Barefoot Resort golf means four courses on one North Myrtle Beach property, all opened in 2000: the Pete Dye, the Davis Love III, the Tom Fazio and the Greg Norman. The Love is the all-round pick, the Dye the hardest, the Norman the friendliest and the Fazio the tightest. All four share one walk-on rate table, $150 to $175 in early November 2026.
Because the courses share a gate, a rate card and a package, it is easy to play two to four of them on one trip. This guide compares the four, then covers what they cost by season and how the discounts work. Rates were read on barefootgolf.com on November 1, 2026; they are "starting at" walk-on (rack) rates with carts, and pricing is dynamic.

The Dye Course
Pete Dye's target golf among the Carolina Bays, inside the gated Dye Estates: railroad-tie and waste bunkers, water and forced angles. It is the hardest of the four, and its 149 slope from the 7,314-yard Platinum tees is among the highest on the Grand Strand. Even the Black tees slope 143, so play the White (6,064 yards) or Green unless you are a single-digit handicap.
The Dye is the home of the Dye Club membership, which also gives members the other three courses. There is no separate private Dye Club course; the name is this course's membership and clubhouse. Members get priority, so book public times early. See the Barefoot Dye course guide.
The Love Course
Davis Love III's course has wide fairways and Pinehurst No. 2-inspired crowned greens, plus faux plantation ruins on the front nine. The resort calls it its most balanced course, and it is the safe pick if your group plays only one Barefoot round. Misses long or short-sided on the crowned greens leave hard up-and-downs, so aim for the middle.
The Fazio Course
A par 71 through live oaks, longleaf pines, wetlands and lakes, with tree-lined fairways and steep-faced fairway bunkers. It is the shortest of the four but the tightest test, and suits a group that hits it straight more than long. The nines do not return to the clubhouse, so pick up food and drinks before you go off. See the Barefoot Fazio course guide.
The Norman Course
Greg Norman's course has wide fairways, sandy waste areas and white-faced bunkers, with seven holes on the Intracoastal Waterway. The resort calls it the most golfer-friendly of the four. The waterway holes play into or across the prevailing breeze, so club up there. It is the easy choice for mixed-ability groups and couples. See the Barefoot Norman course guide.

How to order four Barefoot rounds
The package needs one round after noon, so plan for it. A sensible order for a mixed group is the Norman first, to warm up on the widest fairways, then the Love, then the Fazio, with the Dye saved for the day the group is playing best and the weather is calm. If anyone wants a second round on a day, ask about the same-day replay rate in person after the first round.
Pick tees by course, not habit. The Fazio's White tees are only 5,636 yards, while the Dye's White tees are 6,064 yards at a 132 slope, so a group that plays the whites everywhere will find the Fazio short and the Dye hard.
Discounts and the Barefoot Experience package
- Multi-round: 10% off two or more rounds; 25% off each round playing all four courses. That makes a Barefoot-only trip cheaper per round than mixing in one Barefoot course.
- Barefoot Experience: three nights in a two-bedroom golf villa, priced for four golfers, with four rounds (one on each course, one of them after noon), carts, taxes, free range balls and daily breakfast at the resort clubhouse, at 25% off each round versus rack. The fourth night is free in golf villas when booked at reservation, with blackout dates. Every 20th golfer is free for groups of 20 or more, and there is a 2% admin fee.
- Spring 2027 offer: up to 30% off peak spring rates for stays March 11-24, 2027, booked by January 15, 2027.
- Replays: a reduced same-day rate, booked in person after the first round; pre-booked replays pay full rate.
Cancellations need 72 hours' notice per foursome for tee times, and package cancellations within 30 days of arrival forfeit in full. Compare this with other stay-and-plays in Myrtle Beach golf packages.
Where to stay
Barefoot's golf villas are the package base, 4 to 5 minutes from all four first tees but about 10 minutes from the ocean. Yacht Club Villas on the waterway cost extra, and new Dye Club Cottages sit by the Dye clubhouse. The resort site shows prices only as a dollar-sign scale, with late March and late April at the top, so get a quote. Third-party listings showed $333 to $721 per person for four nights and four rounds, valid through December 31, 2026, not confirmed on the resort site.
Barefoot packages are also sold with North Beach Plantation, oceanfront and 7 to 8 minutes away, and the Courtyard at Barefoot Landing. For an RV, Barefoot RV Resort posts $77 a night from December to February (seen November 2026; rates change), 6 to 7 minutes from the courses. More in Myrtle Beach golf resorts.
Around Barefoot
Barefoot Landing next door has Greg Norman's Australian Grille, Flying Fish and LandShark for after the round. Tidewater, 26 minutes from the villas, is the strongest non-Barefoot course nearby. Questions golfers ask
Which Barefoot course is the best?
The Love Course is the all-round favourite and the one the resort calls its most balanced: wide fairways and crowned greens. The Dye Course is the hardest and quietest. The Norman is the friendliest and has seven holes on the Intracoastal Waterway, and the Fazio is the tightest, tree-lined test.
How much does it cost to play Barefoot?
Barefoot's walk-on table, read November 1, 2026, starts at $150 to $175 for October 26 to November 8, 2026, $95 to $108 for January 4 to February 9, 2027 and $225 to $235 on Thursday to Sunday mornings from April 1 to May 2, 2027. Carts are included and all four courses share one table.
Can the public play the Barefoot Dye Course?
Yes. The Dye Course is semi-private and home to the Dye Club membership, but the public can book at posted walk-on and online rates and through packages. Members get priority, so public times can be thinner than on the other three.
What is the cheapest week to play Barefoot?
February 10-16, 2027, Super Bowl week, at $98 any day, which the resort calls the lowest rate of the year. The rest of January 4 to February 9, 2027 runs $95 to $108.
Is there a discount for playing all four Barefoot courses?
Yes: 25% off each round when you play all four, and 10% off for two or more rounds. The Barefoot Experience stay-and-play package takes 25-30% off each round and includes daily breakfast at the resort clubhouse.
Does Barefoot sell replay rounds?
It sells a reduced same-day replay rate, booked in person after your first round and subject to availability. A replay booked in advance pays full rate, and only the Barefoot Experience package qualifies for the preferred replay rates.
When does Barefoot aerify?
In 2027, the Fazio June 7-12, the Dye June 21-27, the Love July 5-10 and the Norman July 19-24, each with 10 to 12 days to recover. Overseeding plans are not published.
How far is Barefoot from Myrtle Beach?
About 26 minutes from the SkyWheel, free-flow, in North Myrtle Beach on the Intracoastal Waterway. Barefoot's own golf villas are 4 to 5 minutes from all four first tees, and Barefoot Landing's restaurants are next door.
