One flag per course: Myrtle Beach golf courses: every course you can actually book

Myrtle Beach golf courses open to visitors number 57 on our map, from Wedgefield near Georgetown to Thistle and Brunswick Plantation just over the North Carolina line. That count includes the Dunes Club's limited guest times and two short courses. Fifteen more public courses sit off the map, and five clubs on the map are private.

This guide puts every bookable course side by side by area, then lists the ones you cannot book, so your group does not plan a round at a club that will turn you away. Fees were seen on November 1, 2026 and change by season, day and hour, so treat them as a guide, not a quote.

Quick facts

What Myrtle Beach golf courses cost

Most courses use dynamic pricing, and most sell through golf package operators as well as their own tee sheets, so the same round can carry three prices. A few examples, all seen November 1, 2026:

  • Online or direct rates: Prestwick's own tee sheet showed $146 in the morning and $111 after 2 pm for November 2, 2026. Blackmoor showed $74 to $77 that morning and $59 after 1 pm for January 14, 2027.
  • Rack (walk-on) rates: Barefoot's four courses share one table, from $175 Thursday to Sunday mornings for October 26 to November 8, 2026, down to $98 for February 10-16, 2027.
  • Package rates per round: one operator listed King's North at $136 to $160 for November 1, 2026 and Pine Lakes at $128 to $136 for October 5, 2026.

Spring is dearer. Barefoot's walk-on rates for April 1 to May 2, 2027 start at $225 to $235 on Thursday to Sunday mornings. Read Myrtle Beach golf rates for the course-by-course detail and cheap golf in Myrtle Beach for the value end.

The headline courses

  • The Dunes Club is the Grand Strand's 1948 Robert Trent Jones classic and hosts the PGA Tour's Myrtle Beach Classic (next May 13-16, 2027). It is private, with limited guest times. See who can play the Dunes Club.
  • Caledonia and True Blue are Mike Strantz's pair at Pawleys Island, sold together by the same owner. Start with the Caledonia course guide.
  • Barefoot has four courses by Dye, Love, Fazio and Norman on one North Myrtle Beach property. Our Barefoot Resort golf guide compares them.
  • TPC Myrtle Beach is a Fazio design in Murrells Inlet with wetlands on 11 holes; see the TPC Myrtle Beach course guide.
  • Prestwick won both the 2025 Myrtle Beach area and South Carolina course of the year awards; see the Prestwick course guide.
  • Tidewater runs along the Cherry Grove marsh and the Intracoastal Waterway, with an Atlantic view from the 13th green.

Off the map: the Brunswick Islands and inland

Fifteen more public courses are a longer drive. In North Carolina, the four Big Cats courses at Ocean Ridge, including Tiger's Eye, are 53 minutes from the SkyWheel, and Sea Trail has three resort 18s at Sunset Beach, 51 minutes out. Oyster Bay, The Pearl, Sandpiper Bay, Rivers Edge, Brick Landing and Lockwood Folly fill out the list, the last 86 minutes away. In South Carolina, Crown Park in Longs is 42 minutes out and Diamondback in Loris 49. Our Brunswick Islands golf guide covers that side.

Private, closed and unclear

  • Private: Grande Dunes Members Club (members and guests; Marina Inn access unconfirmed), The Surf Club (call about outside play), Wachesaw Plantation (members' guests), The Reserve (members, guests and McConnell Golf members) and DeBordieu (members' guests and some DeBordieu renters with a golf membership).
  • Closed: River Oaks (late 2025), The Witch (2021), Indian Wells and Possum Trot (2019), Heather Glen and the Cane Patch par 3 (2017), Black Bear (2016), Waterway Hills and Wicked Stick (2015), Cypress Bay (2014), Deer Track and Bay Tree (2006), Burning Ridge's West course (2005). Over the line, Carolina Shores closed in November 2024 and Brierwood in 2017, with a plan to reopen nine holes approved but not done.
  • Status unclear, call first: Conway Golf & Country Club. No 2026 evidence was found either way.

How to choose among Myrtle Beach golf courses

  • One splurge round: Caledonia, the Dunes Club on a weekday guest time, or Grande Dunes Resort.
  • Value: Wachesaw East, Blackmoor and International Club in Murrells Inlet, or Beachwood and Azalea Sands on the North Strand.
  • Mixed-ability group: Barefoot Norman, SouthCreek or Willbrook.
  • Short on time: the Aero Club par 3, lit for night golf, or Tupelo Bay's par-58 executive course.

Where you stay decides most of this: Caledonia is 40 minutes from the SkyWheel and Long Bay 39, in opposite directions. Our Grand Strand golf guide explains the areas. If you are weighing beach towns, our Destin golf courses guide lists that coast the same way.
