Rincon Country West: the west-side golf base

Rincon Country West is one of Tucson's largest 55+ RV resorts, a gated community of about 1,100 sites on South Mission Road with a full activity calendar. It has no golf, but the west side's courses are close: Starr Pass 11 minutes, El Rio 13, Sewailo 15, Randolph North 19 and Silverbell 21. I-19 gives quick access south to Green Valley.

2 months (Jan+Feb or Feb+Mar)$2,900
3 months$3,750 plus electric
4 months$4,432 plus electric
5 months$5,030 plus electric

A deluxe pull-through courtyard site runs $98 a day and $541 a week January to March, or from $1,395 a month ($1,694 for February). Park model rentals were $2,950 to $3,450 a month January to March. Daily and weekly rates include electric, water and sewer; monthly and longer are plus electric.

Amenities include a heated pool and hot tubs, pickleball, tennis, woodworking and pottery shops and laundry at the recreation centre. Deposits are one month's rent for monthly and 3-month stays, with 60 days' notice for a full refund. The Starr Pass course guide covers the nearest resort golf.

Rincon Country East: for Fred Enke and the east side

Rincon Country East is the smaller sister park, about 460 sites on Tucson's east side near Saguaro National Park East. Standard sites run about $100 a month less than at Rincon West. Fred Enke, the city's desert-target course, is 8 minutes away; Randolph North and Dell Urich are 18, Forty Niner 22 and Arizona National 24.

2026-27 rates: standard sites from $1,173 a month plus electric ($1,545 for February), $3,517 for 3 months, $4,200 for 4 and $4,898 for 5. Deluxe spaces are $3,809, $4,812 and $5,583 for 3, 4 and 5 months. January to March daily is $78 and weekly $442 on a standard site. It is a long way from the Green Valley and Oro Valley courses. See the Fred Enke course guide.

Voyager RV Resort: golf out the door

Voyager is the only one of these Tucson RV resorts with golf on site: the Voyager RV Resort Golf Course, a 9-hole par 3 of 1,003 yards around a lake, built in 1994 and open all year. It is walkable, allows handicap carts, and has a putting green and practice net. Residents can play 9 or 18, and the course is open daily except during the weekly men's, women's and couples' tournaments. Voyager also plays a weekly league match at Dorado Golf Course. Green fees are not published.

It is a short course, not a full-length layout, so most residents drive to Fred Enke (14 minutes) or Randolph (18) for 18 holes. Other draws: 16 pickleball courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a health clinic, a ballroom and craft clubs.

The catch is price transparency. RV site rates are only quoted for chosen dates through the booking engine, with no rate card; one camper reported $50 a night in November 2025. Park model rentals ran $1,075 to $3,553 a month depending on the time of year. Seasonal and annual stays use a $150 site-holding deposit and a signed site agreement, and minimum check-in age is 55.

Desert Trails: the under-55 option

Desert Trails is a 215-site adult park on Tucson's quiet west side, near Tucson Mountain Park. Campspot lists it for adults 40 and over (another listing says 18 and over), so it suits snowbirds too young for the 55+ parks. Nightly full-hookup sites ran from about $50, or $60 with 50-amp service; monthly and annual rates are by phone on 520-883-8340.

It is not next to a golf course. Tucson Estates Golf Course is about 4 miles east and described as members-only. Sewailo is 16 minutes and Starr Pass 25. Reviewers mention that the park was sold and rates rose.

Green Valley RV Resort: the south-side golf base

Green Valley RV Resort is a 55+ community of 304 spaces, mostly park models plus RV lots, in north Green Valley. It is the RV base for Green Valley golf: Haven 9 minutes, Torres Blancas 13, Quail Creek 14, San Ignacio 17 and Canoa Ranch 18. Water, sewer and trash are included with lots per a listing. No current prices were found, so call 520-625-3900. See Green Valley golf and Green Valley winter rentals.

Which park suits which golfer

  • You want the most public golf within 20 minutes: Rincon Country West.
  • You want desert-target golf at a muni price: Rincon Country East, beside Fred Enke.
  • You want a short game out the door and leagues: Voyager.
  • You are under 55: Desert Trails.
  • You want Green Valley's walkable and cheap courses: Green Valley RV Resort.

The city courses are the backbone for the Tucson parks, so a City Card is worth a look; it was $50 plus tax for the rest of 2026. See Tucson golf passes and the snowbird golf schedule for Tucson, which has rotations from both Rincon parks.

Season notes for RV golfers

Peak demand is January to March, when the Rincon parks charge their highest rates. Most courses overseed from mid-to-late September into October, so an October arrival may find closures. December to February mornings are cold, especially in Green Valley, where the January normal low is 36.1F. Our Tucson winter golf guide covers the season and Canadian stay rules, and where to stay in Tucson for golf compares every base.
