The two city courses are the backbone. Fort Myers Country Club is a 1917 Donald Ross par 70; Eastwood is the bigger test at over 7,100 yards. Both are close to the airport and downtown, at municipal prices; see the Fort Myers Country Club course guide.
Ibis Landing is the best fit for a big group. Troon runs it, the rates are published, range balls are included, and groups of 16 or more can phone a day before the online window opens. Booking rules that matter for groups
Big groups run into rules a twosome never notices:
- Windows are short. The city courses open 7 days ahead online and only 1 day by phone; Ibis Landing releases times at midnight 7 days out; Stoneybrook opens 1 week out; Babcock National only 3 days.
- Cancellation. Eagle Lakes asks for 48 hours' notice for groups of 8 or more (24 for smaller groups), and its shop may shift singles and twosomes up to 8 minutes to make foursomes.
- No fivesomes at Shell Point, whose public 18-hole rates also start at 10 am.
- Pairing. GolfNow listings note that groups under four may be paired at some courses.
- Ride-alongs. From October 15, 2026, non-playing riders are not allowed at Fort Myers Country Club or Eastwood; Ibis Landing charges $30.
- Rental clubs for anyone flying light: $75 at Ibis Landing, $55 and up at Babcock National.

A sample four-day plan
- Day 1: land at RSW, afternoon round at San Carlos Golf Club near the airport, or Eastwood after 3 pm for $35 in November.
- Day 2: Ibis Landing in the morning, Westminster in the afternoon, both in Lehigh Acres.
- Day 3: Stoneybrook in Estero, then an evening at Topgolf.
- Day 4: Fort Myers Country Club or Coral Oaks in the morning before the flight home.

Where to stay for a Fort Myers buddies golf trip
For a group, space and parking matter more than a pool. The options on our map:
- Embassy Suites Fort Myers-Estero: two-room suites suit golf pairs, with cooked breakfast, by I-75 at Corkscrew Road and about 6 minutes from Stoneybrook.
- Residence Inn at Gulf Coast Town Center and Homewood Suites Fort Myers Airport/FGCU: kitchen suites near RSW, good for a week.
- Luminary Hotel: downtown in the River District, no resort fee, 7 minutes from Fort Myers Country Club. Hotel Indigo is the smaller alternative nearby.
- Westin Cape Coral: the resort choice for a Cape Coral and Fort Myers week, with stay-and-play packages, but 45 to 60 minutes from Naples courses.
- Margaritaville Fort Myers Beach: a lively beach base at the pier for a non-serious group, with a 25 to 45 minute drive to every course.

A morning-round example on November and December 2026 cards:

Switch the city rounds to after 3 pm ($35 each) and the total drops to $299. In January to April, budget more: Stoneybrook rises to $199 in the morning, and the city courses had not posted peak rates when checked but expect them above November. - River District: Ford's Garage for burgers and beer, Twisted Vine Bistro for wine, and a Pinchers, all walkable from the downtown hotels.
- Topgolf Fort Myers: by I-75, open to 1 am on Friday and Saturday per topgolf.com (November 3, 2026), and the standard rain-out plan.
- Hertz Arena: Florida Everblades hockey in Estero.
- Spring training: Red Sox at JetBlue Park and Twins at Hammond Stadium from February 19, 2027. Game days back up Daniels Parkway, so play mornings.
