Scorecard: Snowbird golf schedule for Las Vegas: a weekly rotation for value and conditions

A snowbird golf schedule for Las Vegas works best as a weekly rotation from one base: two value rounds close to home, a round at the second course of a 36-hole facility, and one better course midweek. Book mid-morning in December and January to dodge frost, prepay where it saves money, and use resident rates where you qualify.

This guide lays out a snowbird golf schedule for Las Vegas from three bases, Henderson's Anthem, Sun City Summerlin and Boulder City, with drive times, fees seen in 2026 and the booking rules that shape the week. Few courses publish winter rate cards, so the fees below are snapshots; prices change.

Quick facts

  • Rounds per week: three or four in these sample rotations.
  • Tee time: mid-morning in December and January for frost; earlier from February.
  • Best saver: afternoon TPC Las Vegas (about $100 weekday), prepaid Revere (10% off), GolfNow Hot Deals.
  • Booking windows: resident tee times 7 days ahead at Reflection Bay and the Paiute resort.
  • Winter hours: Desert Willow closes at 4pm until January 10, 2027.
  • Season shape: fees step down December to February and climb through February.

Rotation 1: from Henderson (Anthem)

Base: Sun City Anthem rentals or the Residence Inn South/Henderson.

SaturdayRevere Concord or the Legacy3 / 13 minLegacy $46.99-$57.99 (Oct 2026)value round

Once a month, swap Thursday for Cascata (29 minutes) or Reflection Bay (33). Cascata's fee includes a forecaddie, with a suggested $40 tip per player, and Caesars Rewards members get tier discounts. The Double Down package, one round at Cascata and one at Serket within five days, was priced from $750 in fall. Revere runs a separate booking track for Sun City Anthem residents. See the Revere Lexington course guide and the Serket course guide.

Rotation 2: from Sun City Summerlin

Base: Sun City Summerlin rentals.

Golf Summerlin's three courses are open to the public; the $500 resident card is for Sun City Summerlin residents, and our files do not say whether renters qualify. TPC Las Vegas is about $175 weekday and $195 weekend before noon on Green Fee Tracker (approximate, April 2026), so the afternoon is the smart buy; in December and January check that an afternoon start finishes before sunset. Durango Hills, a par-58 executive course 9 minutes away, sold 18 holes at $38.49 to $61.49 on October 16, 2026. Angel Park's lit Cloud Nine short course is a good evening session. See the Palm Valley course guide and the TPC Las Vegas course guide.

Rotation 3: from Boulder City

Base: Canyon Trail RV Park or another Boulder City RV park.

Day Course Drive from Canyon Trail Fee seen

Fridaythe Legacy or Wildhorse23 / 27 minWildhorse from about $29.99 (Aug 2026) to $109.99 (Oct 2026)

Boulder Creek has 27 holes, three nines played as 18-hole combinations, so ask which two are in play and you get variety without driving. Cascata is 8 minutes away for a splurge.

Practice and short-game days

A rotation needs off days too, and several are golf-adjacent. Angel Park's Cloud Nine is a 12-hole walkable short course modelled on famous par-3s, with nine holes lit for evening play, plus the lit Devine 9 putting course; public, Arcis cardholder and resident rates apply (amounts not listed). Topgolf, behind MGM Grand on Koval Ln, has 120 all-weather bays priced per bay per hour for up to six players, with a $6 new-player activation fee and free parking. For simulators, The Back Nine Golf in Summerlin is listed with 12 bays and open 24 hours, and Nice Shot Golf Lounge in Henderson is near Serket and the Anthem courses (both from aggregator listings). The Oasis RV resort and the Hitchin' Post also have putting greens for RV snowbirds.

Booking rules that shape the week

  • Revere: cancel 72 hours ahead to avoid a fee; if under 75% of a group shows, 50% of the greens fee may be charged; 10% off prepaid.
  • Reflection Bay: Clark County residents with a Nevada licence or Nevada Seasonal Resident ID book 7 days out; cancel inside 48 hours and the card is charged.
  • Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort: same ID rule and 7-day resident window; booking outside it pays rack rate; 48-hour cancellation.
  • Serket: Executive passholders book 14 days ahead; the public window is not stated.

Most other courses do not publish a booking window. Our Las Vegas tee times guide covers each system, and Las Vegas golf resident rates explains who qualifies for what.

Mixing in a day trip

Once or twice a winter, a day out breaks the routine: Coyote Springs, a Nicklaus course 67 minutes north of the Strip, or Mesquite, about 92 minutes up I-15 and a golf town of its own. See Las Vegas to Mesquite golf and Mesquite's own snowbird golf guide.

Questions golfers ask

How many rounds a week do Las Vegas snowbirds play?

Our files do not give a typical number, but the rotations in this guide use three or four rounds a week: two value rounds near home, one round at the second course of a 36-hole facility and one better course midweek. Adjust to your budget and the weather.

What time should snowbirds tee off in a Las Vegas winter?

Mid-morning in December and January. NOAA normals give 4.6 freezing nights in December and 3.3 in January at the airport, and frost delays often push back early tee times. Sunset is around 4:30 to 4:50pm in those months, so a late start runs out of light.

Which is the best base for a Las Vegas snowbird golf rotation?

Henderson's Anthem or Summerlin's Sun City, depending on the courses you prefer. From Sun City Anthem, both Revere courses are 2 to 3 minutes away and Serket 7. From Sun City Summerlin, the three Golf Summerlin courses are 2 to 6 minutes away and TPC Las Vegas and Angel Park 10.

How do I save money on a weekly golf rotation in Las Vegas?

Prepay at the Revere for 10% off, book TPC Las Vegas in the afternoon (about $100 weekday against about $175 before noon on a 2026 tracker), use GolfNow Hot Deals at courses such as the Legacy and Wildhorse, and use resident rates where you qualify.

Do Las Vegas courses close during the snowbird season?

Not for overseed, which runs from late August to early October. Watch winter hours instead: Desert Willow closes at 4pm from November 1, 2026 to January 10, 2027, and the lit North Las Vegas par-3 closes at 43F or below.

Should I play Reflection Bay in January?

You can, but know the turf. Only Reflection Bay's tee boxes are overseeded, so its paspalum fairways go firm and tan in cold snaps instead of green rye. Its green fees are not published; rates show in the online booking engine.

What are the cancellation rules for a weekly booking?

They vary. The Revere asks for 72 hours' notice to avoid a fee and may charge 50% of the greens fee if under 75% of a group shows. Reflection Bay charges your card if you cancel inside 48 hours, and the Paiute resort has a 48-hour cancellation policy.
