Tee-time ticket: Coral Oaks Golf Course: rates, passes and tees at Cape Coral's city course

Coral Oaks Golf Course is the City of Cape Coral's municipal course, open to everyone, in north Cape Coral. It opened in 1988 and is credited to Arthur Hills. January 2026 rates were $90 with cart, or $65 for Cape Coral residents, and the course sells unlimited, annual and 9-month passes that suit long winter stays.

The research calls it the best public round on the Cape Coral side of the river. This guide covers the rates, the passes and who each one suits, the tees, the practice facilities, and the other public options nearby. Who can play Coral Oaks Golf Course

Coral Oaks Golf Course is owned by the city and open to all. Cape Coral residents get a lower daily rate, about $25 less per round than visitors in season by the research's count. Carts take two riders, and a spectator cart is $50, according to greenfeetracker. The course site said nothing about closures beyond pushing them through the course app.

Coral Oaks rates

Daily fees are seasonal and set monthly. The most recent full rate set in the files is January 2026, via greenfeetracker (checked May 2026):

Coral Oaks passes

This is where Coral Oaks stands out for long stays. Passes listed for 2026-27, read November 3, 2026:

Pass Price What it covers
Unlimited Golf Pass$5,190 single, $9,735 dualgreen fees and cart
Annual Season Pass$2,090 single, $4,070 dual, plus taxgreen fees; you pay cart each round
9-Month Play Pass$1,200 plus taxexcludes January-March; 20% off daily fee then
Junior add-on$400

Which pass suits whom. The 9-Month Play Pass is built for people here from May to December: it skips the three peak months but still gives 20% off then. The Annual Season Pass is cheaper up front but only covers green fees, so add the cart for each round. The Unlimited pass includes cart and makes sense for someone playing several times a week all year.

There is also a PDP program at $225 a month with range balls and free walking after 1pm. That can suit a snowbird who wants to practise and walk late rounds. For how Coral Oaks compares with other passes in the region, see golf passes in Naples and Fort Myers and Naples winter golf.

Doing the pass maths

The numbers below are simple arithmetic on the published figures, not club quotes. At the January 2026 visitor rate of $90 with cart, the $5,190 Unlimited Golf Pass covers its cost after about 58 rounds. The $2,090 Annual Season Pass equals about 23 rounds at $90, but you still pay a cart fee each time, and that fee was not published. The 9-Month Play Pass at $1,200 is the lightest commitment: it skips January to March, and the 20% discount in those months would bring a $90 round to $72.

A Cape Coral resident paying $65 a round needs more rounds for any pass to pay off. Ask the shop for the current daily rate and the cart fee before you choose, since the daily rate changes monthly. After golf, Rumrunners at 5848 Cape Harbour Dr is a waterfront dinner in the Cape Harbour marina village.

Coral Oaks tees and slopes

Tee Yards Rating/slope
Gold6,62373.0/138 (men)
Blue6,07870.2/131 (men)
White5,66068.4/123 (men)
Green5,00965.4/110 (men)
Red4,87069.3/119 (women)
Silver3,79861.1/98 (women)

The course site does not label tee genders; the research assigned Red and Silver as women's ratings by convention. A 138 slope from the Gold is stiff for a municipal course, and the research rates it 3.5 out of 5. Most visitors will enjoy the Blue or White more.

The course and practice

It is a municipal course in north Cape Coral with oaks, pines, water and wetlands. A renovation is reported by mustdo.com, but the year was not confirmed. The practice area is better than most munis: a driving range with grass and artificial turf tees, a chipping area, a putting green and a practice bunker.

Afterward, Knickers Pub is on site, with a pro shop, lessons and a Men's Golf Association. Open the Coral Oaks course guide for the hole map.

When to play

January to March is the busiest stretch, which is why the 9-month pass leaves it out. November and December are shoulder season with dry weather. Summer is the cheapest time, with afternoon thunderstorms and lightning delays, so take early tee times. Coral Oaks publishes no aerification dates and pushes closures through its course app, so install it before a summer or fall visit. Cape Coral took some of the hardest hits from Hurricane Ian in 2022, when Troon named Cape Royal and Del Tura among its worst-hit clubs. See the best time to golf in Naples.

Other public golf in Cape Coral

  • Palmetto-Pine Country Club: an older Arthur Hills club course in south Cape Coral that sells public tee times up to 7 days ahead on its own site. Rates were not published, apart from rentals at $50 for 18. See the Palmetto-Pine course guide.
  • Cape Royal Golf Club: a 27-hole club in southwest Cape Coral selling public tee times; rates unpublished. Troon named it among its hardest-hit clubs after Hurricane Ian in 2022.
  • Hunter's Run Executive Golf Course: a nine-hole, par-30 executive course with walk-in open-play hours. A greenfeetracker post in April 2026 listed $20, season not stated.
