Eastwood Golf Course Fort Myers: rates, passes and the layout of the city's second course

Eastwood Golf Course in Fort Myers is the city's second municipal course, open to everyone, off Ortiz Ave. It opened in 1977 and plays over 7,100 yards from the Black tees. In November 2026 it costs $70 with cart before noon, $55 midday and $35 after 3pm. Book on foreUP up to 7 days ahead.

Who can play Eastwood Golf Course Fort Myers

Eastwood Golf Course is city-owned and open to all. Groups of two or more must reserve; single players may walk on. From October 15, 2026, non-playing riders are not allowed, so everyone in the cart must be playing.

Eastwood rates

The November figures are from the city page. The summer figures come from an undated opengolfapi copy of the city's off-season sheet, which matches Fort Myers Country Club's May to September 2026 rates.

November rates include tax. January to April rates had not been posted, and the research expects peak season to price above November. Rates were seen November 2026 and change month to month.

Booking

Online tee times open 7 days out on foreUP. Phone booking only covers the next day, from 8am. In January to April the Fort Myers tee sheets fill with snowbirds, so book online on the first day your date opens. The Naples tee times guide compares windows across the area.

Passes

The city's passes cover both of its courses, and that has changed. The city FAQ for Fort Myers Country Club says new memberships are not being offered at this time. Gulf Shore Business reported in 2025 that annual passes for the two courses were rising, with a resident nine-month pass at $1,200 for post-2022 sign-ups. The layout

Eastwood is a long, wooded municipal layout with water and wildlife, and the research rates it 3.5 out of 5. Tee yardages come from an aggregator, and only the Black tee rating was published.

For most visitors the White tees at 6,000 yards or the Blue at 6,422 are the right fit. The Black tees are a genuine long test. The city page publishes no overseed or aerification dates, and the turf type is not in the files.

Range, food and lessons

The driving range has been newly remodelled. Hours vary by day: it closes at 4pm on Tuesdays and opens at 7:30am on Wednesdays. The Eastwood 77 Bar & Grill, named for the opening year, is open 7am to 6pm with happy hour from 4 to 6pm, and the city page mentions a new dining room. There is a pro shop and PGA lessons.

Eastwood vs Fort Myers Country Club

The two city courses share a rate sheet and booking rules, so the research suggests pairing them for two cheap rounds on one trip.

Fort Myers Country Club has the history: a Donald Ross course on McGregor Blvd that the city says Edison and Ford played in the 1920s. Other public courses east of Fort Myers

• Ibis Landing Golf Club: a Troon-run public course in east Lehigh, about 61 minutes from downtown Naples. The club posts $99 and up before noon, $89 midday and $69 after 3pm for November 1 to December 31, 2026, plus 6.5% tax, with cart and warm-up balls. See the Ibis Landing course guide.

When to play

November and December bring dry weather at shoulder rates. January to April is peak. From February, spring training adds traffic around the airport and Six Mile Cypress Pkwy: the Red Sox and Twins both open their 2027 home schedules on February 19. • Luminary Hotel & Co.: about 13 minutes, 5.8 miles. No resort fee per the research; no public rate read.
• SpringHill Suites Fort Myers Airport: about 13 minutes, 7.1 miles. Value suites near RSW; no rate read.
• Seminole Campground & RV Park: about 17 minutes, in North Fort Myers. RV LIFE showed $70 a night in January 2025; monthly winter rates on request.
• Upriver RV Resort: about 17 minutes, a 55+ riverfront park taking 2026-27 bookings; current rates not published.

Eastwood for a group

For a buddies group the rules are simple. Any group of two or more must reserve on foreUP, everyone in a cart must be playing, and the 7-day window means one person should book as soon as it opens. Club rental is $25 if someone flies in without clubs. With the city's November card, a foursome pays $280 in the morning or $140 after 3pm with carts, tax included (four times the posted rate).

Near Eastwood on a day off

Eastwood is off Ortiz Ave, and two of the area's rainy-day and nature stops are close by: the Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium on Ortiz Ave near I-75 and Colonial Blvd, and the Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve boardwalk on Six Mile Cypress Pkwy. Topgolf Fort Myers at 2021 Topgolf Way by I-75 is open until 11pm Monday to Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday, per its site.

Is Eastwood worth it?

For value, yes. You get over 7,100 yards of real golf, a new range and a bar and grill at a municipal rate. The trade-offs: municipal conditioning, a 7-day booking window, no new passes, and almost an hour's drive if you are based in Naples.
