Scorecard: Bachelor Party Golf Gulf Shores Planner: Group Condos, 36-Hole Days and the House Rules

For bachelor party golf, Gulf Shores works best with one big condo for the whole group, back-to-back foursome tee times, and one 36-hole day at a course pair that shares a clubhouse or a road, such as Craft Farms or Kiva Dunes and Peninsula. Book units early, check age limits, and pack collared shirts.

This guide is for the groom's crew: 6 to 12 golfers, two or three days, a celebration dinner and a round everyone remembers. It covers group-sized condos, how to fit 36 holes into a day on the Alabama Gulf Coast, the rules that trip groups up, and costs. Drive times are free-flow road estimates. Fees were seen in October 2026 and change.

Quick facts

  • Biggest unit: Turquoise Place 4-bedroom condos sleep about 8 to 15.
  • Sleep on the course: Craft Farms' Bunkhouse, 6 bedrooms with 12 queen beds, next to the first tee.
  • Easiest 36: Craft Farms Cotton Creek and Cypress Bend, one clubhouse.
  • Group scoring: Kiva Dunes provides free Golf Genius live scoring for groups.
  • Online booking cap: four players per tee time at Gulf Shores Golf Club.
  • Age limits: 25 to rent at Turquoise Place; 21 at SpringHill Suites at The Wharf.
  • Airport: Pensacola (PNS), about 56 minutes from Orange Beach and 69 from Gulf Shores.

Turquoise Place is the classic big-group splurge: a 4-bedroom, 4.5-bath unit gives each pair a king suite with its own bath, and many units have a hot tub and gas grill on the balcony. One late-November snapshot showed about $578 a night, about $670 with taxes and fees, before the resort fee, cleaning fee and parking registration (seen October 2026). Split eight ways, that is about $84 a head per night before those extras.

The Bunkhouse is the golf-first choice: Craft Farms says carts are staged and bags stored on your tee-time days, and you walk to two Arnold Palmer 18s.

Embassy Suites is the pick if the group wants hotel rooms and a walk to the bars: the public beach is 0.1 miles away and The Hangout is a 2 to 5 minute walk. Our golf condos in Orange Beach guide goes deeper on condo fees and fine print, and the Gulf Shores buddies golf trip guide covers group logistics in general.

How do you play 36 holes in a day in Gulf Shores?

For bachelor party golf, Gulf Shores days often stretch to 36 holes. These pairings keep the drive short:

Pairing Move between rounds Holes Notes
Craft Farms Cotton Creek + Cypress BendSame clubhouse36Winter Six-Pack allows 2 rounds per card per day
Kiva Dunes + PeninsulaAbout 13 min on Fort Morgan Rd36 (Peninsula has 27)Peninsula picks your two nines on the day
Lost Key + Perdido BayAbout 9 min36Perdido Bay: no singles or twosomes before 10 am
Gulf Shores Golf Club + Craft FarmsBoth within 8 min of Hwy 59 hotels36Gulf Shores GC targets 4-hour rounds
Magnolia Grove Crossings + Falls, MobileSame clubhouse36 (+18-hole par-3 course)RTJ unlimited-play days from $115 (winter)
Lakewood Azalea + Dogwood, Point ClearSame club36RTJ unlimited day $260 (winter), $345 (spring, Mon/Tue/Thu)

Craft Farms is the simplest: Cotton Creek is the longer, tree-lined Palmer course (7,127 yards, 74.2/129 from the Golds) and Cypress Bend the shorter one with water on nearly every hole and a higher slope (135 from the tips). Lunch at the Bar & Grill between rounds, and there are two beverage carts for groups. See the Cotton Creek course guide.

Kiva Dunes and Peninsula make the big-ticket 36: Golf Digest's #13 in Alabama in the morning, then 27 lowcountry holes by Earl Stone beside the Bon Secour refuge in the afternoon. Play Kiva first while the group is fresh; its wind and hidden water punish tired swings, and Peninsula's dynamic pricing rewards booking early. See the Kiva Dunes course guide and Peninsula course guide.

Lakewood at the Grand Hotel offers an unlimited-play day inside RTJ's multi-day specials (minimum two days, booked 48 hours ahead). Azalea's weekly maintenance day is Monday and Dogwood's is Tuesday, so Thursday is the cleanest day for 36 there. Dogwood slopes 141 from the tips, so hand the groom a forward tee for the second loop.

Magnolia Grove in Mobile is about 96 minutes from Gulf Shores, so it's a day trip, but it has 36 big holes plus an 18-hole par-3 course on one property. Our Magnolia Grove golf course guide compares the three. For timing and daylight, see 36 holes a day in Gulf Shores.

How should a bachelor party set up the golf?

  • Book foursomes back to back. Online systems cap at four. At Gulf Shores Golf Club, groups larger than four call the pro shop.
  • Let someone build it for you. Kiva Dunes sells Stay and Play packages for 2 to 100 golfers and can mix in Peninsula, Craft Farms or Gulf Shores Golf Club. Peninsula and Craft Farms book 63 holes together for groups through one contact (251-968-8009).
  • Run a real game. Kiva Dunes provides free Golf Genius live scoring for groups, so the side bets settle themselves.
  • Rent clubs instead of flying them. Kiva Dunes rents Titleist or TaylorMade sets for $75, Gulf Shores Golf Club Callaway sets for $50 per 18, GlenLakes sets for $45 plus tax and Lost Key for $79 per 18. Kiva Dunes also offers a club shipping service.
  • Know the cancellation terms. GlenLakes' online tee times are prepaid and non-refundable; book by phone if plans might change. Kiva Dunes asks for 48 hours' notice.

What are the house rules?

These are the details that trip up bachelor party golf. Gulf Shores courses and hotels enforce them:

Rule Where
Collared shirt, no denimKiva Dunes; Gulf Shores Golf Club also bans cut-offs and swimsuits
No T-shirts, tank tops, jeans, athletic shorts or swimwearLost Key

No personal coolersAll RTJ Trail courses; TimberCreek
No outside food or drinkPerdido Bay

The Gulf Shores beach alcohol ban also matters: in 2026 it ran March 1 to April 28, and the city renews it each year. Wildlife is real, too. Gulf Shores Golf Club asks golfers to leave its alligators and snakes alone.

How much does a bachelor party golf weekend cost?

Per golfer, cart included, rates seen October 2026:

A two-day plan with Kiva Dunes in the morning, Peninsula in the afternoon (from $89 in winter) and Craft Farms the next day runs about $220 per golfer for the first day at winter rates ($130.84 for a Kiva morning plus Peninsula from $89), plus Craft Farms, whose daily rate isn't published. If the group is coming back in winter, the Craft Farms Six-Pack ($420 for six rounds, orders due November 15, 2026) brings rounds to about $70. More budget ideas are in cheap golf in Gulf Shores.

Where can the group walk to dinner and drinks?

Most condos on Fort Morgan Road and the Perdido Pass peninsula are a drive from anything, so plan a designated driver or base where you can walk.

  • Embassy Suites, Gulf Shores: The Hangout and the Gulf Place beach-strip bars are 2 to 5 minutes away; Sound Wave on site has daily live music.
  • SpringHill Suites at The Wharf: The Wharf's restaurants, bars and amphitheater surround the hotel, and Mile Marker 158 is in the building. You must be 21 to check in.
  • Hampton Inn & Suites Orange Beach: about a dozen casual restaurants, including Hurricanes, Rotolo's and Carvers Steakhouse, are a 2 to 7 minute walk.
  • Turquoise Place: City Donut and Shrimp Basket are about 9 to 10 minutes on foot.
  • Caribe Resort: Cobalt, the on-site seafood restaurant, plus a tiki bar.

When should you book a bachelor party golf trip?

For bachelor party golf, Gulf Shores is at its best in October and November: highs of about 70F to 79F, fewer rain days and lower rates than spring. Late February works too, before spring break, though Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday is February 9, 2027) adds lodging demand.

Avoid or plan around:

  • Spring break, March and April: the heaviest non-summer lodging demand, high weekend rates and the beach alcohol ban. See Gulf Shores golf at spring break.
  • The Flora-Bama Mullet Toss, the last full weekend of April (2027 listed as April 23-25, not confirmed), fills Perdido Key and Orange Beach lodging.
  • The Hangout Music Festival was not held in 2026, but the city approved a 2027 festival; dates weren't announced as of October 2026.
  • Summer Saturdays, when condo changeover jams Hwy 59.

Booking windows vary: Kiva Dunes opens 120 days out, Gulf Shores Golf Club 46, GlenLakes 21, and Lost Key and Perdido Bay 14 (Perdido Bay lets groups of four or more book further out by phone). RTJ packages can go 12 months ahead. Our Gulf Shores tee times booking guide lists every course.
