Red-rock poster: Grande Dunes golf: the public Resort Course and the private Members Club

Grande Dunes golf comes in two forms. The Grande Dunes Resort Course is public: a wide, long Roger Rulewich course on the bluffs above the Intracoastal Waterway, at $222 for an October 23, 2026 morning round from a package operator (seen November 1, 2026). The Grande Dunes Members Club is private, for members and their guests, and no current source confirms any hotel route in. Most visitors play only the Resort Course.

Both sit in the Grande Dunes community on the north side of central Myrtle Beach, about 16 to 21 minutes from the SkyWheel. This guide covers each course, the rates seen in 2026, the tees and what the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes does and does not get you. Prices change by date and hour; read every figure as a guide.

Quick facts

The Grande Dunes Resort Course

The Resort Course is the one you can book. It is a wide, links-style layout on the bluffs above the Intracoastal Waterway, with several holes along the water, and it is long from the back. It is one of the area's better resort rounds and priced toward the top of the market.

The greens are ultradwarf bermuda. GolfPass lists Champion; a renovation to TifEagle was reported by myrtlebeachgolftrips.com, but the year was not confirmed.

The course hosts serious amateur golf. It was named as a host course for a round of the 2026 Play Golf Myrtle Beach World Amateur, and an ASGA event was played there on February 1, 2026. GolfPass reviews run to play dates of October 21, 2026. See the Grande Dunes Resort Course guide for its full record.

Resort Course rates

There is no published seasonal rack-rate table. The dated figures in our files:

When Rate type AM PM Late PM
Sat May 2 (spring)Package single round$292$200-
Sat May 2 (spring)Course direct$294$204-
Oct 23, 2026 (fall)Package operator$222 (early AM and AM)call to book$175

The spring figures come from a Coastal Golfaway chart published January 9, 2026; the chart says it was captured "January 7, 2025," which likely means 2026. The October figures are from myrtlebeachgolftrips.com, seen November 1, 2026. Carts are compulsory.

For a spring Saturday morning, the Resort Course was more expensive than King's North or Pine Lakes in the same chart. In fall, it was still well above most central courses. Our Myrtle Beach golf rates guide shows how that compares across the Strand.

How to book

Book through the course (843-449-7070 for rates and tee times, per a listing), on GolfNow or TeeOff, or through a package operator. The Marina Inn sells packages with it. Golfbreaks also sells a Marina Inn package that pairs the Resort Course with Arcadian Shores and True Blue, valid through December 31, 2026; the price was not in our files. The booking window was not published.

The Grande Dunes Members Club

The Members Club is a private course on the west bank of the Intracoastal Waterway. Heritage Golf Group owns and runs it; the course record dates the purchase to October 2022, after Troon managed the club from 2021. The club site lists about 800 members. Play is for members and their guests, and green fees are not public. Phone: 843-913-1340.

Can a hotel guest play it?

This is where most of the confusion comes from. The history, as our sources record it:

  • 2009: GolfPass said a stay at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes was required to play, and Inn guests were treated as members. The Inn sold "Grande Trio" packages with the Resort Course, the Members Club and Pine Lakes.
  • 2011: a policy allowed resort guests and select hotels and package providers onto the course.
  • January 2014: Club and Resort Business reported that McConnell Golf, the owner at the time, would eliminate all public play, ending that policy.
  • Since: a 2023 reviewer called it the only private club in Myrtle Beach. An old golf-travel page said Marriott guests could play "for a limited period." No 2025 or 2026 source confirms any hotel route.

Treat access as not confirmed. If the Members Club matters to you, ask the Marina Inn and the club directly before booking, and plan around it if the answer is no. Our guide to private golf clubs in Myrtle Beach covers the other members-only courses and the guest routes that do exist.

Other courses close to Grande Dunes

Grande Dunes is central, so some of the Strand's best-known courses are a few minutes away. From the Marina Inn:

Grande Dunes golf in winter

The Members Club's policy was not published. If the Resort Course repeats it, it is one of the greener rounds in town between December and February. Our guide to Myrtle Beach golf winter conditions explains what that means.

Questions golfers ask

Can the public play Grande Dunes?

The Grande Dunes Resort Course is public: book through the course, GolfNow, TeeOff or a package operator. The Grande Dunes Members Club is a separate private course for members and their guests. Most visitors will only play the Resort Course.

How much does the Grande Dunes Resort Course cost?

For a Saturday May 2 tee time, a package-operator single round was $292 in the morning and $200 in the afternoon, against $294 and $204 booked direct, per a chart published January 9, 2026. For October 23, 2026 a package seller listed $222 in the morning and $175 late afternoon. Carts are compulsory.

Do Marina Inn guests get onto the Grande Dunes Members Club?

Not confirmed for 2026. A 2009 GolfPass report said a Marina Inn stay was the way in, but Club and Resort Business reported in January 2014 that the club would end all public play. No current source confirms Inn access, so ask both the Inn and the club before you book.

Who owns the Grande Dunes Members Club?

Heritage Golf Group owns and runs it; the course record dates the purchase to October 2022, after Troon managed it from 2021. The club site lists about 800 members. It is a 2005 Nick Price and Craig Schreiner design.

How long is the Grande Dunes Resort Course?

From the Gold tees it plays 7,618 yards with a 77.3 rating and 142 slope, the longest card in this guide. The White tees at 6,272 yards rate 70.0/126 and suit most groups. It is a wide course, so the length is more manageable than the numbers suggest.

Is Grande Dunes overseeded in winter?

The Resort Course was overseeded wall to wall, rough included, in winter 2025-26, per a myrtlebeachgolftrips.com list published early in 2026. The 2026-27 plan was not confirmed. That makes it one of the greener options for a winter round if the policy holds.

Is the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes on the beach?

No. It sits on the Intracoastal side, about 3 minutes from the Resort Course. Beach access is through the Grande Dunes Ocean Club, so check whether your booking includes it. The Marriott at Grande Dunes is the oceanfront option nearby.
