Cheap Golf in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach: Where to Play for Less

Cheap golf in Gulf Shores means playing late, playing inland, or buying rounds in bulk. GlenLakes in Foley showed 18 holes for as little as $37 after 3 PM in October 2026, Gulf Shores Golf Club drops to $79 from 12:30 PM in winter, and the Craft Farms Six-Pack works out to $70 a round. For a family nine, the Orange Beach par-3 is $15 walking.

Below are the lowest prices we found across Gulf Shores golf courses, all seen in October 2026. Rates change, and many tee sheets use dynamic pricing, so check before you go.

Cheap golf in Gulf Shores: the lowest 18-hole prices

Drive times are free-flow estimates from Hwy 59 and Beach Boulevard in central Gulf Shores.

GlenLakes is the standout. It's a Devlin-von Hagge links-style 18 from 6,912 yards, and its online dynamic pricing for Oct 27, 2026 stepped down through the day: $85.50 early, $72 mid-morning, about $60 to $63 around midday, $49.25 from about 1:40 PM and $37 after 3 PM. Online bookings are prepaid and non-refundable, so book by phone if your plans might change.

Soldiers Creek is wide and forgiving (slope 119 from the tips per the club scorecard) and cheap: $65 with cart in the morning, $49 after 1 PM. Recent reviews from August to October 2026 are poor on conditions, though, so play it for the price and read the latest reviews first.

Play late: twilight is the biggest discount

Most courses here cut the price in the afternoon, and in fall and winter the discount is large.

• Kiva Dunes saves about $30 to $40 a player at twilight. It starts at 1 PM from November to January and 2 PM in October and February. In November 2026 that meant $111.21 instead of $148.60.
• Gulf Shores Golf Club went from $139 in the morning to $99 at twilight in October and November 2026, with $69 for nine holes late. In early December it was $95 in the morning and $79 from 12:30 PM, with $49 for a late nine.
• Lost Key's online price for Oct 29, 2026 was $80 before about 1 PM and $65 after, under its posted $95 and $75 rack.
• Perdido Bay drops from $85 in the morning to $65 from 1 to 3 PM, then $50 after 3 PM (after 4 PM from May 5 to Aug 24) on its 2026 card.
• Craft Farms has a twilight rate after 2 PM, and nine-hole rounds are only sold after 2 PM. The amount isn't published.

At Gulf Shores Golf Club the twilight start moves with sunset, so it comes earlier as the days shorten. A late winter tee time is cheap, but leave enough light to finish.

Buy rounds in bulk: six-packs and cards

If you're staying a week or more, multi-round cards are the cheapest golf in Gulf Shores:

Craft Farms Six-Pack holders can book 14 days ahead, the limit is two rounds per card per day, and a 3% card fee applies. Soldiers Creek's 2026-27 Winter Value Packs go on sale Nov 15, 2026, with prices due Oct 31. Peninsula discontinued its six-round cards for 2026-27.

Local, military and junior rates

• Baldwin County residents: Perdido Bay's $70 local rate covers Baldwin County, which includes Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Craft Farms has a local rate Sunday to Thursday and after noon Friday and Saturday, by phone only.
• Military: Kiva Dunes takes $10 off any round with ID. Lost Key's military rate is $65 for 18. Perdido Bay charges military and law enforcement $60 after 11 AM. Craft Farms and Peninsula have military rates by phone.
• Juniors: GlenLakes $50 plus tax for 17 and under; Lost Key $55; Soldiers Creek $28 with cart for ages 12-17.
• Replays: Lost Key's replay rate is $45.

Third-party prices sometimes beat the course, and sometimes don't:

• GolfNow hot deals at Gulf Shores Golf Club for Oct 23-28, 2026 were $74.99 to $79.99 for afternoon times, under the club's $99 twilight.
• Rock Creek in Fairhope showed GolfNow hot deals of about $31 to $57 with cart in mid to late October 2026, and its own afternoon rate was about $41 to $47 after 2 PM.
• Peninsula says booking direct online is always cheapest.

Cheap nine holes and practice

• Orange Beach Golf Center: the city's 9-hole par-3. $15 walking or $20 with cart for nine, $25 walking or $30 with cart for 18, flat all year. The lighted range is $5 for a 34-ball bucket, and rental clubs are $25 for adults and $10 for youth.
• GlenLakes Lakes course: a separate 9-hole par 35 with public times at about $25 to $43 online.
• Gulf Shores Golf Club range pass: $25 per person for unlimited balls.

Low green fees can creep up:

• Card fees: Peninsula, Craft Farms and Lost Key add 3% for credit cards.
• Tax: Lost Key adds 7.5% Florida sales tax on top of its rack rate. GlenLakes and Craft Farms quote prices plus tax.
• Prepaid times: GlenLakes' online bookings can't be cancelled.
• Lodging fees: Embassy Suites Gulf Shores adds a resort charge of about $46 a night with tax, plus $30 to $35 parking a night. The Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express on Hwy 59 have free parking, free breakfast and no resort fee.

Courses that are cheap but far

Lake Forest in Daphne charges non-members $55 with cart, flat, and TimberCreek's rate after 4 PM was $39 to $44. Both are about an hour from Gulf Shores, so they make sense only if you're already up the Eastern Shore. The RTJ Trail's Magnolia Grove in Mobile has a winter 2+ day special from $85 a day with cart and unlimited range balls, but it's about 96 minutes away.
