Map of the courses in this guide: Naples golf courses: every course from Naples to Fort Myers, playable ones first

Naples golf courses number 145 on our map, from Naples up through Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers to Punta Gorda, but most are private. Only 37 sell tee times to visitors: 17 public and 20 semi-private. Five more take guests of particular resorts. This guide puts the playable ones first, then the guest routes and the private clubs.

Every fee below was seen in November 2026 unless a date is given, and rates change by month and by how full the tee sheet is.

Two short courses round out this half: Bonita Fairways, a par-61 executive where GolfNow summer 2026 hot deals ran $28 to $33 with cart, and The Leaf, Saltleaf's walking-only par-3 nine. Lakewood Country Club in East Naples appears on a public-course list, but that is not confirmed with the club, so call first.

Our Lely Flamingo Island course guide and Stoneybrook course guide go deeper on the two strongest public tests. For a ranked short list, see the best golf courses in Naples, and for every public course from cheapest to dearest, public golf courses in Naples.

Fort Myers, Cape Coral and the courses north of Naples

The Fort Myers side has more bookable golf than Naples and lower prices, but it is 40 minutes to over an hour from downtown Naples.

The full breakdown is in Fort Myers golf courses.

Courses only resort guests can play

Some of the best-known names on the map are not open to the public. They are open to guests of one hotel:

Private Naples golf courses

103 courses on the map are private. Most are members-only clubs or bundled communities where golf comes with the house. Visitors play them as a member's guest, and in some bundled communities a seasonal renter may get golf privileges, depending on club rules.

Closed and changed courses

Several Naples golf courses have closed or changed hands, and old listings still show them:

  • Golden Gate: closed August 1, 2019. Its replacement, The Gate, a nine-hole public course on county land, was preparing to open in December 2026; earlier targets slipped, so treat that as a target.
  • Naples Beach Hotel course: closed with the hotel. The rebuilt Tom Fazio course at Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort is expected in early 2027, and who may play it has not been published.
  • Riviera Golf Club: marked closed since March 2023.
  • Old Corkscrew in Estero: ended daily golf; it is becoming a private club.

See closed golf courses in Naples for what to play instead. Palm Springs has the same private-heavy pattern; compare it in Palm Springs golf courses.

Booking and timing

January to April is peak season, with the highest fees and the busiest tee sheets. Booking windows vary: 7 days at the Fort Myers city courses, Palmetto-Pine and Ibis Landing, 90 days at Saltleaf, 30 days online at Valencia and 1 week for the public at Stoneybrook. Summer is cheapest but brings afternoon storms and aerification closures. The details are in Naples tee times and the best time to golf in Naples.

Where to stay for the most courses

The public Naples golf courses are spread thinly, so the base matters more than the hotel. Three patterns work:

Room prices follow the snowbird season: Collier County hotels averaged $487.60 a night in February 2026, against $230.25 in Lee County from January to March 2026.

Questions golfers ask

How many Naples golf courses can visitors play?

Our map has 145 course records from Naples to Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. Of those, 17 are public and 20 semi-private, so 37 sell tee times to visitors. Five more are open only to guests of particular resorts, and 103 are private.

Which Naples golf courses are closest to downtown?

Hibiscus Golf Club is about 9 minutes from downtown Naples, and the two Lely Resort public courses are 16 to 17 minutes. Tiburón and LaPlaya are about 21 minutes but are for resort guests. These are free-flow estimates with no traffic.

What is the hardest public course in the Naples area?

By slope, Stoneybrook in Estero rates 75.6/143 from its 7,314-yard Champions tees. Magnolia Landing in North Fort Myers is 75.4/142, Eagle Lakes 75.3/141 and Lely's Flamingo Island 75.3/140.

Can I play Tiburón without staying at the Ritz-Carlton?

Plan on staying. Tiburón's access note says guests of The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón and of the beach Ritz-Carlton, Naples can book. GolfNow pages exist, but whether non-guests can book in season was not confirmed, and GolfPass lists a resort stay as required.

Is Hibiscus Golf Club still public?

Yes, for now. The club says it stays a public daily-fee course until April 2027, after which it closes for a rebuild as The Lantern Club, a members-only club targeted for late 2028. Winter 2026-27 is the last season to play it as a public course.

Are Naples golf courses overseeded in winter?

Almost never. Courses here are bermuda grass, which keeps growing all year, so few overseed with rye. The real maintenance season is summer, when many close for a week or more to aerify between June and September.

What is the cheapest regulation course near Naples?

The two city courses in Fort Myers, Fort Myers Country Club and Eastwood, posted $70 with cart before noon and $35 after 3pm for November 2026, and $20 to walk late in the day. In Naples itself, Eagle Lakes posted a $55 twilight rate from 2:30pm for November and December 2026.
