes a cart, practice before play and a forecaddie (suggested tip $40 a player). Day 3's afternoon round only works with long daylight, so in November or winter drop Wildhorse and keep it to five rounds. See the Revere Lexington course guide and the Cascata course guide.

Version 3: Summerlin base, five rounds

Stay at Red Rock Casino Resort (resort fee $62.15) or the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort ($50.85).

Day Rounds Drive from Red Rock Casino Fees seen
1 (arrive)Arroyo at Red Rock4 minlistings disagree: $145 to $220

3TPC Las Vegas7 minabout $175-$195 before noon; about $100-$120 afternoon
4 (fly)Paiute Wolf or Snow Mountain33 minundated, treat as old: $109 Wolf, $89 Snow

Summerlin puts four rounds within 8 minutes of the hotel. Angel Park's two Palmer courses make an easy 36 without moving the car, and its lit Cloud Nine short course fills an evening. Siena (9 minutes) is a good swap and skips the September overseed. On the last day, the Paiute courses are Pete Dye designs up US-95, the Wolf the longest and hardest at 7,604 yards (76.3 / slope 149). Red Rock Canyon is about 25 minutes from Summerlin for a rest morning.

Booking checklist

  1. Shadow Creek: book through the MGM hotel concierge or casino host once you hold an MGM reservation for the dates.
  2. Wynn: third-party sources report a 90-day booking window for hotel guests against about 30 days for the public (not confirmed by Wynn).
  3. The Revere: prepay for 10% off; cancel 72 hours ahead, and if under 75% of the group shows, 50% of the fee may be charged.
  4. Paiute: 48-hour cancellation; Clark County residents get a 7-day window at resident rates.
  5. Cascata: the $199 replay is standby only, so ask at check-in if the group wants a second loop.

Evenings and rest time

Each base has its own evening: the Strip and the Bellagio fountains, Lazy Dog and Honey Salt in Summerlin, Hank's at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson. Topgolf behind MGM Grand is open until midnight Sunday to Thursday and 1am Friday and Saturday. See things to do in Las Vegas for golfers and where to eat in Las Vegas for golfers.

Adding a fifth day

The obvious add-on is Mesquite, about 92 minutes from the Strip up I-15, with Coyote Springs, a Nicklaus course, 67 minutes out on the way; one golfer reported paying $125 there in January 2026. See Las Vegas to Mesquite golf and the Mesquite golf trip guide.

Questions golfers ask

How many rounds can you play on a four-day Las Vegas golf trip?

Four is comfortable and six is realistic if you play two 36-hole days at two-course facilities such as the Revere, Angel Park or the Paiute resort. In November and the winter months, short days and frost delays make 36 holes tight, so plan six rounds for spring or October.

What is the best base for a Las Vegas golf trip itinerary?

The Strip if nightlife and Shadow Creek or Wynn matter, Henderson for the most courses close together, and Summerlin for TPC Las Vegas, Angel Park, the Arroyo and Red Rock Canyon. From Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, Serket is 10 minutes, the Revere 12 and the Legacy 4.

Can I play Shadow Creek on a Las Vegas golf trip?

Only if you are staying at an MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotel. It cost $1,250 a player in 2026 with a round-trip limo, plus caddie fee and tip. Several 2026 guides say paying guests are mostly accommodated Monday to Thursday, though MGM has not confirmed that.

What is the Cascata and Serket Double Down?

A package of one round at Cascata and one at Serket (formerly Rio Secco) within five days. The club's rates page listed it from $525 in summer and $750 in fall in November 2026. It is the cheapest published way into Cascata if you play both.

Do I need a car for a four-day Las Vegas golf itinerary?

For the Henderson and Summerlin versions, yes. A Strip-based trip built on Bali Hai, Las Vegas National, Wynn and Shadow Creek can work without one, since Shadow Creek includes a limo from your MGM hotel.

How far ahead should I book Las Vegas tee times?

Few courses publish a visitor booking window. Book as soon as your dates are fixed and each tee sheet shows them, and check cancellation rules: the Revere charges if you cancel inside 72 hours, Reflection Bay inside 48.
