Signature holes

  • #16 - 596-yd par 5 where the cart path runs through a crushed-oyster-shell waste bunker; longest green on the course
  • #8 - par 3 to a green perched above wetlands with four pot bunkers
  • #17 - up to 226 yds, the hardest par 3, over baha grass and bunkers

Local knowledge

  • About 1.5 hours from Gulf Shores (across the I-10 Bayway into west Mobile) - more realistic as a Mobile-stay day or paired with Lakewood on the RTJ 'Swing' special.
  • Crossings is hillier than Falls and slightly longer; play it first while your legs are fresh if doing 36.
  • Walking is allowed here (unlike Lakewood), but carts and range balls are included in every RTJ special.
  • Avoid Tuesdays if you want to warm up properly - the range closes for part of the day.
