Scottsdale golf vacation rentals: condos, villas and homes near the courses, and the rules to check

Scottsdale golf vacation rentals come in three shapes: furnished condos around Kierland and north Scottsdale, about $3,000 to $7,000 or more a month in listings seen; golf-course homes and condos in Sun Lakes, about $2,000 to $3,500 a month; and villa resorts beside TPC Scottsdale for groups. None we found include golf privileges, and the city's rental rules were not verified in our research.

Scottsdale golf vacation rentals compared

Listing prices are snippets seen November 3, 2026, not verified on the listing pages. Resort fees are from an October 2026 third-party tracker.

Kierland and north Scottsdale condos

The walkable north Scottsdale base is the Kierland area, where condos sit next to Kierland Golf Club and a short drive from TPC Scottsdale's Stadium and Champions courses. Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

What the listings showed:

At least one listing had a one-month minimum. Managers include private owners, Vacasa, Blueground and corporate-housing firms. No renter golf perks were found, so you book Kierland and TPC like any visitor. Kierland's 27 holes are sold as 18-hole combinations of the Ironwood, Acacia and Mesquite nines; its range is open only to members, tee-time players and registered resort or villa guests.

From here, Grayhawk's Raptor is about 11 minutes and the Scottsdale Country Club Roadrunner about 9. The Roadrunner is a public Swing First course despite the name, and the $179 Swing First Golf Card for 2026-27 gives 15% off green fees, a useful habit for a month-long stay. Sun Lakes: golf-course homes for the winter

Sun Lakes is an active-adult town in the south-east Valley with several community courses, and the cheaper of the two rental markets in our files. Listings seen:

• A furnished home on the 18th fairway at $3,500 a month.
• An October to December peak rate of $3,500 a month plus a 1.5% admin fee, a $3,500 deposit and $350 cleaning (Beech Creek Dr listing).
• Long-term furnished golf-course units at about $2,000 to $2,100 a month, one updated September 2025.
• Ironwood Country Club condos on one-month leases at $2,200 to $2,650 total monthly.

Renter golf privileges at the Sun Lakes club courses were not verified. That matters, because Cottonwood is for Sun Lakes homeowners only. Ironwood (IronOaks) is reported open to the public; a blog listed a seven-day pass at $2,377 a year for residents and $2,600 for non-residents (undated).

Villas and suites for golf groups

For a buddies trip of a few nights, a villa resort or an all-suite hotel avoids cleaning fees and minimum stays:

• Hilton Vacation Club Scottsdale Links Resort: timeshare-style villas beside TPC Scottsdale at Perimeter Center, best for groups of four to eight. Kitchens are typical but not confirmed per unit. Expect sales pitches and limited public inventory; book early for Phoenix Open week and March. See the TPC Champions course guide.
• Holiday Inn Club Vacations Scottsdale Resort: villa-format rooms near the Princess and TPC, with a $39.89 resort fee.
• Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas: a mid-priced resort on Scottsdale Rd with villas, $34.21 resort fee; a group compromise between hotel and rental.
• Kimpton Miralina: the old Scottsdale Plaza, reopened in 2026 with villas and six pools, still finishing its buildout.
• Embassy Suites Scottsdale Resort and Scottsdale Marriott Suites Old Town: all-suite hotels near Old Town, each $28.51 a night in fees.

For a month, the kitchen-equipped hotels are an alternative to a lease: Residence Inn Scottsdale North, Sonesta Suites Gainey Ranch, Homewood Suites, Residence Inn Desert View and Residence Inn Mesa East. Park models and RV sites

Snowbirds on a budget often rent a park model in a Mesa RV resort instead of a condo. Valle del Oro lists park model rentals through its office (855-504-0503), and resale park models at Silveridge listed a land lease of about $616 a month. Most of these resorts require at least one occupant aged 55 or over, price January to March as prime and restrict refunds. See Mesa RV resorts and Phoenix snowbird rentals.

Rental or hotel: the numbers

A Kierland-area condo at $3,000 to $7,000 a month works out to roughly $100 to $230 a night over 30 nights, before cleaning, admin fees and utilities. Split between two couples, that compares well with a resort, where the October 2026 tracker showed resort fees alone of $56.44 a night at the Westin Kierland and $62.69 at the Fairmont Princess, on top of room rates we could not capture. For a long weekend the sums flip: minimum stays and cleaning fees make a hotel or villa resort the simpler choice. Sun Lakes, at about $2,000 to $3,500 a month, is the value option; its courses are about 35 minutes from Old Town Scottsdale, free-flow.

The rules and fine print to check

1. Licence and minimum stay. Arizona and city short-term rental rules were not verified for our research files. Ask the owner or manager for the property's licence and any minimum stay.
2. Golf privileges. Get it in writing if the rental includes club access, guest rates or a transfer of the owner's privileges. None were found in the files.
3. HOA rules. Sun Lakes and other active-adult communities set their own rules on renters and golf.
4. Total monthly cost. Add deposits, admin fees, cleaning and utilities to the rent.
5. Peak dates. Phoenix Open week, February 8-14, 2027, and spring training from February 19, 2027, push prices to the top.
6. Canadian stays. Canadians normally get up to six months as visitors, but tax and provincial health limits also apply. See Canadian snowbirds in Arizona.
