Babcock Ranch: Babcock National and Webb's Reserve

Babcock Ranch is a solar-powered new town inland in Charlotte County, and both of its courses take outside golfers.

Babcock National is a modern Gordon Lewis course. Members book on a member portal; the public books on GolfNow up to 3 days ahead or by phoning the pro shop, so plan late. November-December 2026 public rates were $109 before noon, $99 from noon to 3pm and $69 after 3pm, plus tax. A daily range pass is $30, and rentals start at $55 for 18. The course is closed on Tuesdays all summer, and a June 1-5 closure appears in its 2026 summer aerification schedule. The Watershed Grill is member-only. See the Babcock National course guide.

Webb's Reserve is a brand-new Nicklaus Design course, opened in 2025 and 7,034 yards from the back. It has memberships and a members-only area, and the public books through Troon's golfwithaccess.com. A reviewer reports the clubhouse under construction with opening expected in early 2027 and no food service in the meantime, so bring your own food and drink plan for 2026-27. See the Webb's Reserve course guide.

Burnt Store Golf & Activity Club

Burnt Store, by Burnt Store Marina on Charlotte Harbor on the Cape Coral and Punta Gorda line, has 27 holes of executive golf in three nines, Osprey, Pelican and Heron, by Ron Garl and Mark McCumber. The Pelican nine is par 31 at 2,116 yards. The club says the public is welcome for golf and dining, membership is open to all, and it is open daily from 7am to 5pm. Public tee times go through a Troon booking link; daily rates were not on the home page, and 2026-27 membership rates are in a PDF on the site. A GolfLink review notes the Osprey and Pelican nines were renovated and the Heron was being finished. It is relaxed golf for couples and higher handicaps rather than a test.

The member clubs in Punta Gorda

  • St. Andrews South: a 1981 Ron Garl course, 6,103 yards at 69.2/124. GolfLink lists it as private, members and guests; outside play terms were not confirmed.
  • Twin Isles: the waterfront member club in Punta Gorda Isles, rated 72.9/129. GolfLink lists it as public, but it is a member club, and guest play terms were not confirmed. Call before planning a round.

Two other Punta Gorda courses have unclear status and are not on our map. Seminole Lakes is listed by GolfLink and mapped in OpenStreetMap but not confirmed on an official site. Blue Heron Pines, east of town off Jones Loop Road, appeared on two directories at $25 in April 2026 but also was not confirmed. Call first for either.

North Fort Myers

North Fort Myers sits between Fort Myers and Punta Gorda, across the free US 41 and Edison bridges.

  • Magnolia Landing: a long, watery Gordon Lewis course from 2007 on the Caloosahatchee whose website goes straight to a public TeeItUp booking page. From the Black tees it rates 75.4/142, one of the hardest ratings in Lee County; most players belong on the Gold (6,525 yards, 71.6/130) or Green. See the Magnolia Landing course guide.
  • Herons Glen: a Ron Garl course in a 55+ community, closed most of 2021 for a Garl renovation and reopened December 16, 2021. Outside tee-time terms were not confirmed and the club site did not load, so call ahead.
  • Del Tura: 27 executive holes in a 55+ community on US 41; outside play terms not confirmed.
  • El Rio: a cheap, basic public course, listed at $25 in April 2026.
  • Lake Fairways: a par-60 residents' executive in a 55+ park; non-residents can probably pay to play. Call the pro shop at 239-731-5220.
  • Private: Six Lakes, for residents and their guests.

Pine Lakes, Lochmoor and Sabal Springs appear in some directories, but none was confirmed: Lochmoor's domain is parked and it may be closed. Their status is unclear, so call first. See closed golf courses in Naples.

Getting there and where to stay

Punta Gorda Airport is the natural gateway for this end of the map: 41 minutes from downtown Fort Myers and 82 from downtown Naples, and useful for snowbirds flying from Allegiant cities. RSW is the bigger airport for the whole region. See flights to Fort Myers RSW.

Our map has no hotel in Punta Gorda itself. The nearest long-stay options on it are the North Fort Myers RV parks:

More in Naples RV resorts.

Timing

Babcock National's 3-day window and summer Tuesday closures shape a visit, and Charlotte County follows the same calendar as the rest of the region: January to April is peak, summer is cheapest and stormiest. For booking rules across the map, see Naples tee times; for value rounds, cheap golf in Naples. South across the river, more bookable golf is in Cape Coral golf courses and Fort Myers golf courses.

Plan it on the map

Open the Naples golf map to see Punta Gorda golf at the north edge of the board, Babcock Ranch's two courses and the North Fort Myers options. The $30 plan can fit them into a north Lee trip or a winter rotation from an RV base.
