Coral Oaks: Cape Coral's city course

Coral Oaks is the City of Cape Coral's municipal course in north Cape Coral, opened in 1988 and credited to Arthur Hills by long-standing listings. It runs through oaks, pines, water and wetlands and has the best practice set-up on this side of the river: a range with grass and artificial-turf tees, a chipping area, a putting green and a practice bunker. A renovation has been reported, year not confirmed.

Book on the course site, which says booking direct gets the best available rate. Daily fees are seasonal and set monthly. The January 2026 card, via a third-party copy, was $90 for 18 with cart, $70 twilight, $50 for nine, $55 walking and $65 for Cape Coral residents. Carts take two riders, and a spectator cart was $50.

Coral Oaks passes for 2026-27

  • Unlimited Golf Pass: greens and cart, $5,190 single or $9,735 dual.
  • Annual Season Pass: greens only, $2,090 single or $4,070 dual plus tax; you still pay cart each round.
  • 9-Month Play Pass: $1,200 plus tax, excludes January to March but gives 20% off daily fees then.
  • Junior add-on: $400.

The 9-Month pass suits snowbirds staying from May to December or arriving early. See the Coral Oaks course guide, our Coral Oaks Golf Course guide and other cards in golf passes in Naples and Fort Myers.

Palmetto-Pine

Palmetto-Pine is an older, tree-lined Arthur Hills club course from 1969 in a residential neighbourhood in south Cape Coral. It is a member club that sells public tee times up to 7 days ahead on its own site, while members book on a separate sheet. From the 6,590-yard Black tees it rates 72.0/125, and the Gold tees play 5,477 yards.

Public green fees are on the booking engine rather than the rates page, which lists only rentals ($50 for 18, $25 for nine, tax extra) and a twilight rate, playable until 30 minutes before sunset, without a price. Two house rules stand out: finish one to four holes before rain stops play and you get an 18-hole rain check, and no outside coolers or drinks are allowed. Bring a driver's licence to rent a cart. See the Palmetto-Pine course guide.

Cape Royal

Cape Royal is a 27-hole neighbourhood club in a gated part of southwest Cape Coral, with the King, Queen and Prince nines (per GolfLink) and a "quick nine" option. It sells public tee times on its own site, with the best rates booked direct, through the Gallus Golf app. Its 12-Month Pass gives unlimited golf and 15-day priority tee times; 2026-27 passes were on sale by inquiry, with prices not published. Rates are not published either, so check the booking page against Coral Oaks.

Cape Royal was one of the Troon clubs hardest hit by Hurricane Ian in 2022 and was taking bookings in November 2026. It is about a mile from the Westin Cape Coral. See the Cape Royal course guide.

Hunter's Run

Hunter's Run is a nine-hole par-30 executive in southeast Cape Coral, 1,948 yards from the Blue tees. It posts open-play hours for walk-ins: Sunday after 10:00, Monday and Tuesday after 8:00, Wednesday all day, Thursday and Friday after 7:45 and Saturday all day, with league times otherwise. Memberships and golf passes are sold. A third-party listing showed $20 in April 2026. Call 239-574-4454. It is a quick snowbird loop, not a trip course.

Nearby courses

Just north on the Cape Coral and Punta Gorda line, Burnt Store Golf & Activity Club has 27 holes of executive golf that welcome the public; see Punta Gorda golf. Across the river, Fort Myers' city courses posted $70 with cart before noon in November 2026; see Fort Myers golf courses. The cheapest rounds on both sides are in cheap golf in Naples.

Where to stay for Cape Coral golf

For a month or more, see Naples snowbird rentals.

Getting there and around

Cape Coral is across the Caloosahatchee from Fort Myers. The Cape Coral Bridge (from College Parkway) and the Midpoint Memorial Bridge (from Colonial Boulevard) both charge all-electronic LeeWay tolls; the rates were not verified for this guide. The free US 41 and Edison bridges cross further upriver to North Fort Myers. RSW is about 25 minutes from downtown Fort Myers, so allow a little more to reach the Cape.

Timing and storms

Coral Oaks' 9-Month pass skipping January to March tells you when demand peaks. Summer is cheapest but stormy, and the city did not publish 2026 aerification dates. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30; Ian hit this coast hardest in 2022. See hurricane season golf in Florida.

Questions golfers ask

How many golf courses are in Cape Coral?

Our map has four Cape Coral courses, and all four take outside golfers: the city's Coral Oaks, Cape Royal's 27 holes, Palmetto-Pine and the nine-hole Hunter's Run executive. Burnt Store Golf & Activity Club sits just north on the Cape Coral and Punta Gorda line.

How much does Coral Oaks cost?

January 2026 rates were $90 for 18 holes with cart, $70 twilight, $50 for nine, $55 walking and $65 for Cape Coral residents, via a third-party copy of the city sheet. Rates are set monthly, and the November 2026 daily rate was not on the course site.

What golf passes does Coral Oaks sell?

For 2026-27: an Unlimited Golf Pass covering greens and cart at $5,190 single or $9,735 dual; an Annual Season Pass at $2,090 single or $4,070 dual plus tax, where you still pay cart each round; and a 9-Month Play Pass at $1,200 plus tax that excludes January to March but gives 20% off then.

Is Coral Oaks hard?

For a municipal course, yes. From the 6,623-yard Gold tees it rates 73.0/138. The Blue tees are 6,078 yards at 70.2/131 and the White 5,660 at 68.4/123.

How far ahead can I book Palmetto-Pine?

Seven days, on the club's own site under Golf, Public Tee Times & Rates. Members book on a separate sheet. No outside coolers or drinks are allowed, and you need a driver's licence to rent a cart.

Is Cape Coral a good base for Naples golf?

Not really. Cape Coral's centre is about 58 minutes from downtown Naples free-flow, and the Hampton Inn in Cape Coral puts Naples courses 45 to 60 minutes away. It suits trips built on Cape Coral and Fort Myers tee times.

Did Hurricane Ian damage the Cape Coral courses?

Yes. After Ian in September 2022, Troon said its hardest-hit clubs were in Cape Coral, naming Cape Royal and Del Tura. All four Cape Coral courses on our map were taking bookings in November 2026.
