Las Vegas golf resorts work differently from most golf towns: only a few hotels unlock a course. MGM Resorts hotels are the only way into Shadow Creek, Wynn and Encore guests get priority at Wynn Golf Club, and the two Lake Las Vegas resorts partner with Reflection Bay. Everywhere else, a hotel is simply a base near public courses.

This guide sorts the Las Vegas golf resorts by what they actually unlock, then covers the off-Strip resorts that sit closest to the best public golf. Room rates were not captured for any hotel; resort fees are from a third-party tracker read in November 2026 and change often.

Quick facts

  • Shadow Creek: MGM Resorts hotel guests only; $1,250 per player in 2026 with a limo (GolfNewsNet).
  • Wynn Golf Club: non-guests can play, but Wynn and Encore guests book first; up to $1,000 at peak (casinos.com, September 2026).
  • Reflection Bay: Stay-N-Play partner hotels are the Hilton and Westin at Lake Las Vegas.
  • Cascata and Serket: Caesars Rewards tier discounts, not a hotel tie-in.
  • Lowest resort fees among the golf resorts: Hilton Lake Las Vegas $32.77, Westin Lake Las Vegas $35 (November 2026 tracker).
  • Everything else: public courses anyone can book; the hotel only changes the drive.

MGM Resorts hotels and Shadow Creek

Shadow Creek is the reason most golfers book an MGM room. It is open only to guests staying at an MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotel, and you request the tee time through the hotel or MGM golf concierge once you hold a reservation. GolfNewsNet put the 2026 fee at $1,250 per player, including a round-trip limousine from your hotel and a personal concierge. It says the caddie fee and tip are separate; other guides say a caddie is included, so confirm. Several 2026 guides say paying guests are mostly accommodated Monday to Thursday, with weekends largely held for invited guests. MGM has not confirmed that.

Which MGM hotels count? GolfNewsNet names MGM Grand, Bellagio, New York-New York, Aria and Park MGM. Secondary sources add Vdara and Mandalay Bay. Luxor, Excalibur and the Cosmopolitan are MGM-operated, but no source we read names them as participating, so ask MGM before booking one of those for Shadow Creek.

If Shadow Creek is the point of the trip, New York-New York has the lowest resort fee of the named hotels ($51.02). Bellagio is the classic base and carries the top fee. Mandalay Bay adds a 3-minute run to Bali Hai for a second round. See the Shadow Creek course guide and our Shadow Creek golf guide.

Wynn and Encore: golf behind the hotel

Wynn Golf Club is the only course on the Strip, a Tom Fazio design behind the Wynn and Encore towers. The hotel record says non-guests can play, but hotel guests get booking priority; third-party sources report a 90-day window for guests against about 30 days for the public, which the Wynn site does not confirm. The Golf Concierge is on (702) 770-4653.

Wynn does not publish the green fee. A September 2026 casinos.com piece cites a $450 to $1,000 range that moves with hotel room rates, with the top end during the holidays and the F1 Grand Prix. The fee includes Callaway rental clubs, Tee House food during the round and soft drinks, and the caddies are PGA professionals; budget the caddie tip on top. Wynn and Encore guests park free, which offsets part of the $62.36 resort fee. More in the Wynn Golf Club course guide and our Wynn Golf Club guide.

Lake Las Vegas: the Reflection Bay resorts

Reflection Bay is a public Jack Nicklaus course on the lake, so anyone can book it. The Hilton and the Westin are listed as Stay-N-Play partners (inquiries (800) 407-7723), but no 2026-27 package price was published, and an UnderPar Westin package ran only to May 31, 2026. Both resorts have the lowest resort fees of any golf-linked hotel in our files.

The trade-off is distance: about 30 to 33 minutes to the Strip and 40 or more to Shadow Creek. Reflection Bay's fairways are paspalum and are not overseeded, so they play firm and tan in winter. See our Lake Las Vegas golf guide and the Reflection Bay Golf Club guide.

Caesars hotels: rewards pricing at Cascata and Serket

No Caesars hotel has its own course. Caesars Palace has no guest-only golf tied to it. What Caesars Rewards does buy is tier-based green fee discounts at Cascata in Boulder City and Serket (formerly Rio Secco) in Henderson, for the member and up to three accompanied guests. The exact list of qualifying hotels is not published, and both clubs sell Stay and Play packages without publishing the hotels.

The practical move is to let the highest-tier player in the group book. Cascata's fee includes cart, practice and a forecaddie per group, with a suggested $40 tip per player. The two clubs also sell a Double Down package, one round at each within five days, from $525 in summer and $750 in fall.

Off-Strip resorts near the best public golf

These resorts unlock nothing, but they cut the drive to the courses most groups play.

Resort Nearest public golf Resort fee (Nov 2026)
Red Rock Casino ResortArroyo at Red Rock 4 min, TPC Las Vegas 7 min$62.15
JW Marriott Las VegasAngel Park 4 min, TPC Las Vegas 7 min$50.85
Green Valley RanchThe Legacy 4 min, Serket 10 min$51.30
M ResortThe Revere 11 min, Serket 11 min$45.59
Aliante Casino + HotelAliante Golf Club 2 min$40.67

Red Rock is the upscale Summerlin base, but its resort fee is Strip-level. The JW Marriott suits Marriott Bonvoy members. Green Valley Ranch is the upscale Henderson pick, and the M Resort is the cheaper south-valley option on the way to the Henderson courses. Aliante is 13 minutes from Shadow Creek, but it is not an MGM hotel and does not unlock it.

One more to know: the Four Seasons Las Vegas sits inside the Mandalay Bay complex, but it is not an MGM brand and no source says its guests qualify for Shadow Creek.

How to choose between Las Vegas golf resorts

  • Shadow Creek is the trip: a named MGM hotel, midweek, with the round booked as soon as the room is confirmed.
  • Strip golf with no car: Wynn or Encore for Wynn Golf Club, or a south-Strip MGM hotel for Bali Hai.
  • Quiet golf base: the Hilton or Westin at Lake Las Vegas, with Reflection Bay at the door.
  • Most public golf within 10 minutes: Red Rock Casino Resort or the JW Marriott in Summerlin.
  • Henderson canyon courses: Green Valley Ranch or the M Resort.

Timing matters as much as the hotel. Strip prices peak for F1 week (November 19-21, 2026), NFR (December 3-12, 2026), New Year's Eve and CES (January 6-9, 2027). Questions golfers ask

Which Las Vegas hotels let you play Shadow Creek?

Only guests of MGM Resorts Las Vegas hotels. A 2026 GolfNewsNet piece names MGM Grand, Bellagio, New York-New York, Aria and Park MGM, and other sources add Vdara and Mandalay Bay. Our files found no source naming Luxor, Excalibur or the Cosmopolitan, so confirm with MGM before booking one of those for Shadow Creek.

How much does Shadow Creek cost for hotel guests?

GolfNewsNet reported $1,250 per player in April 2026, including a round-trip limousine from your MGM hotel. Sources disagree on whether the caddie is included, and the caddie tip is extra either way. Several 2026 guides say paying guests mostly play Monday to Thursday, which MGM has not confirmed.

Do you have to stay at Wynn to play Wynn Golf Club?

Not according to the Wynn hotel record: non-guests can play, but Wynn and Encore guests get booking priority. Third-party sources report a 90-day window for guests against about 30 days for the public, which the Wynn site does not confirm. Book through the Golf Concierge at (702) 770-4653.

Which resort is best for Reflection Bay?

The Hilton Lake Las Vegas and the Westin Lake Las Vegas are both Reflection Bay Stay-N-Play partners, 3 and 2 minutes from the first tee. No 2026-27 package price was published. Their resort fees, $32.77 and $35 a night on the November 2026 tracker, are among the lowest of any resort in the valley.

Do Caesars hotels have a golf course?

No Caesars hotel has its own course, but Caesars Rewards members get tier-based green fee discounts at Cascata and Serket for themselves and up to three accompanied guests. The exact list of qualifying hotels is not published. Caesars Palace itself has no guest-only course tied to it.

What is the best off-Strip golf resort in Las Vegas?

It depends on the courses you want. Red Rock Casino Resort is 4 minutes from Arroyo and 7 from TPC Las Vegas, the JW Marriott in Summerlin is 4 minutes from Angel Park, and Green Valley Ranch is 4 minutes from the Legacy and 10 from Serket. None of them sells a golf package that our files could find for 2026.

Are Las Vegas golf resorts cheaper midweek?

Usually, yes. Strip rates swing with conventions and events, Friday and Saturday nights are routinely the most expensive, and Sunday to Thursday stays are usually the value play for golf groups. Avoid F1 week (November 19-21, 2026), NFR (December 3-12, 2026) and CES (January 6-9, 2027) if price matters.
