Palm Springs tee times are booked on each course's own tee sheet (EZLinks, TeeItUp, Quick18, Chronogolf and others) or on GolfNow and TeeOff. Windows range from 3 days for Palm Desert residents to 365 days for La Quinta Resort guests at PGA West. Many courses publish no public window, and dynamic rates change with demand.

There is no central booking system for the Coachella Valley. Each course, or each management company, runs its own tee sheet with its own window, card holders get earlier access, and cancellation rules vary. This guide lists each course's published booking rules, course by course, as checked November 2, 2026. Rules change, so confirm when you book.

Quick facts

  • Longest window: La Quinta Resort guests, up to 365 days ahead for the PGA West resort courses.
  • Card windows: Desert Willow Platinum 60 days; Oak Valley Loyalty Club 10 days.
  • Common public window: 30 days (Escena, Rams Hill, Trilogy non-residents).
  • Resident windows: Palm Desert 3 days, Indian Wells 14.5 days, both opening at 7 pm.
  • Third-party sites: GolfNow and TeeOff list most daily-fee courses, usually as prepaid hot deals plus a fee.
  • Peak months: book February and March as soon as windows open.

Other daily-fee and community courses, including Cimarron, Desert Princess, Cathedral Canyon, Heritage Palms, Big Rock, Terra Lago and Mission Lakes, sell through GolfNow, several also on TeeOff; Cathedral Canyon also books through JC Golf. Indian Palms uses its own Quick18 site, Shadow Mountain Chronogolf, and Shadow Hills its club site. Eagle Falls books through Fantasy Springs Resort or by phone.

PGA West and La Quinta Resort

The five PGA West resort courses, the Stadium, Nicklaus Tournament, Norman and the two Pete Dye courses at La Quinta Resort, share one public tee sheet and GolfNow listings. The public booking window is not published. La Quinta Resort & Club guests get a separate link that opens up to 365 days ahead, and Stay & Play packages are sold through the resort. For a group set on a specific date in peak season, that year-out window is the strongest booking edge in the valley. The four PGA West private courses are member-only and cannot be booked by the public or by resort guests; the only route is as a member's guest. More in PGA West golf.

Resident and card windows

City courses give residents and card holders their own access:

  • Desert Willow: Palm Desert Resident Card holders book a 3-day window that opens at 7 pm, at a $52 resident rate. Platinum Club Card holders ($599 non-resident for 2026-27) book 60 days out.
  • Indian Wells Golf Resort: Resident Benefit Card or Property Owner ID holders book online up to 14.5 days ahead from 7 pm, prepaid, with 72-hour cancellation. Resident guests must be accompanied. Resident booking moved fully online from June 1, 2026.
  • SilverRock: La Quinta Resident Card holders use a separate EZLinks tee sheet.
  • Mission Hills Gary Player: Coachella Valley Resident Golf Card holders use their own tee sheet.
  • Escena: anyone books up to 30 days; Escena Club card holders get 15 to 20 percent off regular rates on times 4 to 30 days out.

Cancellation and payment rules

Many valley tee sheets take payment up front. Published rules:

  • Escena: 24 hours' notice for times booked 0 to 3 days out, 72 hours for 4 to 30 days out, or the prepaid fee is forfeited.
  • Classic Club: cancel 72 or more hours out to avoid penalties. Replay rounds are sold same day through the shop.
  • Westin Pete Dye: cancel at least 24 hours out; late cancellations may be charged at the applicable rate.
  • Indian Wells residents: prepaid, 72-hour cancellation.
  • SilverRock: prepayment required.
  • Rams Hill: rates start at the listed price and rise as the sheet fills.

GolfNow and TeeOff hot deals are usually prepaid, and several November 2026 listings added a $3.49 fee.

Booking for groups

At the Classic Club, groups of three or more tee times must book through the golf shop. Carts are mandatory there, two per foursome, and outside alcohol is prohibited and can get a group removed without a refund. At other courses, a big group in peak season should book as early as each window allows. Smaller groups should expect pairing: at Oak Valley, groups under four get paired. More in the Palm Springs buddies golf trip guide.

When to book in peak season

From January to April, morning tee times sell first. Book February and March as soon as your window opens, and plan around:

  • The American Express, January 21-24, 2027: the PGA West Stadium and Nicklaus Tournament courses close to public play for tournament week and setup.
  • BNP Paribas Open, February 28 to March 14, 2027: the core of the March crush in Indian Wells, Palm Desert and La Quinta.
  • Spring break and Easter (March 28, 2027).

For a short trip, booking close in can still work midweek, and at Escena it is cheaper: tee times 0 to 3 days out carry the lowest dynamic rates. See Palm Springs events.

Tee times for a snowbird season

Snowbirds drive tee-time demand from January to March, and morning times and season passes sell first. A winter visitor gets the most reach from a card: 60 days ahead at Desert Willow on the Platinum card beats any published window except La Quinta Resort's. A practical rhythm is to book card rounds the day the window opens, then fill the rest of the week a few days out, when dynamic rates at courses like Escena are lowest. A sample rotation is in the snowbird golf schedule.

Tee times during overseed

Between late September and December most courses close for a few weeks for overseed and reopen cart-path-only. Desert Willow and Tahquitz Creek staggered their two courses in 2026 so one stayed open, and the Desert Springs, Terra Lago and Mountain Vista pairs usually do the same. Indian Canyons did not fully: both of its courses were closed from October 19 to 30, 2026. GolfNow notes that Indio Golf Course takes tee times by phone during its November course changes, and Mountain Vista's phone is hard to reach in October and November. Check dates in Palm Springs golf overseed.

Getting the price right

Rates move with demand, so compare the course's own tee sheet with GolfNow before you pay. The Westin says booking direct carries no booking fee. Cimarron Boulder showed $145.49 at 8:48 am and $56.49 at 3:04 pm on the same day in November 2026. See Palm Springs golf rates and cheap golf in Palm Springs. The Escena course guide and the SilverRock course guide carry each course's booking details. Comparing towns? Read Tucson tee times.

Plan it on the map

Open the Palm Springs golf map to see every course with its booking link, window and overseed dates. The $30 plan builds a day-by-day trip with the right course on the right day, and tells you when each tee sheet opens.

Questions golfers ask

How far ahead can I book tee times in Palm Springs?

It depends on the course and who you are. La Quinta Resort guests can book PGA West resort courses up to 365 days ahead, Desert Willow Platinum Club Card holders 60 days, Escena and Rams Hill 30 days, and Indian Wells residents 14.5 days. Many courses do not publish a public window at all.

What is the best way to book PGA West tee times?

Stay at La Quinta Resort & Club. Its guests book the PGA West resort courses through a separate link up to 365 days in advance, which is the clearest edge for a group set on a January or February date. Everyone else books on the PGA West tee sheet or GolfNow, and the public window is not published.

Can I cancel a Palm Springs tee time?

Usually, with notice. Escena needs 24 hours for times booked 0 to 3 days out and 72 hours for 4 to 30 days out, or the prepaid fee is forfeited. The Classic Club asks for 72 hours and the Westin 24 hours. Indian Wells resident times carry a 72-hour cancellation rule.

How do groups book tee times in Palm Springs?

Through the golf shop at many courses. The Classic Club requires groups of three or more tee times to book through the shop. For large groups in peak season, book as early as each course's window allows and confirm cart and pace rules in writing.

Is it cheaper to book Palm Springs tee times late?

At some courses. Escena says tee times 0 to 3 days out carry its lowest dynamic rates. Others reward booking early: Marriott's Shadow Ridge says booking 30 days out gets the best available rate, and the Westin says its rates are lower when booked further ahead for off-peak hours.

Can I book tee times during fall overseed?

Only at courses that are open. Most courses close for a few weeks between late September and December, and multi-course facilities stagger so one stays open. GolfNow notes that Indio Golf Course takes tee times by phone during its November course changes.
