Course stamp: Temecula golf rates: green fees course by course, and which are not published

Temecula golf rates range from $15 for nine holes at Echo Hills to $215 for the public at Journey at Pechanga. Most public rounds that publish a number sit between $40 and $125. A handful of courses, including Temecula Creek Inn and CrossCreek, publish no current rate sheet, so the honest answer there is to check the booking page.

This guide lists every fee we found, course by course, with the date it was seen and the catches. Prices were seen in November 2026 unless dated otherwise, and they change with the day, season and demand.

Quick facts

  • Highest: Journey at Pechanga, $215 public and $175 hotel guest.
  • Lowest: Echo Hills, $15 for nine holes, $10 after 1:00pm.
  • Typical public 18: $40 to $125 with the cart included at most.
  • No current rate sheet: Temecula Creek Inn, CrossCreek, Menifee Lakes, Sun City North.
  • Cheaper days: Monday to Thursday at California Oaks, Hemet and Soboba.
  • Prepaid deals: the Legends, Redhawk and Rancho California.

Which courses give you the best value?

Value depends on what you want, so here are three tiers.

Under $60. California Oaks, Hemet Golf Club, the Legends on prepaid, and some Rancho California and Redhawk Hot Deals. California Oaks is a short par-70 where reviewers flag poor conditions, so the low price reflects that. Hemet is an honest $50 to $60 round.

$60 to $130. Pala Mesa from $69, the Legends at its higher prepaid prices, Soboba Springs at $100 to $125. Soboba is the best public course in the Hemet and San Jacinto valley, long and well kept, with a Gold tee of 7,339 yards rated 75.3/140.

$175 and up. Journey at Pechanga. It is the signature Temecula resort round, an Arthur Hills design with elevation change, and it is priced like it. The Copper tees play 7,093 yards at 74.8/142.

For the cheapest options and twilight, see cheap golf in Temecula. The best golf courses in Temecula guide ranks the courses.

How do weekday and weekend rates compare?

Where both rates are published:

Course Weekday Weekend Gap
California Oaks$40$53$13
Hemet Golf Club$49$59$10
Soboba Springs$100 (Mon-Thu)$125 (Fri-Sun)$25
Menifee Lakes (undated listings)$49$69$20

The gaps argue for midweek rounds on the pricier courses. At Soboba, a foursome saves $100 by playing Thursday instead of Friday. For Hemet, one listing shows much higher rates ($70 weekday and $80 weekend), so sources conflict and confirmation is worth a call.

What are the Journey at Pechanga and hotel-guest rates?

Journey's rates are priced by hotel status. The public rate is $215, the hotel-guest rate $175, and Salute to Service (military) and a guest also $175. The page does not say whether a cart is included, and no local rate is published. For a foursome, the guest rate saves $160 a round. See Pechanga resort golf and the Journey at Pechanga course guide.

Temecula Creek Inn is the other resort course with possible guest rates. They were not confirmed. See the Temecula Creek Inn course guide.

Do prices change by season?

Yes, though few courses publish a seasonal table. The season notes say fall peak green fees begin from about mid-October, spring is peak from March to May, summer is lowest with dawn and twilight tee times, and winter steps down from the fall peak. Courses usually keep spring rates into June.

That means a rate seen in April or August may not hold in January or October. Read the date column in the table above. Our best time to golf in Temecula guide explains the calendar and the Temecula weather by month guide covers conditions.

What about Borrego Springs and the desert?

Rams Hill in Borrego Springs is off our map, and we did not read its rate page for the Temecula data. The Palm Springs Borrego guide lists the club's published 2026-27 starting prices. For the full desert price list see Palm Springs golf rates.

How do you pay less?

Play weekdays, use prepaid deals on dry days, ask about senior, military and tribal rates, and book a Pechanga room for Journey. Compare totals in Temecula golf trip cost, and see Temecula tee times for the booking windows.

What extra costs sit on top of Temecula golf rates?

Read the notes beside each fee, because the headline number does not always include everything.

  • Carts. Included at most of the public courses listed above. At California Oaks the cart is included in the listed rate but a separate $20 rider fee is noted. At Echo Hills carts are $5 per person per round.
  • Rentals. Echo Hills lists clubs at $5 and a pull cart at $2.
  • Temecula Creek Inn. Reviewers mention about a $20 cart fee on top of a roughly $45 green fee, but that is unverified.
  • Prepaid deals. Redhawk's are non-refundable, and Rancho California's are refundable only with 24 hours' notice or more.
  • Twilight. California Oaks $33, Hemet $42 on weekdays and $49 on weekends, Echo Hills $10.
  • Walking. Echo Hills is walking only until about November 17 each year, per the district page, though the year is not stated.

When you compare Temecula golf rates, compare like with like. A $100 round with a cart included at Soboba is not the same as a $45 green fee with a $20 cart fee at another course. Ask whether the price is for 18 holes, whether the cart is in it and how recent the number is.

Rates were captured on the dates shown in the table, and our rate guides carry the date for that reason. Where a course publishes nothing, treat any figure you find on a third-party site as a starting point for a phone call.
