Gulf Shores has five regulation golf courses inside the city: Kiva Dunes, Peninsula, Gulf Shores Golf Club and the two Arnold Palmer 18s at Craft Farms. Another four 18-hole courses lie within about 37 minutes in Foley, Elberta and Perdido Key, Florida. Green fees seen in October 2026 ran from under $50 for afternoon rounds to about $175 at Kiva Dunes.

This guide lists every course on our map plus the Eastern Shore and Mobile options, with what each costs, how hard it plays and how far it is from the beach.

Gulf Shores golf on Hwy 59

Gulf Shores Golf Club

The original Gulf Shores course opened in 1964 and was completely renovated in 2005-06 by Jay and Carter Morrish. It is a public par 71 with water on many holes, 1.7 miles from the beach. The 601-yard par-5 7th is the hole the club calls the toughest par 5 in Baldwin County, and the par-5 18th, over water to the green, was upgraded in summer 2026.

Morning rates were $139 in late October and November 2026, with $99 twilight. On Dec 5, twilight started at 12:30 PM at $79. Walking isn't allowed. Read the Gulf Shores Golf Club course guide for the hole notes.

Craft Farms: Cotton Creek and Cypress Bend

Both 18s are Arnold Palmer designs with Ed Seay, about five miles inland from the beach and sharing one clubhouse. Cotton Creek (1987) is the longer, tree-lined one at 7,127 yards and a 129 slope. Cypress Bend (1993) is shorter with wider fairways, but water on nearly every hole gives it the higher slope (135 from the Golds). GolfPass Golfers' Choice ranked them #5 and #4 in Alabama for 2024.

Craft Farms doesn't publish daily rack rates. Its winter Six-Pack card is $420 for six rounds to Feb 15, 2027 (about $70 a round) or $510 to Mar 31 (about $85), plus tax, good on either course. Orders close Nov 15, 2026. The Cotton Creek course guide and Cypress Bend course guide have more.

Fort Morgan Road golf courses

Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club

Earl Stone's 27 holes (Marsh, Lakes and Cypress) run among live oaks, cypress and more than 30 lakes beside the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. The club picks which two nines you play on the day. New TifEagle greens, tree removal and bunker work came after the July 2023 ownership change.

Winter rates are dynamic from $89 (Nov 15, 2026 to Mar 31, 2027), and the club says booking earlier gets you a lower price. It also says its turf stays green all winter and drains fast enough that it has no cart-path-only days. A 3% card fee applies. See the Peninsula course guide.

Kiva Dunes

Jerry Pate's 1995 links-style course sits on a narrow strip between the Gulf and Bon Secour Bay, about 24 minutes from central Gulf Shores. It is the area's top-ranked public course: #13 in Golf Digest's Alabama Best in State for 2025-26. The holes run east-west, so the Gulf wind blows across nearly every fairway.

Public rates seen in October 2026 were $174.77 before 2 PM in late October, $148.60 in November and $130.84 in December and January, with twilight $30 to $40 lower. It books 120 days out. The Kiva Dunes course guide covers the layout.

Foley and Orange Beach

GlenLakes

A Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge links-style 18 (Dunes-Vista) in Foley, opened in 1984, plus a separate 9-hole Lakes course. The official 2026 rate is $86 plus tax with cart before 1:52 PM and $66 from 2 PM. The live tee sheet for Oct 27, 2026 dropped to $49.25 from about 1:40 PM and $37 after 3 PM. Online bookings are prepaid and non-refundable. See the GlenLakes course guide. Also in Foley, Gulf Links is a par-64 executive course with a range; it has no online tee sheet, so call 251-970-1444.

Orange Beach Golf Center

The only golf in Orange Beach is this city-run 9-hole par-3 course and lighted range on Easy Street. It's $20 for nine with a cart or $15 walking, and $30 or $25 for 18, all year. There are no tee times. The range has 30 grass tees and 10 covered mat tees, open until 9 PM, and a 34-ball bucket is $5.

Perdido Key and Elberta

Lost Key Golf Club

Lost Key is in Florida, about 21 minutes from Orange Beach, on Central time. It was redesigned in 2006 by Arnold Palmer Design Group and grassed with Sea Dwarf paspalum from tee to green. Its 143 slope from the Black tees is the highest on the beach side, with water and marsh on many holes.

Online prices for late October and early November 2026 were $80 before 1 PM and $65 after, under the posted $95 rack. Florida's 7.5% sales tax and a 3% card fee are added. The Lost Key course guide has the hole notes.

Perdido Bay Golf Club

Bill Amick's course hosted the PGA Tour's Pensacola Open from 1978 to 1987 and was later lengthened past 7,000 yards in a redesign with Bill Bergin. The 2026 card (Mar 2 to Nov 2, tax included) is $85 for 18 from 7:30 AM to 1 PM, $65 from 1 to 3 PM and $50 twilight. Baldwin County residents with proof of address pay $70. No singles or twosomes go out before 10 AM, and reviewers in fall 2026 called the greens slow.

Soldiers Creek Golf Club

A wide, easy inland course near Elberta, about 37 minutes from Gulf Shores, at $65 before 1 PM and $49 after. Its 119 slope from 7,001 yards comes from the club scorecard, not the USGA database. Reviews from August to October 2026 were poor on conditions, with weedy greens and bare fairways, so read the latest before you book.

Eastern Shore golf courses

These are 46 to 63 minutes from Gulf Shores, so most visitors play them on a dedicated day trip. Our Fairhope, Point Clear and Daphne golf guide covers the area.

The Grand Hotel's posted green fees with cart are $226 through Nov 30, 2026, $205 from Dec 1 to Feb 28, 2027 and $249 from March, with twilight $113 to $129. That table doesn't separate guest and public rates. Walking isn't allowed.

Rock Creek is a hilly Earl Stone course whose 2nd hole drops 70 feet from tee to fairway. October 2026 prices roughly halved after 2 PM. TimberCreek has 27 Earl Stone holes and the longest public window in the area, 180 days. Quail Creek is Fairhope's flat city course, with the back nine scheduled for a TifEagle regrassing in 2026, so call ahead. Lake Forest is a short neighborhood course at $55 with cart.

Magnolia Grove, Mobile

The RTJ Golf Trail's Magnolia Grove site is about 96 minutes from Gulf Shores. Crossings (7,212 yards, 74.8/135) hosted LPGA and Korn Ferry events. Falls is a par 71 at 74.5/137 with a waterfall par 5 at the 10th. The Short Course is 18 full-length par 3s. RTJ's winter two-day-plus special starts at $85 a day with cart (Nov 16, 2026 to Mar 7, 2027). Single-round rates are only visible after logging in to RTJ's booking system. See our Robert Trent Jones Trail near Gulf Shores post.

Private: Steelwood

Steelwood Country Club in Loxley is a private Jerry Pate course on a 200-acre lake, about 67 minutes from Gulf Shores. No daily-fee or stay-and-play access is published, so you can only play as a member's guest.
